It hadn't been long since their return to the gargoyle's castle, a week maybe two, perhaps longer; Danzu was unsure at this point. It was difficult to tell time without the constant rituals of his pack to guide him through waking and sleeping hours. Though one thing was certain for the lycan, this place was strange and not quite his own, its walls of stone cold and unwelcoming, and a place Danzu had mostly avoided since their return. Indeed he had stayed close to the castle, but mostly he had spent his hours outside of his protective walls and the creatures that dwelled within. Those of which that would surely not accept him without consequence of doing so either in their own instincts or the wrath of their clan. It was all the same to Danzu though, he didn't rightfully care if they hated him or not, he was here for one reason: the happiness of Zaramai.
And if he, a lycan who would otherwise be killed by his own brother for failure to complete a mission, made her happy than by the departed spirits of his fathers before him be cursed- he was staying. There was something strange about this day though, almost as if a tug to his very soul led him straight up to the castle, leaving his normally cool demeanor excited beyond reason. What was this feeling? His brother, who has had many sons and daughters in his lifetime, had once described a feeling such as this when his mates had been with pup. But this couldn't be right, for to his knowledge gargoyles were birthed from stone. Even his dear Zara, he was sure, must have come to this world through whatever stone miracle gargoyles faced.
Still, he could not deny this feeling as his paws carried him up to the wooden doors; ones that would have previously locked him outside opened at the slightest pressure from his forepaw. Rising to his hindlegs the lycan pricked his ears to gaze at the castle within, before continuing forward, following the tug of excitement as it led him blindly.

Zara purred. She sat next to the stone guardians. She could tell they were hers. She rubbed against one and then the next. She should go find Danzu. Her ears pricked up lightly. No he would come to visit her eventually. She didn't want to leave her children... orbs... pups... kittens... what ever they were they would be beautiful. A giant paw touched her face. Only she wouldn't see them... That was a part of the curse, she couldn't ask him to take it off.
She shook her head. She refused to be sad on this happy happy day. With a simple twist of her magic she was a cat. she laid in front of the orbs that were at the end of the hall. No one would get near them...they were hers.. and danzu's of course. She licked a fore paw. Hopefully he would come by soon... The thought that he had only been in the castle once or twice when he wasnt in a comatose state didnt matter to her. He would come and find her.
She laid her head on her paws and huffed lightly. She was a mother... She would be a good mother too. no doubt about that. And danzu would be a happy and proud father... even if she had to beat it into him... she huffed again and yawned. Why couldnt it be warmer? She curled up closer to the orbs and let off a lightly purr.

He should have known something like this was going to happen, he shouldn't have counted on the vow he had made to his brother on the day he became an adolescent. The vow of 'I promise our family's line shall be carried on by you alone'. And Nakureh had done a good job of that thus far, so what had caused him to break such a vow of honor and trust between brothers? Love? Yes, perhaps it was his love of the gargoyle goddess that had made him disregard his current promise, more so than not. But some uncertain part of him couldn't help but wonder if such a thing was now void all together. Danzu was no longer part of that pack, nor that world it would seem since it seemed the gargoyle's were nearly on their own planet with what he's seen. Their lives were just so different from a lycans. With some thought, the lycan decided that yes, his vow was void and no longer mattered.
As he continued forward through the great hall of the stone fortress Danzu's acute ears picked up the noise brought on by Zara's shifting, and the lycan momentarily stopped to check his surroundings. It would not due to come to some sort of confrontation with either of the large brutes he had seen on their trip back, and yet something else had the fur along his neck rising on end. Something he must protect. But protect from who, and what was it? A flicker of pale and fur, a paw, caught his attention and the scent came to him. Instinctually his hair fell back down and a rather pleased partial-bark came from his throat. There was his Zara, along with something else that tugged him forward.
At first, as Danzu trotted forward the rest of the way, he believed it was Zara that was drawing him near so he didn't hesitate to drop his muzzle and his nudge at her now feline cheek. "There you are, my Love." He was about to continue on with his words when he caught sight of what exactly they were next to. Stone gargoyles? Come to think of it, it wasn't exactly Zara herself that seemed to tug at his being. "What are these?" he asked in a low somewhat curious, somewhat astonished tone of voice.

