Here is where the free officers relax, socialize and drink. Here is also where the Kings of the kingdoms will often finf their free officers to fill their ranks. The tavern for the kingdom of Chu is located in ChengDu.

Zhao Yun sat in the middle of the tavern drinking tea. "Is there any lord in this land worthy to serve under?" he asked himself. He took a sip from the small, steaming cup that held his tea. As he put the cup down, Yun let out a sigh. The tavern that he sat in was unusually busy, but he didn't care as long as order was kept.

As Zhao Yun finished his tea, a thought came to him. "If I make a request to the queen, she could find me a lord to serve." he said to himelf. He stood up and walked out of the tavern. Of course, he left the money for the tea he drank on the table. He went to his horse and rode to the gates of Cheng Du castle.

She walked over to an empty table and sat down. She looked around at the few men who took a look at her. Some had their gaw dropped others were just dumbfounded that a girl walked in on her own with out the escort of a man.
She rose a brow and folded her arms.
Other looked away but the ones who knew her got up and just left. Probably to go tell some on that a forgiener was in their capital.
She sighed softly, she really didn't care. She always lived on the edge and liked it that, but if she held back a bit maybe she wouldn't have the inner demon in her mind. She sighed and ordered some dim sum and a some tea.
SHe waited and looked around again. It seemd a few more men had entered and had just been watching her.
The demon in her mind laughed a little. "Looks like your in trouble." it said and just continued. "I know a spell perfect for them"
SHang Xiang sighed softly. "I'll wait till they leave, they won't cause much trouble in here.....they know better" she said and smiled as she got her order. She sipped her tea silently.

Zhao Yun returned to the tavern after his talk with the queen. He was in high spirits, as the queen would allow him to join the Chu army. If fortune favored upon him, he would find a lord worth serving. He came across an empty table near the door and ordered some oolong tea, a type he has never had before.

A few men came over to Shang Xiangs table and starred at her. One spoke. "So you come in here wanting to die?" one asked glarring at her. "Its not good for a young girl as pretty as yourself to come in here with out a male escort" another said with a grin.
She gave a soft sigh and finished eating her dim sum. She stood up and folded her arms. "I've done noithing" she muttered to them with a emotionless voice. "Let me finish my drink and I'll leave but anything before that happens to me, and I'll be forced to harm you." she said her eyes dark and cold for the moment
The men laughed and one advanced shoving her against a near by wall the others circling around. He leaned down against her ear and whispered. "I'd like to see you try"
A face of anger grew on her face and she closed her eyes and kneed him in the groind then punched him in the gut. "Never touch me" she yelled at him
The other men picked up their friend and starred at her. "We'll show you who messes with Chu" one shouted at her.
SHe frowned and placed both her hands on her weapons and starred at them ready to attack

Zhao Yun stood up quickly after the commotion started. He put down his tea and walked over to the men gathering around Shang Xiang. "Leave her alone." he told the men.
"And who are you?" one of the men asked. "I'd suggest you move along before you get hurt."
"I am Zhao Yun of Chu. I will not allow such vulgar behavior towards a woman." he said before kicking the man that shoved Shand Xiang in the face.

The men starred at him and just left. Either to get more of their buddies or just to get out of there.
Shang Xiang gave a soft sigh and relaxed her hands and moved them away from her weapons. She looked up at the man. "Thank you...." she said a bit hesitantly.
She was going to beat them down that wasn't an issue the issue was is that if any one important reconized her from Han she'd surely be dead. BUt that wasn't the case.
She walked back to her table and sat down. SHe looked at Zhao Yun and geustered a seat next to her. "I might as well buy you a drink for your kindness" she said with a nod. "Do you drink tea?"

"I thank you for your offer milady." Zhao Yun replied, sitting next to her. "I frequent this tavern just for their tea. The many varieties served here are astounding, and quite delicious. Oh, where are my maners, it just wouldn't be right to have tea with someone without a proper introduction. I am Zhao Yun, warrior of Chu."

She smiled and nodded. She was about to speak when she held her tongue. No way she could tell him who she was. That would be bad.
"I am....." she paused for a moment to thikn of a name.
"Illid" said the demon in her mind.
"Illid....." she said a bit slowly confused. "Illid, is that the best you could come up with?" she asked the voice in her head meantally.
"That is my name you stupid child" hissed hte voice in her mind
She just smiled. "YEs....illid, short for....illidia" she siad making up a name on the spot.
She starred at the man and rose a brow. "Don't I know you?" she asked him. She could swear she had seen him before. "Do you travel often?" she asked him
She then paused. If she recconized him could he recconize her?

"I don't travel, but I fought in wars before. I was known as one of the five Tiger Generals, Zhao Yun of Shu. I served and protected lord Liu Bei for most of the war, and my expertise with a spear is well known. I am currently looking for a new master, a lord worthy to serve under, so I joined this new war under the Chu banner." The waiter came by and Zhao Yun ordered a Black Chai tea.

Thats where she knew him. Her husband Liu Bei. He has long been gone from this world vanished almost. No new of his death, so no one knows if he is alive or dead.
She looked down at the table. She was his second and most beloved wife Sun Shang Xiang. She married him for an alliance, but she didn't think she would fall in love with him. And when he vanished she almost committed suicide but she held her self together and moved on.
She gave a soft smile. "I've heard many good things about him" she said with a nod. She got her order of sun tea and sipped it softly not looking at him.
She still looked much the same when she married Liu Bei and probabbly still would thanks to the demon in her soul.

The waiter returned with the black chai and Zhao Yun took a sip. "Now that I think about it, those clothes seem familiar." Zhao Yun thought a little harder. "Yes, while fighting with the tactitian Zhuge Liang, we fought with the Sun family. The color and style of your clothing bears a striking resemblance to the Sun family's, miss Illidia. Have you heard of them?" Yun took another sip of his chai.

She sipped her tea remaining calm. "Well if they came from WuHu i was just there buying some clothing at the markets." she said making a very beliveble lie.
Her next order of Dim sum came and she took small bites trying to keep cool.
"As for that family.....I've only heard a few things of their sons and daughter" she said with a nod. "Noithing more then that."

Zhoa Yun sipped some more of his tea. "Miss Illidia, you bear a striking resemblance to the Sun family's daughter. Not to mention those weapons you have there are the same that she used." He sipped the rest of the chai. "I'm sure it's not just a coincidance, Illidia. But, there is no reason to cause a stir now. If you are, as I suspect, Sun Shang Xiang, then we may meet again on the battlefield." Zhao Yun stood up. "I am certain we will meet again." Yun bowed and walked away from the table.
