Dwelling: Lives in and maintains his adoptive parents library at the tip of the southeast side canyon. The overall size of Library is huge, but it contains many empty shelves. This excess room is for Sasurei to fill over his lifetime. However, given his passion for reading, and the love for old architecture newer rooms have been carved out with many ornate desgins and reliefs. The lighting for the rooms during the day comes from skylights cut into the ceilings, and during the night oil lamps in pewter fixtures along the wall and on the tables provide light.
The rubble from his work was taken down to the bottom of the canyon and many small fishing piers constructed. larger pieces given away be used in construction of other painters homes.
Personality: Sasurei is well minded and keeps to himself most of the time. He's friendly and outgoing with other painters. He has a temper, which gives him a stubbron streak when angry, and doesn't stand for any abusive behavior to females or children. He dreams of adventure and fame like in the books he reads both fictional and non-fictional. What always stops him is the library, without him there to care for it, what brings him happiness will fall into disrepair, or be stolen by vandals. Is very protective of his home, and diligent in its cleanliness. He gets along with the nature around him, and often transplants plants that are in the way or unsightly rather then destory them. He believes things deserve a second chance after what he was given. Sasurei loved the realtionship his mother and father had, but as he finds out when he tries to find a mate that it's not that easy.
History: Sasurei's real parents left him at the library when he was real young. His adoptive parents found him sleeping and they tried to search for his parents, but eventually gave up taking Sasurei in as their own. Sasurei grew up loving books, his parents would take turns reading to him every night, and when he got old enough he began to read on his own. The variety of books ranged many different languages and Sasurei had to learn the language in order to read them. His parents captialized on this drive by centering it in his education. He would read about the subject, and would be given a task to complete. They wanted more for him then what they had, and hoped he would take the knowledge he gained and apply it abroad. To their disappointment he choose to take over the library, but their disappointment soon faded as Sasurei's drive to finish the dream their parents had came true.
The last thing his parents gave him was a few empty shelves. The unfinish rough expansion was his to finish in his own way. It was half finished when his father died, and Sasurei did his best to comfort his mother. The months that followed the steady decline of his mother's health prevented him from doing anything but caring for her. When she passed away Sasurei finished the expansion with a carved mural, his mother and father together with him, reading to him as they used to, and in a space cut further back into the wall two books rested. The journals of his father and mother, with the space for three more. His, and hopefully his family's in time would rest there.
