This was something I once dedicated to a good friend of mine. I don't expect criticism or whatever, it just brings memories. We compared our life to the NANA manga a lot, as our life was sort of an allusion to it. ^_^
You know it wasn't a good idea.
But you don't mind that.
You're more dignified than that.
But you do this behind my back
So I don't know your flaws.
Or how weak you are.
He was your Takumi, your release.
You just wanted to let go.
You'd know I'd kill you if I knew.
And I know.
And though I'm utterly stunned, and frightfully angry…
I'm not going to kill you.
He will stay.
With all my heart, I hope
he'll stay for you if anything goes wrong.
But this is him we're talking about.
Why should I worry?
"What makes you think it'll last that long?"
You wouldn't show me things, tell me things---all because you were afraid of my opinion.
You didn't look up to me that much, did you?
You wanted to impress me.
You tried to act so independent...and you kept tripping and falling.
Haha, and in the end…
"Your favorite things have never changed."
Why is it that our lives always seemed to follow that story?
Tell me, what happened to her?
"It'll only look good in a set…"
Funny how we have our Junko, our Nana, our Hachi, our Misaki, our Takumi, even our own ******** Blast, probably even our Trapnest---but not our Ren.
Ren's not here. And I don't think he'll be for a while.
But you've got him, and that's all that matters.
"I never knew how much you hurt."
You were always Hachi, in spite of the fact that you made me carry your shame. I always knew you were. From your attitude to your guy craze to what's just happened---her fate has manifested within you.
You just wanted love. You wanted to be happy.
I don't know exactly how this helped, but you didn't want to be lonely anymore. I could see that.
"I swear if Nana were a guy, she'd be the love of my life. That's what I thought back then…but then I wouldn't have experienced such happy times and memories.
" Love and pain are inseparable. It's more painful the more you drown in it."
In retrospect, unknowingly…
"Nana, please…sing for me one more time."
I had always been your seven.
