If you didn't know already, the Captain of this guild has been banned from Gaia. None of the mods have been seen in ages. It's time that we did something besides make small chat about recipes. Let's rise up above the knitting circle and turn our guild into a living, breathing online metropolis!
I'm not asking you all to help me take leadership of the guild. I don't want to own it or run it anymore than all of us can run it. I'm instead asking to be the facillitator of the guild. To accept new members, update stickied threads, etc. And I don't want to do it all for you, I want to do it all with you. I'm only asking for Captain access because I have experience with it, and know how to perform maintenance already.
If you agree with me, post so here. In order to get it back into functioning again, I'm going to contact AgentNerve, Vampo, and Bulletproof. Then I'm going to make a post in the Captain's guild about our dilemma to get Captain status. Then, once again, Gaian vegetarians, vegans, and freegans will have a place to call home.

Blast, that's not allowed. If we wanted to have our guild back, we'd have to buy a new one. I only have 3k, so I can't really do much for that right now.

Well, new guilds go for 20,000 gold. From what I've seen in the Captain's Guild, used ones go for anywhere from 10k to 15k. To get the Anarchist Guild up and running, I had quested for that (in that case, though, I started the quest on my own and other people came around). http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5136073&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=I've been really busy lately, but if everyone wants me to try questing to get a new Veg*n's guild running, just ask. Alternatively, if any number of people want to start a quest thread for the same goal, go for it!

So this guild has pretty much died? I'm thinking of starting a guild for vegan advocacy, and was looking about to see what's there.
