So, I know everyone's excited that women have STD protection that they can control, such as Female Condoms, but has anyone ever used one? I have, and they're NO fun at all. They slip around and slip inside or fall out, and are really uncomfortable.
I thought perhaps I was using them incorrectly or something.
Anyone else have experiences with them?

lol. My sex ed teacher once told me that they are like the ugly bags they use to hold news papers. hahaha. But your supposed to like, put it on the guy's p***s loosely and insert it in that way. And then let it stick or something. Honestly, I have no clue. Lol.

I had one due to the True Colors conference [REPRESENT WOOT WOOT] giving them out and such, but I tried inserting it once, and it just didn't turn out well, so I didn't dare try it for actual sex. The package says that the girl inserts it herself, but putting the bottom [tip] ring in, and letting that hold it, but even when I tried to use it during masturbation, it didn't go well, even with lube.
Perhaps they've improved since I've tried it though. If TC gives them out again this year, I'll make sure to take one and put it into practice.
I think they're really a mystery to a lot of people, and they aren't really that widely used. I've never met someone who uses them regularly. *shrug*

They make some pretty funny balloons, especially if you fill them with Shaving cream, but that's about the only use I've ever got out of them. They're sloppy and inneffective, and often don't stay in. Condom technology has got to advance at some point, but it doesn't look like it will be soon.

Well the best thing is to get the right size...for both men and women because if its too big or small it doesn't provide much protection.

You are right with that one, Arella. I dunno if the female condoms come in different sizes.. I'll have to look into that

That is true. Lemme see what I can drag up online
*goes and surfs google*
From what I've seen here, they're sort of primative, but there's a new one out that isn't as large [it said the original is usually like 17cm long, and the new one is like 9 cm long] and the large problems are that it makes noise during sex and can sometimes slip inside the v****a and is not as effective as male condoms or other non barrier methods.

Hmmm they don't look too comfortable in the first place...but I would imagine that they'd detract from the pleasure you get out of sex judging by the way they're made.

Yeah, and if they don't fit right, I'd imagine they'd slide around and you wouldn't feel yay sex, instead you'd be like EW SLIDY NASTY LATEX EWWW. no gasm. ew.

I don't like them, either. The rings hurt and having what looks like the end of a balloon sticking out of you is weird and distracting. They're not form-fitting like male condoms, so there's some bunching up inside going on.
It's so much easier for guys to wear them. And so easy for women to say those four little words: NO GLOVE, NO LOVE.

Hmm...well I can't say I've ever used a female condom...mostly because I decided to not use something that looked like a tube from a sci-fi movie...and I don't think they would do much good when having sex with females.

When my gf and I were involved in a threesome recently, we tried to use on that our partner had on her, but it was just messy and awkward so we used the male condoms on the toys instead
