The ship glided across the lake as silent as the night around it. The moon was full this night, and it reflected in the water beautifully. Valen stood on the bow of the ship. Most Knights were uncomfortable on ships. They could not use their warrior skills to save their lives, and often times their armor meant certain death. Even a Vampire can drown, and if no one were to recover him he would stay dead till he came ashore. But Valen loved it. He was always at peace on the water, it seemed so detached from the rest of the world. It was not long though before they began their journey up the river...
