Duncan has just spilled his guts to Geoff. Let's see how things are going. (NOTE: If you haven't noticed, I'm just making up where everyone lives. If there is some website or forum that says the characters live somewhere else, I'm sorry. Just bare with me sweatdrop )
"Wow, dude! That sounds intense!" said Geoff when Duncan was finished with his story.
"Yeah, it was." Duncan replied, "You think I'm being stupid about this?"
"No way, dude! Even if your wrong, Your showing that you care about her. Chicks totally dig that."
"Geoff, where are you?" called a familiar female voice.
"Geoff. C'mon, the planes about to leave." called another.
Walking up to the table that Duncan and Geoff were sitting at, Duncan saw Bridgette and Gwen.
"Duncan?!?!" said Gwen surprisingly, "What are you doing here?"
"Yeah," said Bridgette, "I didn't see you on the plane. Do you live here in Chicago?"
"Sure do." said Duncan, "And I'm heading over to Malibu, too. I heard that's where you guys are going."
"Well, that's where we plan to go," said Gwen, "But the plane is going to leave without us if we don't get over to the gate."
Everyone walked, or really ran, to the gate, gave the ticket taker person their tickets, and sat in a group on the plane. The girls sat in a row right behind the boys.
"So, why are you going to Malibu, Duncan?" asked Bridgette.
Duncan Went on, telling the entire story over again to the girls. He was getting a little tired of repeating his story, but at least it gave him pleanty of chances to go over it in his mind.
"Wow, that's really sweet." said Gwen.
"Yeah. yeah, yeah. I'm a 'serious bad boy with an uncharacteristic soft side'. What else is new?" Duncan replied irritated.
The plane took off from the ground at that point, so they stopped their conversation for a moment. Finally, when they were safely up in the air, they continued.
"C'mon, Duncan." said Bridgette, "Don't be like that. Everyone knows that you really like Courtney."
"Yeah. Well, Gwen, why are you and Bridgette going to Malibu?" Duncan said, changing the subject.
"Geoff invited us to the party he's going to." Gwen answered.
"Yeah," said Geoff, "I promised Gwen that I was gonna take her to a party the next time I got a chance. And Bridgette, being my new girl, had to come so she could meet my friends and stuff."
"Well, that's cool."
The four friends continued their conversation, talking about various things like their homes, their experiences, and other things that they were never able to talk about on the island when they were competing.
Finally, the plane landed in Malibu. The exited the plane and prepared to go their separate ways.
"I hope you find Courtney soon." said Gwen.
"Yeah. And it was nice seeing you again." said Bridgette.
"Well, have fun at that party!" said Duncan.
Geoff and the girls started to walk away, when Duncan stopped Geoff and said to him, "So, you sure I'm not just, you know, overreacting?"
"Look, on the island, you were one hard core dude. You were the kind of guy that didn't let anybody get to him. So, the fact that you were willing to travel halfway across the country because of a dream, proves that this is something big."
"Thanks, man." Duncan held out his fist and Geoff bumped it with his.
The Geoff pulled out a piece of paper with some writing on it, "And look, if you get into any trouble, by bro works at the local hospital here. He knows a lot of stuff about this place. Here's the address. Good luck." Geoff turned and ran to catch up with the girls.
Duncan put the address in his pocket, picked up his bags, and walked out the airport doors. It was night time, so he decided to get a room and search for Courtney in the morning.
"TAXI!!!" He called. A taxi cab pulled up to the side of the rode where he was. Duncan put his bags in the trunk of the car and climbed inside.
"The nearest Motel. Don't care Which one it is." He instructed the driver.
"Sure thing." said the driver, "Say, didn't I see you on T.V.?"
"Yeah, big deal! Just drive."
The car started moving. Duncan looked out the window and thought I came here because I thought you were in trouble Courtney, But please, please let me be wrong!
But Duncan isn't wrong. There is a lot of work to be done if Duncan wants to save Courtney. Will he succeed or fail? Only time will tell. Part 10 is next!
