Before we start, do NOT post your mobile numbers in here. If you want to share your numbers with certain people, do it through a PM or on MSN. Everyone who has a computer has the ability to see this guild and anything you post, so don't post your number for the world to see. smile

But anyway, what sort of phone do you have? What provider are you with? Are you on a plan or a cap or prepaid?

I'm with 3. I pay $29 a month and I can use up to $130 of credit. for that $29. Works out good for me because I usually use around $70 or $80. The thing I like about that plan is I can make overseas calls (and they're still cheap) and it comes off that $130. I've never managed to go over my limit.

I have a 2 year old Nokia slide phone, soon to be updated when my contract finishes and I get a new phone. My phone comes free with the $29 cap too.

I'm on a $49 plan with optus. I get something like $200 of call credit (I think). Generally I just go under. The only real good thing is that I can call other optus phones from 8 to 12 for free. That's good for me, 'cos all the people closest to me are on optus.

I have a nokia 6500 classic. It's pretty good, but I've been drooling over the nokia E71 (wifi and qwerty keyboard).

3 has that too. I can call any 3 mobile for free any time of the day. I think there is a limit to that too, something like $150. Only one of my mates is on 3 though and I work with him so the only time I ever have to call him is if we're catching up on a weekend.

I think most providers have something similar to it. So I guess it just depends how much people you know on each network, and how rural you are.

I have the Hiptop with Telstra. $60 a month for all the texting I want! And net service, and email...the calls are bloody expensive though!

Geez, you must text a bit. I send quite a few and I still don't get anywhere near my $130 allowance.

What ended up happening to Soul? I never hear about them anymore. Did they go broke or something?

That's also an advantage with cap plans!

Got yourself a new phone yet?

You got yours before I got mine. My plan is ALMOST over, then I can get that phone I want.

Which type of phone did you get?
