UNA violet SIMMS
the littlest bee.

Let me swallow you whole and trace my taste buds around every tender drop of who you are,

______________________________

n a m ε :: What's in a name if not called? Possibly known, But never uttered. Una Violet Simms.
a g ε :: Even at 21 its never too late to begin again.

g ε n d ε r :: In another light she would pose, an elegant lioness, but she clutches to herself, an exile, a hiding of secrets.

c o υ n т r y :: Humble and royal. Reaching high bending lower, Wisteria bloom.

c l a s s :: The healer, unbiased, unrelenting. She tends the wounded, she tends the ill, whomever they are, whatever they have done, none of it matters, only that they need help.

l ε v ε l :: Starter tier.

o c c υ p a т i o n :: Una spends her days making house calls and studying her scrolls. At night she plays with potions, trying to perfect her skill. Sometimes she helps out at the local clinic and sometimes she visits the school simply to help teach the younger children.

r ε l i g i o n :: ---

Starting with those world-worn, mud-trodden, kiss-me-tender eyes. I'll open the center of your smile and work my way inwards...

______________________________

h ε i g h т :: She isn't short yet shes not tall either. Standing at a gracious five feet, six inches she falls just one inch above average.

h a i r . c o l o r :: Her hair is the color of freshly turned autumn leaves and tree sap just as it drips down the bark of a tree. It is a beautiful shade of deep strawberry blond a color so close to being red that it almost resembles that of an early setting sun.

ε y ε . c o l o r :: Her eyes are the deep purple of freshly bloomed wild flowers with bursts of blue and gold here and there.

o v ε r a l l . a p p ε a r a n c ε :: Her smiles are infectious, dimpled cheeks causing warm spots to burst all over your heart. You can feel it growing in you the rosier her cheeks get. There's this air about her that often causes a few long stares from strangers. But she never returns them; preferring to keep her eyes on the ground below her. She's a little awkward on her feet and it shows it the tiny scars that are spread about her body. Each one comes with its very own story and if you ask nicely enough, maybe just maybe she'll tell you one. Other than that theres no way of knowing how shapely, scarred, and lovely her legs are. The skirts that she often wears range in colors that are meant to bring out every hue that makes her who she is. They often sweep the ground only giving short glances of the flats she wears underneath. Her upper body is that of an acrobat: lean, agile, and yet noticeably feminine. She has curves and the Goddess has blessed her with a very well balanced figure. Though she never shows much skin except for her always bare shoulders. Like her skirts, her tops are usually long sleeved no matter the weather. Often she makes them from breathable material so she's not too bothered by the sun. Her hair falls past her waist in thick romance curls. She keeps them tied up onto her head in a half bun while splitting the rest into two braids that she often plays with. If you're lucky to catch her out at night, you'll notice that the only time she ever lets her hair down is when the moon is clearly visible and the night air is cool against the skin.

ω ε a p o n :: Like most of those who lead the life of a healer, Violet has a set of scrolls and her own book of personal spells. She also carries with her a rod that she holds belted at her side.

Then, maybe, below the bile and bitterness, I'll reach the core of you and ring it as bright as childhood.

r ε l a т i o n s h i p . s т a т υ s :: As unbelievable as it may seem, I am indeed a widower. My husband Usna was one of the many soldiers killed during this war. He was called to service the day after we'd returned from celebrating our three year anniversary. Every day after he'd gone into the battlefield I would wait for news of his well being. At first he would write me letters as often as he could telling me of the things he'd seen. His letters told of how terribly those soldiers died fighting for their country. Often when I lay in bed at night, I can picture their families grieving the loss of a daughter or son. I'd pray to the Earth itself that Usna would return to me. But soon his letters stopped coming. My heart grew heavy with fear that he wouldn't return. And on the third week after his letters had ceased I heard a knock on the door. Happily I ran towards the front door expecting that it be Rosengale, the mail woman. It wasn't she whom I met at the door... Two soldiers stood before me with my husbands uniform folded neatly in their hands. But it wasn't the uniform that had gotten to me. It was the necklace that I'd given him, just a few months before on our anniversary strewn across the top of it all. With both the uniform and the necklace held tightly against my chest, I collapsed to the floor and cried; breathing in the scent of him.

