The giant dragon started to descend into the mountains. He flew low between the mountain passes and followed a river then turned and flew along a canyon until he came to it's end where he landed gently so as to not hurt Rae. He held her up with one claw while with the other 3 he walked into the mouth of an enormous cave. He walked a little ways in and turned a corner so that you could not see outside. Then he dropped Rae to the cold ground of the stone cave. All of a sudden the cave was lit up by the dragon's fire breath. He lit a massive gold chandelier hanging from chains bolted into the ceiling. It was covered with more than a hundred candles. He also lit up a series of torches, candle stands, and other lights in his home till the place was fairly well lit, but what truly lit up the cave were the many massive piles of gold, silver, diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and every other precious stone and metal you could think of. They were all beautiful crafted, the jewels were all cut and the metals were either made into coins, blocks, or some other treasure. And in the center of each of these piles that alone would have made Rae jealous was the largest pile of all, one that the fire dragon could sit on top of and sleep on, and judging from the imprint in the pile it was likely he did just that.

The dragon walked away and then turned around and sat to face Rae. Then the Dragon's features began to twist and contort and he became smaller and smaller till he finally was no longer a dragon but a man, dressed in red leather armor with a large red leather hat. His face was that of a middle aged, clean shaven, handsome man and he smiled egotistically at Rae. "Welcome mortal! To my kingdom! I thought I would be gracious and allow you to witness my 'human' form before my magnificent god form overwhelmed you with it's glory," he said this with all seriousness and in a way that if Rae had something contrary he probably would not have heard it.

A flash of confusion crossed his face, but it quickly vanished with a smug smile, "ha. You are a clever one human, to pretend to be one of my own kind! It has been long since I have had such an amusing guest!"

"Well I'll be honest with you. I ate her, but I assure you that it is quick and painless." He walked over to his pile of gold and climbed up a little ways and sat down, "to be honest I don't much care for eating people, but I feel that one has to do it to keep that mystique that dragons have. Also it keeps the locals in line."

"Hahaha, well it is quick, so quick that you won't have time to experience pain. And I am thirteen hundred and seventeen years old."

He laughed hard, "and share my treasure!? No. Why, are you offering?" He laughed hard again.

"Oh, well I usually eat animals and the like. So I usually keep maidens here till I bore of them, but that can take days sometimes. You might even last a couple weeks since you are so funny."

He hopped down from his pile of gold to join her. "So long as it is not a chess game for my treasure then I don't mind." He smiled smugly, "however if it were I could of course easily beat you, but I never bet such high stakes on such a small thing, even if my chances of victory are almost guaranteed."
