Host In the modern world, there are beings that live amoung us who we think of to be as normal and as Human as the rest of us. These beings act and look like every other person you'd see walking down the highway, walking home, or walking by your side in the school hallway. Yet no one knows of their existance, other than their partner.
These beings, are called Hosts and Shadows. Hosts and Shadows posses supernatural powers that Humans only dream of having in the palm of their hands; yet one of the people closest to them could have the same power everyone dreams of.
Now, these Hosts and Shadows are begining to overpopulate themselves, and many battles for territory are breaking out all over the globe. The damage done appears to be local accidents, and stories are spread that explain everything, although it is never true. The Hosts and Shadows are fighting all over the place, causing damage, reaking havoc, and even murdering innocent Humans in the process.
What will you do as a Host or Shadow? Fight for your territory, or fight to keep the peace? 影

Host RULES

o2. Please be literate. I know this is a 'quality role players' guild, but you never know!

o4. Respect the people in this thread, both as users and as RPC's.
o5. Post the character profiles here. All additional info on profiles will be in the corrosponding post.
o6. You have to play as both your Host and Shadow, that way we dont end up with uneven pairs. 影

Host HOST AND SHADOW INFORMATIONHostsHosts do not have a special power like Shadows do, but they can manipulate words to their use. Kind of like how a Human would use words to form a poem using symbols from things like nature. So, sort of like poetry but taken to the next few levels and making what they say become real. This only works in the battlefield, and cannot be used on Humans. It can only be used on other Hosts. ShadowsShadows cannot manipulate words, but they posses a power that both Humans and Hosts wish to have. Each Shadow has an element unique to themselves, that no other Shadow has. Yet another casualty occured in Tox and Xiot's home town, and this time, they were the cause of it. A battle for territory of the small town had been established only an hour ago, the residents of the town winning in the end. The opposing pair of Hosts and Shadows...well, they were the ones who had fallen victim to the wrath of Tox and Xiot, the town's seemingly permanent owners of territory in the world of Host and Shadow.
But the pair had never killed anyone before, so this battle had been nothing but unnerving for the both of them. They decided to run- hand in hand, side by side- deep into the night and into the forest that all but surrounded the town. It was the only way they could think of getting away from everybody fast and effectively enough so that no one knew what might have happened. They would let the police decide what the news around town was going to be for the next couple of days.

The pair stopped deep in the woods, trying to catch their breath. Xiot collapsed to the ground in exaustion, panting. Tox, being the Shadow of the pair, was aleady back to full strength. She looked around the small clearing they had happened to stop in, trying to decipher the sounds of animals from any sound of a potential Human or pair of Hosts and Shadows that may be coming for them.
"Xiot," Tox said tonelessly to her partner.
"What?"
"Where do you suppose we are? I cant sense a Human or another pair at all."
"Hmmm..." Xiot stood up and looked around, putting her finger to her lower lip. She shrugged. "I dunno." Tox sighed and walked to the southern end of the clearing.
"C'mon, the nearest part of town is this way." With that, Tox and Xiot were on their way out of the darkness of the forest.

Lunamarie paced the greenroom, slippered feet shuffling along the carpet, "I wonder how it happened. I never knew about any battles going on recently."
Jet licked his lips, "Start paying attention. How am I supposed to protect you when you don't even know what I'm protecting you against?"
"Don't mock me, Jet!" Despite his rude demeanor, Jet was right. Lunamarie had never been in a fight before; Jet had always protected her from getting her hands dirty.
The enigmatic man stared at his Host. The long, serious look made its point. In the silence, they could hear the screaming fans, desperate for another performance.
A grave expression still on his face, Jet rose up from the couch he had been lounging on, "Well? Ready to go back to the hotel, my little diva?"
Like an angry child, she nodded her head curtly.
As he reached out to take her hand, his face flinched, his devious smile turning into a shocked wince, and his outstretched hand clenched into a fist. A gunshot would have been more subtle than his shifting expression. At least to Lunamarie.
"What? What is it?" Lunamarie ran her hands over her face, "Is there something on my face?"
"No. There is another pair coming closer."

"Are we there yet?" Xiot complained to her Shadow. Tox ignored her question for the seventh time and continued to walk without so much as a flinch. The pair had been walking for only around fifteen to twenty minutes, and Xiot had been complaining the whole way.
Tox flinched as she took another step, and stopped for no more than a fraction of a second, sensing another pair. Xiot wouldnt have felt it just yet, they werent close enough for her to feel.
"Ah! Finally!" Xiot exclaimed as the pair broke through the forest and into a new section of town.
"Xiot," Tox said over her shoulder.
"Hm?"
"Dont let your guard down. This place isnt our territory. Get it?" She said seriously with a cold edge to her voice. Xiot figured out what her Shadow meant and nodded.

A single hanging light lit the tiled room. Darkness covered the corners and most of the walls. A young girl sat alone in a chair that happened to be the only furniture visible. She felt like she was being watched, which wasn't a great surprise considering she was tied together in a straight jacket. The sound of her breath was the only thing heard throughout the room.
"Why did i get myself into this mess," she whispered to herself, "I knew I shouldn't have trusted him."
The one door to the room opened and another figure walked slowly inside. "Nice to see you again, Leah, long time no see," the figure laughed as it spoke, a slight deepness in its voice led her to believe that it was a man.
"Is that you Richter?" She tried her best to hide the mixed reaction she was feeling. After all, it may not be a good thing that he was here.
"Yes it is," he said stepping into the light. "I see they've got you tied up rather nicely."
She was instantly angry, her face contorted into an otherwise unnoticable wicked frame, "What do you mean they? You're the one who put me in here, this terrible place. I am your partner, your shadow, how could you do this to me?"
"Just a matter of tact my dear. You see, I can't trust a master of deception like yourself, so i decided I'd keep you under my control a bit. We've just got word of the pair that escaped, apparently they are headed this way. You ready to confront them?"
"Why the heck would I help you?"
"Because I control you!" His voice was harsh and rang out through the silence. Those simple words caused her body to quake and suffer horrible convulsions.
"We're supposed to be helping each other, not the opposite," her eyes were changing colors and stroked with tears. A thought just hit her slowly, "You may not uphold your end of the deal, but I will uphold mine. I'll help you."
"Good," said Richter slyly as he forced her out of her chair. "When the time comes, I will remove your bindings." The pair left the room, which once again rang with silence.
