Ariving from the west a man dressed in white and blue aproches the river.
"My what a Beautiful river. " Said Karas the sword sage. Viewing the rushing watter filled him with peace and remined him why he loves the world so much. Turning to his newfound friend Garj.

"So Garj do you know anything about this river. Anything to be wary of? Good sights?"

As they were standing there looking out at the river a rider came thundering up the road. He wore dark blue beneath his armor, signifying that he was from the Imperial Province of Middenland.

"Though I understand your claims sage, I don't believe we can fool too many with that gag. My people are stuff of legend, especially in this part. No Slann has traveled this far outside of our home in an Age. Yet, the humans still know of us I fear. They love to tinker with magics and would detect your mistrust. We two can be strong, but we are not invincible. My suggestion is a simple one. We be less polite." Garj could hear the hoofs getting closer. He had to think quick. "Shove me into the river. Use magic. Make it violent. Hurry." Garj snarled loudly at Karas, throwing off his wool cloak onto the dirt path. The lizardman raised his brutish claw as if to strike the mage.

((Theres already a lot going on in the south. How about we head east and 'attempt' to head south, but get held up somehow.))

The rider, stunned by seeing this event unfold slowed down to a trot and road up to Karas. He looked distressed, and very busy, but he still managed to ask, "are you alright traveler?"

(That's alright, I understand. And thanks, I wanted to change my avi, but couldn't think what.... so I went with this, I have done it before too.)

At Karas' question the soldier took on a somber expression. "I am riding from town to town to spread the news.... the Holy Emperor is dead. He died in his sleep last night, bless his name." The soldier bowed his head as he spoke.

"Yes, and I shall be on my way. May Sigmar watch over you." The rider then started off again, quickly disappearing down the road.

Garj landed in the water with a loud slap. The first thing he noticed was how deathly cold the blue, river water was. For a normal lizardman, this would have killed him instantly. But Garj's mastery of alchemy saved him that fate. He latched onto the river floor and watched everything unfold infront of him. The current wasn't strong enough to take him anywhere, thankfully. Still, he did have the flex his muscled to stay planted. As a Slaan, he could keep his breathe held quiet a bit longer then most races.

He could barely see the exchange between the two human and would have no chance of hearing either of them. Yet, the only thing Garj was waiting for was any sign of a threatening gesture. An unsheathed weapon, quick movement, a spell, anything. If they spoke for too long, however, Garj would have to intervene. The Slann could only hold his breath for so long. After that, he would have to come to the surface and kill the man. The man, however, spoke with his companion and short moment before heading off. Garj was suddenly struck by the cold again. Not even the potion was strong enough to ward it away forever. It bit as his bones and made his shiver. He saw Karas come near the shore, as if to signal that the coast was clear. He checked to make sure the stranger was gone before he rushed to the surface.

He came up to the beach and gasped for air, climbing across the snow and onto the path, shivering. Much of the water slipped off his thick, smooth scales, but not all of it. He didn't speak at first, only mindlessly approached the area where he through his cloak. He through the garment over his head and wrapped himself in it. "So" Garj said finally. "What was that all about?"