p ε r s o n a l i т y :: If there was simply one word to describe Una it would be understanding. She has learned that everything happens for a reason and prefers to see things from both sides before she makes a judgment for or against someone. Her friends come from all walks of life. Thieves, murderers, priests, doctors, school teachers, outcasts, etc. She accepts people for who they are and believes that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. All she asks is that no one treat her lack of sight as a disability. She just wants to be treated as normally as anyone else. People often describe her as a sweet girl who is always willing to help. She likes to surround herself with interesting people and gets along far better with men than women. Simply because she finds women more intimidating. But even though Una seems very much content with the life she lives now she still wishes to regain her vision someday. Those same men who befriend her often take advantage of her. As much as she hates to admit it, Una does indeed need some looking after. She'll never admit it out loud though because she feels as if saying it would be like betraying herself. Insecurity: learn it, know it, feel it every time you walk past her. She cries when she feels threatened and often stares off into space as if she, like a newborn, can see angels floating about in the air before her. She's also like a cat: Curious, mysterious, and constantly touching things. Her hands move at their own accord. She likes to touch people when she needs comfort and also when she wants to get a better idea of their character. You can learn a lot just from holding someones hand or touching their face if you know what you're looking for.

h i s т o r y :: Una's family is a great mix of cultures. Her father was a pure blooded Wisterian who made his living as a traveling merchant. His constant moves brought him to the city of Lue'er in Kes'sarria and that is how he wound up meeting Azure, Una's mother. She was practicing a performance with the rest of her troupe for Azure was an acrobat and dancer. Una's father bumped into her when he walked past while she was attempting to plié. Azure then proceeded to slip and since Omid, Una's father, was so close he caught her just before she hit the ground. Turning her in his arms so that he could see her face, Omid was taken aback by her beautiful lilac eyes. They were frozen like that for a few moments and then Azure pushed away from Omid, calling him a pervert for staring at her that way. She slapped him and rushed off towards her friends. It wasn't love at first sight for Azure. But after having Omid attempt at courting her for so long, she finally gave in. That was the beginning of their romance and several years later, Una was born.

She had her fathers shining hair but everything else was of her mother's lineage. From the paleness of her skin to the shape of her lips. But it seemed that genetics couldn't quite figure out what color to make her eyes. In the end, she wound up with her mother's deep lilac and her fathers blue and gold in specs. Her eyes look as if a wild flower was blooming within them. But sometimes beauty has its back draws. With her eyes swimming with their tricolor, Una only had her sight for a nine years before she began to lose her sight. By the time she was eleven years old, Una was completely blind. But with the loss of her sight her senses enhanced in other ways. Her father often let her sit with him while he studied his scrolls. One day while Omid was mixing up another one of his potions for a neighbor he thought it would be a good idea to show Una a few tricks of the trade. What he hadn't realized was the fact that Una herself was gifted in the art of healing. Without him even asking, Una had passed him an herb that he'd been missing. That was the day that he decided to teach her even more about healing. He taught her to use her sense of smell to recognize certain herbs and use her hands to feel the writing on each of her scrolls. Ever since she'd lost her sight, Una felt inadequate and a burden to her family. But once she found her true calling in healing she was so proud of herself. She felt that she could finally do something other than be treated like she was completely disabled.

By the time Una was around the age of seventeen, her parents decided that it was time they moved on. Her father's merchandise wasn't selling as well in Wistera as it was in Kes'sarria. So her family packed up and moved to her fathers native city. He started a small corner store where he sold everything from bath soap to hair growth treatment and finally business started to pick up. Una worked there for quite some time simply cleaning and running errands until her father introduced her to Usna. They were so different in personalities and yet so much alike. They complimented each other on so many levels. Usna has been known to be a man of great aggression and with Una being so calm and fragile at heart he had to learn to become a softer man if he wanted to keep her at his side. But just as Una had taught him to be more gentle, he had taught her to be a little more assertive so that she wouldn't be taken advantage of so easily. It was only a matter of time before the two were married. And it was three years later that Usna was killed in the line of battle. Secretly, Una blames herself for not being strong enough to go with him and help. She believes that if she was there he would still be alive. Now that he's gone Una has had to relearn to live on her own. But as her father always told her as a child: "Strong people are not simply born. They earn their strength through difficult experience." Una is definitely one hell of a strong woman.
