The Great OceanDominant Race(s): None Places of Significance: Allegiance: Neutral Population Size: Services: Merchants Overview: This ocean serves as a major highway for trade between the various nations of the world. But it is not always safe, from the north come the Dark Elves looking for people to capture and to bring home for endless torture. Pirates raid merchant vessels in unprotected waters. And of course there are great and terrible monsters lurking beneath the waves. Map Location/Picture:

Gladir's ship, the silver arrow, was a 3 masted schooner and as all Elvish ships was quite fast. When he showed them to their rooms, one that they all had to share, he told them that the journey would only take a couple days if the weather was good. In contrast an Imperial ship could take 2 weeks for the same trip. "You can go anywhere on the ship except crew quarters, unless you have their permission of course. Meals are served at 7, noon, and 7."

"Looks like Rae is only getting two meals a day." He teased. He had a little trouble with getting on the ship but once he named off his ansestory of the high elves knwoing looks had crossed thier face. It didn't seem to bother Ikzer that much on the outside but it did. He was tired of always being looked at as something he wasn't.
Raetherstria sighed,"Uggg.... getting up early should be a sin anyways. I like the night better anyways I can see so much clearer."
Ikzer chuckled,"So can I but I still can get up at a decent hour as well."
Rae smiled at the teasing but looked at Valen,"I feel bad that you have to be stuck in here with us all. You might go nuts."
"I might be able to keep your sanity if I can keep mine. Remember I have to read thier minds while you only have to hear what they say out loud...." Nvira chuckled. "What do you plan on eating while here though? Will you be okay?"

I will be fine while on the ship. I can go a month without eating if necessary. The true problem will be when we reach Ellyrion. There are no Order safe houses there and being an island it will be hard to find a secluded hunting ground. "I am sure I will survive somehow. But for now I am going to stay on deck. I have never been on the sea before."
The sight of the ocean and the rolling waves was beautiful. The weather was perfect and the skies were mostly clear except for a few clouds here and there. Valen could feel the warmth of the sun through his cloak and longed to feel it against his skin without getting burned, but that was something that would never happen.

Rae decided to join Valen but didn't follow him she stayed further away and let the wind hit her. She wasn't ugly and the ship saw that. She had an enchanted look to her just like elves kinda did. Her hair sparkled like her scales would and she kinda glew with charisma that an elf did. The only thing she lacked was pointed ears. At least on this boat there were no humans to take advantage of her the elves tend to be able to control themselves very well.
Nvira looked through Valen's eyes. "So you like the ocean? I do too. This is about the fifth time I've seen it." She sighed at the prettiness of it. "Hunting might not be that hard they have cattle I am sure and you can feed without killing yes?"
Ikzer stayed mostly in the room that night not wanting to attract too much attention or hate on such a small boat.

I am sure they will have cattle and other livestock, but even if I am able to feed unnoticed they will become suspicious of their livestock being drained of blood. Elvish vampires are more rare because the gift of power and immortality are undesired by them. If I feed without killing the prey I will have to feed more often, which will draw only more attention. And also some blood is sweeter than others. Elves for example are more palatable than Humans, but it also sometimes just depends on the person..... But the more... appetizing the blood the harder it is to stop, even for me... Valen remembered back to Daphne, and although he was barely aware of her taste at the time he had not found someone more delicious since, and that thought horrified him.

Nvira seem to understand,"Yes I do know diffrent bloods taste better.... How about you suppose to ask Rae for a feeding? She is a dragon after all in her large form you cannot drain her. Offer her something of value and she will most likely not refuse...ah but at the moment she wants me. But I am sure you can come up with something."

No! That thought scared him greatly. He had never tasted a dragon before, but he had heard that their taste was as exquisite as that of Elves, if not better. No, I cannot ask that, I will figure out a different solution when the time comes.

Nvira seem to not care. "If you feel that way then." The thoguht was there though and that had to be enough for now. She knew he would get hungry and start thinking about it more and more.
Rae soon went into the room to sleep leaving the crew that had been looking at her to get back to work. She found Ikzer playing with Pyg as the little monkey jumped aorund the room. Landing in her hair and playing iwht it once she got in. Chuckling she grabbed Pyg up and threw him into the air gently as it caught hold of a rafter and played up there. "Why don't you get some fresh air Ikzer?"
"I think I will when it gets a little darker. Don't want to attract too much attention."
"Is it the whole dark elf thing? I dont get it I mean yeah I know the other dark elves were bad but...your not can't people see that?"
"I wish they could but thats coming from someone who can cover what they truly are and not have to face what I do..."
Rae seemed angered for a moment then sighed,"I suppose your right..."

