The moon ans stars was hidden behind thick grey clouds, if it hadn't been for the ocassional lightning burst, it would be to dark to see. Elsha couldn't sleep because of the loud sonic booms of thunder. She decided to go for a walk. The moment she stepped out of the cave, she was soaked by the falling rain.

The pitter patter of the rain was the only thing the Saigh could hear between each thunder burst. she could see about a yard in every direction. She grinned, she loved testing her memory. The brown adult began a relaxed walk forward, she knew if she walked to far in this direction she'd end up in the Dark Forest. The thought sent a shiver down her spine, the forest was dangerous enough on a cloudless day. To go in there on a stormy night would be a fatal mistake. So Elsha turned and began walking parallel with the forest line.

Not far from her, and unaware of the female nearby, a voice hissed low curses beneath its breath. "Stupid thunder . . . scaring off the prey . . ." Borvo loved to hunt at night, but now this storm had confounded him and thrown off his sense of direction. Flashes everyplace, the downpour soaking his thick pelt through, what a miserable mess this was! Yet the wind carried the scent of something beyond the earthy scent of rain. At once he silenced his swearing, crouching against the muddy ground to spy a silhouette in the flash of lighting. Finally, some other poor beast lost in the storm - a large one, at that. Aye, he would make a meal out of this one. At once he sprang out from the dirt, aiming to pin the prey to the ground.

The wind had carried the other Saigh's voice and scent away from her and the darkness masked him from her sight. So Elsha didn't even know he was there until a flash of lighting lit the air, revealing the male, but by then it was to late. The red Saigh landed on her back, the extra weight sent her crashing face first into the ground. "Oof!" She said as the impact with the ground sent all the air out of her body.

The brown Saigh tried to roll her attacker off, while gasping for air, but the male's weight held her down, Elsha closed her eyes and waited for the other adult to finish whata he had started.

Borvo brought his head down for the killing blow, a bite at the creature's neck, before another flash lit up the sparkling jewel on the animal's ear. That charm . . . this was - "A Saighneain?!" He exclaimed, rearing back off of the female in a quick retreat; he had thought it was a rabbit or a fox. Quite suddenly the hunter was thrown off his guard, "Wh-what are you doing here?!" He shouted above a crash of thunder, fur bristling with his surprise and wariness of this hapless specimen. Other Saighneains rarely came this close to the wood.

Elsha looked up in suprise when instead of a death blow, the weight was lifted of her. She quickly scrambled to her paws, turning to look at the male. the wind had died down slightly making the thunder the only thing making it hard to hear the other Saigh, she waited until the thunder finished, for a moment before replying in a raised voice, "I'm... Well, I was going for a walk! Not to mention I live over there!" She nodded in the direction she believed her cave to be. Her eyes glinted with fear and interest of this new Saigh, as she asked, "What about you?!"

So it was a female too if his ears did not deceive him like his eyes had. Or just a male with a high-pitched voice. "Going for a walk? What kind of idiot goes on a walk in this weather?" Borvo scoffed without thinking of the offense his words could cause. A female out in a tempest like this was just asking for trouble. "I'm trying to hunt, but this blasted storm is making it impossible!"

The brown Saigh frowned at his words, then replied in a slightly annoyed voice, "Sure going for a walk in this weather makes no since, but hunting does?!" She shook her head, her frown softening, she couldn't stay angry for long, "Why don't you come back to my den, and wait for the storm to end?" She inquired, "Then go hunting when it's done?" She looked around, "There's no chance of prey in this weather."

"I was hunting before this started!" Borvo snapped back with wounded pride, but her plan actually didn't sound like a bad idea. He could dry himself off now and head back home after the storm had passed. Only a suicidal animal would traipse around in this racket. "Fine, fine . . . Lead the way." The stocky male moved after her, eyes narrowed against the rain and dim sky.

Elsha rolled her eyes, "No need to get offened by something that's almost exactly what you said to me." She told him, before turning and heading back towards the cave she lived in, in a light jog, "This way!" she yelled over her shoulder as a boom of thunder shook the air. Eventually the pair reached Elsha's home, she trotted inside, giving a quick shake to send most of the rain out of her pelt, "Here we are," She said, walking father into the cave, before turning to face the male, "This is my home, and if you got a problem with it, i don't wanna hear it." She gave the other Saigh a grin, to show she was joking, as she sat down on the floor, which was covered in a rug of dead grass, that she had brought in from the plains, to make the rocky cave a bit of a softer floor.

((I changed in to a prp, instead of an orp, I hope that's okay with you))

The male hardly cared what state the cave was in once he was finally inside. A shelter was a shelter, and somewhere safe to dry off was much more preferable to the ungodly thunderstorm outside. As soon as he moved out of the rain, he shook himself off thoroughly, massively thick pelt poofing around him to make him seem twice his size. By the sun and stars did he hate getting wet from the bottom of his heart. Without a look at the female he sprawled onto the rug, disregarding any kind of politeness by using it like a makeshift towel without shame. He didn't know about her, but it took more than a quick little shake to dry him off. As well insulated as his fur could be in the winter, it was a true nuisance in the spring rains.

"Mmm . . . this is nice." He purred more to himself than his hospitable host, fully enjoying the luxury of her cave.

[o.o.c: I don't mind. :3]

Elsha cleaned herself as the male rolled on the floor, they each had their own way to get that extra rainwater out of their pelts, and that was okay. "I'd say 'Glad you like it' but as I've said before, I don't really care what you think of it." She replied tartly, the storm made her a bit more moody then usual. After she finished cleaning every last rain drop from her pelt, she looked up at the male, "So, why were you out hunting in the dark?" She asked curiously once a loud bang of thunder finished ringing through the sky outside.

"Mmm?" Borvo blinked, remaining on his back on the soft mat, "Oh, right. I like hunting at night. I sleep in the afternoon, hunt at night, explore in the morning. As soon as it gets too hot, I'm back asleep again." If he noticed her ill-humor, he didn't show it, turning to rest on his side and look at her."Huh. So you are a girl." He'd thought so.

Elsha nodded, "Nice, sounds like you get plenty of sleep, especially during summer." She layed down, watching the male, as she spoke. "I stay up as late as I can and wake up as early as I can. Don't want to miss anything interesting." She gave a small yawn, resting her head on the floor. "Yes, I'm a girl. At least that's what I've been raised to believe." She said jokingly, "And from what I've been taught as a cub, you're a boy. Correct?" She gave the male a wide grin. Just then a loud crash of thunder filled the air, causing the brown Saigh to jump. She let out a small growl, glaring at the enterance, "Stupid thunder!" she muttered.

"Yep, you're definitely a girl. Skittish as ever." The male let out a chuckle as she started at the noises, his mouth pulled into a small smile. "Summer storms are the worst. Not only is it hot, it's humid, and rainy, and-" KA-BOOM! Thunder roared, making him wince with the sheer volume that rang in his ears, "And loud." He finished, snorting at the irony before curling up on the mat.

"I am not skittish!" The brown Saigh replied, denying what Borvo said, "I'm tired an the thunder suprised me!" she got up and walked over to the enterance. "Doesn't look like the strom plans on letting up any time soon." She informed the male, as she turned to face the other Saigh. "Yes though all storms are rainy and loud. Exspecially at night" She layed back down on the floor, "Wish'd it go away." She said, with a yawn, talking mostly to herself.