Zara could hear the movement in the hall. Her fur was puffed out. She would murder whatever came near her babies. But when Danzu got close enough that she could smell him and recognize the scent, her fur fell back down. She let out a soft purr of welcome. She lifted her head lightly. "What are what?" She sat up and frowned. "Oh you mean the guardians? they are protecting our children."
Her tail twitched lightly as she moved toward Danzu. "What do you think?" Her voice was slightly tentative and she walked to sit between the two. Although she didn't think he would harm them she just didn't want him insulting them right to their faces...well... shiny balls... wait no...faces would have to do.
"Do you like them?" She turned her head and rubbed against one of the statues. "They will come out eventually...and they will be beautiful..." she nodded and moved over to brush up against him... While she was being protective now there was a voice in the back of her head talking quickly. She shushed it and purred. "So your a father..." She straightened up..."Weather you like it or not." she nodded to accentuate the end of that statement.

Guardians. He rather liked that choice of word, the stone creatures that would protect their children- wait a moment. Children? Somehow he'd known and yet the words still baffled the lycan into double-taking the stone statues. Would these things turn into their children, or were they trapped within the stone? Truely this sort of thing was unknown to him, and he stayed silent for a little while longer studying the four statues that surrounded them. Come to think of it, these four seemed to be the only one's with colored orbs, the others were just plain galss. He wondered why that was so, but decided to not yet ask about it. That is, if Zara herself knew the answer.
Of course his lover's, his mate's actions did not go unnoticed, almost that of a wary mother with her first batch of pups. Well, then again, this very well might have been Zara's first clutch of... orbs. Guardians? Stones? Though it was his as well. Still her final words caught him off guard and the lycan male pricked his ears at her, amazement shooting onto his features with hte raising of his brows and the hunkering of his shoulders.
"Of course I like them, they're ours." He snorted in amusement at her other assement before dropping down nudge his forehead into her lightly. "Did you know, lycan father's are possibly the most proud beings in all this enchanted land? I am no different my love, I gladly accept these... erm, orbs as my own," he faultered over what to call them, but settled onto the word that had come to mind earlier. "Believe it or not, you're stuck with me now", he chuckled, a bit of a playful growl (which he made sure to sound overly so not wanting to alarm her) echoing into his laughter. Surely he was a proud father.

She twitched her tail a small smile on her face. "Good because i was going to keep them even if you didn't like them." she nodded and licked the top of his head with her rough cat tongue. "Did you know they will be titans... the clan will have to love them... or they will grow to love them."
She turned and smiled at him. "Is that why they are all so aggressive?" She smirked. "Because they are all fathers out there..." With s sly smile she turned and curled back up in front of the orbs."I can think of a couple worse things then being stuck with you....being stuck here alone would be bad... are you going to stay in the castle now... ive been worried about you." She reached out a giant paw to touch his.
"I was so afraid that they may have taken you again... i dont want to lose you...and now that we have children i expect you to do everything in your power to keep yourself from harm..." she laid her head on her paws. "I think you should move to my room promptly after the orbs crack.." She nodded. "And you can eat from what the hunters catch you dont have to hunt by yourself... if you dont feel comfortable with that i could catch your food... and our children's too of course... and..."She was clearly rambling on now.

So many strange terms these gargoyles had for their members. "Titans?" he questioned with some interest, since it apparently would have the clan loving them Danzu figured he really should start to understand what was going on. With a flick of his fluffy tail the lycan settled into gazing between the four stone guardians between them. If someone had told him his offspring would be part gargoyle, and the love of his life happened to be a goddess of the winged race, he'd had put them in their place within the moment it was said. That was months ago though, and despite his situation he was content with what life had brought him.
He chuchkled lightly, turning his attention to the large feline before him. "I suppose so, lycan fathers and sons always try to make each other proud; and if they're from the Sun that means fighting and honor in battle. Of course this applies to our other two clans as well, the Moon which are the healers and our protectors, and the Star who create fantastical works of art and finely created crafts. We do this, so we may sing our song of Decendancy to our young and lace it with great accomplishments of our bloodline." He liked talking about his world with Zara, or at least the world he had come from, so he may share with her the ways of a lycan past that of which one sees on the battlefield.
In turn though, he did like hearing about her feelings, and slowly he nodded at the sentiment of staying within the castle. "I would not feel right if our children faced the clan inside while I hid in the darkness outside the castle. Rest assured, I will not leave them or you to face the mercy of whatever may lie ahead alone. Even if your clan does dislike me, I plan on living my life in the open. Do not worry my love, if anything we shall hunt together." The large wolf shifted to lay beside her, however his ears were pricked and alert, and his head raised as he scanned the area. He didn't mind her rambling, but he would keep a good eye on the situation.