Lunch had been served a short while after they started out to see, and then dinner was served at 7, just as the captain said it would be. Valen ate some as well, to not be rude and to not draw attention. It was quite good, and was actually meat. The sailors had caught fish earlier that day. Lunch had just been fruit and bread, and Valen had a feeling it would be the same for breakfast and lunch tomorrow as well.

Rae seemed to have a larger then normal appetite even for her dragon self. She was of course going through another growing stage, like all dragons did all the time. Although it was awkward in her human form she still needed to eat alot even in her petite form. She ended up finishing most of Valen's food as well since he didn't eat much which Rae knew why.

The trip to Ellyrion was rather uneventful, but it was very relaxing nonetheless. After 6 days they finally saw on the western horizon Ellyrion, the beautiful kingdom of the Elves. This morning all of Ellyrion was wrapped in a layer of mist which glowed in the early morning light like a lush moon. Suffice it to say it was a beautiful sight.
(Ok, I am really look forward to meeting up with Karas, sooo Exit to Culhaven)

Nvira sighed,"I don't think we should quite pursue something so unknown. I don't like it. This might play in Karas's plan to get rid of you to get to me."
Raetherstria had heeded Kara's warning with little constalation not much could get to a dragon magic wise. She was a great mighty dragon was she not? Of course that lady with teh crystal skin always shined because she liked to stay clean. Raetherstria wished she shined like that. She spent most of the day brushing her hair in the mirror. It was like grooming her scales almsot and if she found the room she would change and do so. That would be her next thing to make herself look nice and shiny.
Ikzer had mixed emotions about the boat and he felt pulls to diffrent emotions he didn't like and so thus didn't fall into them. He watched Rae a bit worried but any time you tried to talk to her she would just ignore the person. He decided not to worry too much at the moment. "Karas?" He interrupted his reading. "Should I be worried about Rae?"

I thought you said he no longer desired you? And even if he does not even the gods themselves could take you away from me.
As for Valen he was feeling the magic of the ship as well. Nvira was already pulling him to become a cold heartless killer completed and obsessively devoted to her and this strange ship was only accelerating that, but Valen kept things in check so as to not be pushed over the edge.
***
High in the skies above Dais sat among the clouds and watched the ship sail further toward the west. Several more portals opened close to him revealing 1st Angels and Demons of the pantheon of great deities. There were those there from Lolth, Sigmar, Feanor, The Lady of the Lake and Helm, the Dwarven, Slann, Dragon, Orc and Ratmen gods, as well as others from unknown gods. "Well, what do your masters say about this?" Dais knew that they already knew where the ship was heading.
The Angel of Feanor answered first, "you know what they all have said, just as yours has said. The end of the world is forbidden to all mortals."
"But Karas is aboard, as well as that cursed crew, whom are not mortals," the Demoness of Lolth said with sneer to the Angel.
"The Lady wishes to protect the fallen knight known as Valen Gray in hopes of his repentance," said the Brettonian Angel.
"Perhaps they can be swayed from their course?" the Slann Demon said.
"And if not? What then?" the Angel of Sigmar asked. His eyes never left Dais, and he looked very angry.
"The cursed crew is of no consequence if they travel to the end and beyond. If their course cannot be swayed however then we need to find a way to take them off of the ship and leave them to their fates," Dais said. He enjoyed watching the Sigmar Angel seethe with anger at being so close to him but being forced to restrain his hand.
"The Lady will not allow this-"
"Ah yes, I know, fine, then we will ensure Valen lives.... the usual place I suppose?" Dais said.
The Brettonian Angel paused with consideration and then nodded with reluctant approval, "yes, that will do."
"Anyone else we want to save?," Dais asked of the Lolth demoness and Dragon angel.
"Lolth has no use of Ikzer, he may be left to his own fate."
"Rae has great potential, but we need not make any special effort to save her. My lord wishes to let her prove herself."
"And then Karas will be fine on his own," Dais finished, "very well, let us begin our work."
Then the angels and demons all left in their own preferred fashions to begin setting the obstacles to end this journey early. One way or another the adventurers would be forced off the ship.
(No one on the ship will be aware of that conversation or be made notified of it. Although Karas might suspect something is going on once a long line of bad luck starts to happen.
Also, if you have ideas for traps go ahead and throw them out there. I was thinking Sirens for sure.... perhaps a whirlpool... and the final one will be a simple perfect storm)
