That's a ton of bull sigi schmid is not going to seattle cuz it doesn't make any sense. They would have to offer him a lot of money for him to actually go, no coach walks out on a team after winning a cup with them. It's stupid and they don't leave unless they get fired.

actually, he is going. apparently when seattle started talking to him, columbus filed tampering charges against them, but the sounders settled it by sending allocation money and cash to the crew.

Sigi was going to go some where else, no matter what, because the contract talks broke down well before the end of the season

I guess when he saw the writing on the wall that he wasn't going to be with the crew, he figured he could start from scratch when an expansion team. It will be a challenge for him

he was actually the one that refused the contract, but now that he's gone, they've named their long-time assistant coach Robert Warzycha head coach

Sigi and the Crew could never really agree on a contract though. Lots of issues and problems.
It will be interesting to see if he can do anything with Seattle

sigi won't have much of a challenge there that's already a good squad that he can make even better a good coach is the only thing they needed and now the only thing that could keep them out of the playoffs is if they don't work well together. expansion teams generally don't do well though so we'll see how it works out.

Seattle looks decent on paper, but the x factor is how they gel as a team.

2000Man Seattle looks decent on paper, but the x factor is how they gel as a team. they look very decent, but when I think about this more I think sigi went to try to get a third team to win the cup. does anyone know the record for coaches that have taken most teams to win the cup.

so far schmid is the only coach to have won more than one cup, but with different teams...so the record is two different teams...MLS hasn't been around long enough for there to be a decent record

I already knew the last part, but I thought two was some tie or something I guess not. In a few months we'll find out if it was a good idea or a bad one to leave.