She smiled lightly. "Born of the gods... I am a goddess...you know that right... If i wasnt we wouldnt have children right now..." She didnt want to think about that. "But i love you so they could be normal and it wouldnt be a problem." she nodded and moved closer to him.
Zara sighed. "You can teach them your song." She yawned and leaned against him. "I would love to hear it some time too." She twitched her tail lightly. "They are going to be strong and brave just like their father...." She sighed contentedly. "You know danzu i can out hunt you..."she smiled lightly in half hearted teasing. "So maybe i should hunt for you... it will be safer..." She nodded lightly. Her eyes slid closed beneath the blindfold. "Yes...always stay safe..."
She lied there a moment and then shot to her feet. She twitched her whiskers and turned her face toward the orbs and tipped her head. She stayed like that for a moment and then turned toward danzu. "I want honey covered fish..." she nodded and padded off toward the kitchen.

Normal? So they weren't going to be normal? Obviously he already knew any spawn they would have wouldn't be full blooded lycan or gargoyle, but what else could these 'titans' be? He blinked his orange eyes just slightly as he attempted to wrap his mind around the concept, considering also how Zara herself was when it came to powers. He had already seen her shift between her forms, and could slightly remember some of the other things she did with the trees, but beyond that he wasn't certain. Still that was no reason for concern, these titans would be his children, he'd provide for them and love them no matter the outcome.
With a flick of his ears and a contented breath he nodded his wolf'ish head, his lips pulled back into a relaxed 'grin'. "I shall teach our sons my song, as is tradition. Do not forget though, they will be beautiful and wise like their mother," he murmured, pressing one of his large paws against her own. "Perhaps any daughters we have should learn the ancestory of their mother?" he offered, for that too was lycan tradition. Of course though, he'd be open to anything gargoyle she'd want to teach them, perhaps something of clan matters, since they would be living amongst the Eternal Nights. "Yes, okay, I admit I am not the greatest of hunters." In truth he might even slow her down a bit if he went along.
Her sudden reaction to nothing as she shot to her feet had Danzu partially crouching, his haunches down and his shoulders hunched in a defeansive manner that would easily give him an upper hand against an attack. Of course when he eyed Zara and heard her words he snorted and smirked, nearly breaking off into a darker chuckle. Indeed, lycan aggression must come from proud fathers. "Have fun with that." Really honey covered fish? He honestly didn't know what to expect next.

She huffed and shook herself. "Ill bring you back some..." She smiled and ran through the castle to the kitchen and got what she needed and headed back. She padded slowly up to the four guardians and danzu. She set the fish down and frowned. Now it just didnt sound appetizing. "Here you can have it...ive decided im not hungry..."
She nodded and with and half hearted huff she slid to the floor. "Why cant the girls learn about their father and the boys learn about their mother as well... Their going to need to know." She licked a paw and frowned. She stood and formed lightly into her taur form. She frowned and shifted into her goyal form... pacing up and down the little section of hall. She twitched her ears toward the guardians every once and a while.
"You know...if the girls are smarter then the guys then they should be the ones to know the important tings... but we wont know what happens until they are born and talking... " She frowned worried. "i dont know what to expect...Aeitories orbs cracked open to reveal a mirror and a bunch of rocks... Ghia's were fire and water... the other hasnt opened yet..." She turned her face to seem like she was looking right at him. "What if they all get stuck...or they all come out as bones or something..." She sat and pulled her legs to her chest. "Im worried... They may never come out Danzu... then what happens..."
She could feel the blindfold sticking to her face as it dampened. "I dont want the children to be stuck in there.... " She wiped at the blind fold and only succeeded in getting it wetter. "And if they do come out and are Sticks or ham or something else odd... what are we going to do?" she twitched her ears lightly. "Danzu..."She whined lightly and shifted into her cat form as she started to pace again. She twitched her whiskers and moved toward the fish and picked up the honey lightly walking around with it in her mouth. not eating it but walking around. She whined softly and curled up with the honey bear a bit away from danzu. "Its going to be ok...i take good care of you..." she licked the honey container lightly and whined,

