I wrote a paper with that title once, I thought it was fitting to use this as a title once again

Every single person in the world has experienced some sort of predjudice in their lives at some point, whether it be race, gender, sexuality, religion, height, weight, relationship orientation, etc. What if the world was blind to differences, and happy with the choices and states of those around them? What would that world be?

*---What things would you like to be able to do in public without criticization?
*---Tell a story about predjudice that happened to you firsthand?
*---What would be your Utopia?
*---Rants:What aggravates you about people's predjudices-specific or general?
*---random:whatever comes to your mind when you read or think about this thread/topic

Honestly, I can't say I would know. I myself am a bit of a hypocrite in the sense that I criticize just about everything. Whether it be out of my own insecurities that I am overcoming. Or just because I joke around alot. I may be a crossdresser. But I still make fun of it a bit. So its a little bit of a touch question for me to answer. But if I could, I would say no more criticisms about sexes. I can work with inequalities of races, religions, and whatever. But the ones between men and women are the kind that are nearly impossible to avoid. Because one party claims they are the birth givers and work hard to make the families. While the other works hard to make the payments for the things given to the family. Or so the old fashioned tradition goes. But I just think that everything needs to be equal on the basis of genders. X_x

Also, for those who don't already know. I'm a bad person. Lol. Avoid me if you can. Haha. I may think things through to a new critical level that is borderline scary, but that just means I am thinking both on the positive and negative spectrum. haha.

I would say that I'd love to be able to go out anywhere with all of my partners, and be affectionate and partnery and not be judged for it, or be able to go to a pagan festival without the born agains trying to throw holy water at us [no really--true story]

I think nudity should be legal. But that's just me.
Clothes are for suckers

I would like to be able to marry Stacey on a public beach nearby like she wants, without having to worry about whether or not people will show up to disrupt the wedding, and make what should be a really wonderful, happy day uncomfortable and scarring.

I want a world where no child goes hungry, no body dies for what they say, noone has to live without shelter...where we all can love who we choose and worship who we please...a place where noone is judged based on race but judged by the actions of their heart.

xD.

Aaannywayys. I'm not out at work or to my family. I'd love to be able to have either of my boys (or girls when I had them) come pick me up from work, or do something romantic. I remember Dan wanted to leave flowers on my car once, and he did, but he said he was worried that it would out me, and was worried all day. I work for masonicare, aka the Masons, and the place is very judgemental and my coworkers aren't any better, so yeah.
That's my wish

the story about prejudice that i have actually contains my mother and it's not even direct prejudice. i remember my mother crying because the church she loves will never accept her. shes Methodist (i'm methodistish. i have views that contradict Christianity as well as christian beliefs. i'm more a mix of everything. i believe what feels right to me. but anyway off topic.) and the Methodist church still has in its doctrine that homosexuality is wrong. i don't remember the direct quote though. there was actually a talk about a scism in the church a couple of years ago because the church contains some very big right wingers and some very big liberals as well. it seems almost one or the other. another thing, still has to do with the church is that there where two bills up for consideration during General Conference. one to keep the doctrine the same and one to change it. only one could be voted on. the rightwingers where able to get their bill voted on first even though it had less support. they came very close to breaking the rules. it was horrible.

my Utopia would be a small group of people with communal wealth and all would be pansexual and polyamorus(is that how you spell it?). kinda like the Oneida society. they where a free love society in the middle of upstate new york. they survived for a couple decades in the 1800s.
unfortunately there will never be a Utopia because people are biologically different so jealousy and prejudice will always be around but i think the Oneidas got the closest.

The Oneidas were actually REALLY interesting. If you'd like to start a thread about them, you're more than welcome. *nods*

I understand what you mean though Arella. People are naturally full of fear of things they don't understand, jealousy over what they can't have or what they do have, because they fear it will be taken away from them. We were raised to believe that love and affection are limited, and depend upon things, instead of it just being an everyday occurance without limits. I would love to live in a world where love was treated as infinite and not like an operational conditioning expiriment. IE: I give her flowers, and she will love me//I give him my virginity, and he will love me. etc.