Danzu just had to raise his brows at this sudden turn of events. Now he'd seen many of the females in the pack with pup, and he had surely seen some odd behaviors, but Zara was just so totally incredible it was baffling to the prime-aged lycan. It took some consideration but he decided against sticking religiously to lycan traditions, after all they were only half wolf. "They can hear them both then, its not a problem." And to be honest he was more interested in watching Zara as she shifted and paced, such bizarre behavior must definatly come from the gargoyles. Danzu didn't quite expect this after all.
What was this about rocks, fire, water, and ... a mirror? "Is this common for a gargoyle?" Geez, he knew they were strange coming from stone and all, but to be born as elements and objects he could only imagine how difficult it would be to raise them. And what if they did get stuck in the stone, or they came out as something odd, it would have been something for him to worry about but in all honesty he could not hold back his laughter at such a thought. Imagine, his kids coming out as bones or sticks!
The lycan could merely shake his head at all this 'what if' talk, brushing off her worries as if they were nothing but dust in the wind. "Yes dear, its going to be okay." He ignored the fact she was cradling the honey and padded up to her in a non-threatening manner. "They'll not get stuck in that stone, and we'll take care of them." As he drew closer he shifted to lay his large body, between the sizes of an adult male and adult male warrior gargoyle, directly in front of her and place one of his paws against her blindfold with the intent of actually looking her in the eyes to tell her it would be okay.

White hot fear blazed through her making her jump away. She was panicking. "It wont work...it never works..." She nodded to her self. The blindfold had become part of her while she dreamed about getting rid of it she fretted over ever having to see the world... She didnt want to part with it...even if she could... But then if she did, she would see her danzu and her children... if they were indeed children...
It took a moment for his earlier words to sink in. She calmed down and turned toward him . "Your right...they will be fine...they will be beautiful..." She smiled her fur lied flat once more and she took a deep breath appearing in her sane mind. "I think they will enjoy your history Danzu...and our depressingly romantic tale. "She smiled at the joke.
She thought once more. "Only if they are titans are they born an object...or element...or something not quite living..." She frowned and moved back into her goyal form and crawled over to him "Hold me for a bit?" she smiled and buried her face into his fur.

He had to draw up short, pushing a forepaw against the stone ground to lift his torso, partially raising the paw that had been against the blindfold, and pulling his head back upon a high neck with pricked ears. Strange, strange behavior, even for a gargoyle he realized. He made a mental note to not yet try looking her in the eyes, but that did not mean he wouldn't try it again. He was lycan, they said more with their eyes than with their words most of the time, and he was finding it difficult to communicate his feelings with Zara because of this blindfold. Still, he eased back down, tolerant of this strange behavior he could not wrap his mind around. He was a calm, collected guy for the most part, and only on certain occasions had he really lost his wits; and those had been fantastical circumstances to beging with.
Her words seemed calmed now, but he supposed he should stay at least somewhat guarded from this sort of behavior as it may surface unknowingly again. Still, how could he deny her the request she asked for? Easily Danzu moved to sit upon his haunches, bringing his hind legs out to the side and leaning toward the now goyle Zara, while wrapping an arm about her shoulder. "How's that, Love?"
Nevermind the odd behavior, he supposed if he could get overly excited about the 'orbs' then she could act in strange and bizare ways without much cause for concern. He just had to wait it out was all, and hope they weren't disturbed by any unfriendly faces. Spirts knew he'd defend the lives of his children and his love without a second thought if it came down to it.

Safety. She sighed happily. "Perfect." She turned toward him and let out a soft cat like purr. "Do you want to hear my story Danzu?...To know why i was cursed with this blindfold?" There were limits on what she could tell him... or ask him but she could tell him the story... She curled up closer. Warmed by his heat and the fur.
She nodded lightly toward their orbs. "They will come soon and so all we have to do is pass the time... So ill tell you my story...unless you already dug it up yourself...and then you can tell me all about you..." She twitched her tail lightly. She knew he would listen so she went on.
"Back, way way back. Myself and Aldric were quite happy. We had our parents and we had our power... everything was how it should have been." she paused falling back into the colors of the light and the flowers. "I was young then... a beautiful girl who loved everything and everyone... " she smiled. "A bit different from now...huh?" She shook her head lightly. "But i was playing in the field where the flowers grew in so many colors... and he came.... He was so beautiful... I never even learned his name... but he was beautiful...." she sighed softly.
"I called out to him...to come and play with me..." she smirked. "Not in that sense but to talk with me and be with me so i could look at him for just a little longer."she sighed. "No need to be jealous... i wouldnt have thought of him in a lusty manner... her was too beautifully made to think of like that...almost so delicate with his blue eyes and fair skin and hair... Almost breakable" She frowned. "And then she came...the queen of lust and passion...she blindfolded me with a curse." She touched the blindfold lightly. "She said i wasnt beautiful enough to look at him. She however with her dark beauty could gaze upon him with all right. " Zara smirked. "Every one tried to get it off. and no one could..." She shook her head. "I made the mistake of asking her what i could do to get it off...to be able to see the flowers again in all their glorious colors... "
"she laughed at me. She told me beauty was only skin deep... and that i would be cursed because i was the fact that disproved the rule... She said my eyes showed everything and that only someone who could get past the hisious out side would ever see the inside..." she smiled. "How ugly am i Danzu...Do you flinch everytime you see me?" she knew he didnt but she was finding humor in the story. "So i went out and found my best friend...and he tried...obviously it didnt work..." she shook her head. "Now your story Danzu...Where did you come from...what was your life like as a pup..."

Danzu was as much a lycan as any of his former packmates, and so when his 'mate' spoke of another male she had thought beautiful he had to fight down the barbaric sense that made him want to challenge such an individual. Logic told him the goyal male was long dead, and sense declared that Zara herself had already explained that she hadn't wanted the other in that way. Still, a lycan was a lycan, and their traditions were burried deep into their being. However, despite the rising urge to fight something, Danzu was also a sensible sort. As cunning as they came, and just about as patient as well. These skills allowed him to swallow back any sort of undesireable response, and merely listen attentively. Though he did want to thoroughly give that gargoyle-femme in her story a good shaking, and he scoffed, "I'd imagine I do the opposite of flinching, m'love." At the very least he was more determined than ever to get that blindfold off her.
As for her request for his story... he pondered that slightly. A moment or so passed and the lycan shifted to envelop her with both his arms draped on either side of her neck, meant in a loving, secure manner. "My story? I could tell you my story, if you do not judge me for my bloodline." He paused slightly, before deciding it'd be best to tell all than keep secrets.
"I was born into the Sun clan like my brother and half-siblings, our father a strong but terribly hateful warrior; even to his own pack mates. He desired power you see, more power than the other packs that made up the Sun clan. This was normally frowned upon, but few dared to challenge him due to his violent outbursts, considering he didn't just attack the individual. He went for the family as well. He was a vile, disgusting sort," Danzu spoke, but despite his words he kept his voice melodic and calm. He had made peace with his past and his father, there was no reason to be angry about it now.
"My brother and I grew to become strong and powerful warriors like our father, moreso than our half siblings. Together we joked grimly that it was because our mother seemed to be the only member of the pack with enough backbone to defend herself against our father's outbursts. We both disliked him as much as any son could their father, for not only did he abuse his right as Family head he made the other packs despise us. I often got the brunt of their revenge, but in the end it made me a better fighter. I also grew to accept that as his son, both I and my brother had the right to challenge him; and that no one else was going to do it for us.
"So we devised a plan to put an end to him. I would challenge him first, and if I failed my brother would challenge him. One way or another we were determined to strip him of his power, however I failed at besting him. Luckily, my brother did not, and when he stole the right of family head from my father he declared for the moon and all the spirits to hear 'Nakureh is leader!' For that I had admired him." Speaking his brother's name aloud made him grimace, for he knew together they had caused quite a few problems for the gargoyles. He continued after that, jumping to more recently in his past.
"I suppose our father's blood ran more fluidly in my brother's veins, for he became just as obsessed with power. And... the 'gargoyle infestation' as he put it. Things were strained with us, and I became nothing more but a pawn like all my other packmates; eventually the whole of the sun clan as well. They revere him as a sort of leader I suppose, and now I'm nothing more than his exile brother who brought shame to the clan." Surely they'd kill him next chance they got, but Danzu wasn't planning on giving them that ideal situation. He had a family now, one he was prepared to fight tooth and nail to protect. "I'm sorry if any of that upset you." It wasn't in his nature to sugar-coat anything.
