Dear Alexander

I'm sorry that things had to end like this. However, I cannot stand your family any longer. They'e all intolerable stuck up vampires who can't get over the fact this is no longer the 16th century. But, I admit, its not the only reason I'm leaving.

I'm with child. I've just started showing the signs. I couldn't bear the thought of what your family might do if they discovered this. In order to protect our daughter [which I know she will be, I saw it in another of my visions] I have fled. Don't bother trying to look for us. I will love you forever, but I have caused enoguh tensions between you and your family long enough.

Yours truly and eternally,
Lizzy

It had been a quarter of a century since my mother, Elizabeth, ran away from England. I knew vaguely it had been to protect my life, and ensure happiness. She had fled to the New World and settled in New York City. While things had been easier for her, the daughter of a well known werewolf clan, things had been slightly more difficult for me as I grew.

I was a hybrid. A cross between vampire and werewolf. I had pale, ice cold skin, and purplish bruises underneath my eyes like I hadn't slept for weeks. This was attributed to my vampire side. But I was able to walk out into sunlight, and sleep during the night, or day. I had immeasurable strength, thanks to the cobinaiton of both sides of my lineage. And when in hostile or irritated states, I would transform into my werewolf form, and my transformation was not influenced by the moon.

Rarely had a creature of my kind survived very long. Vampires and werewolves have hated each other since the beginning of time it seems. So it was a trial-and-error experiment my mother found, and even the many clans she knew were perplexed to the various problems I faced.

I yearned for blood constantly however. And the wolves resent me for this. I could not go hunting with them, and besides, I looked like a freak, and they stayed away. While i love my mother with all my heart (yes, I had a beating heart, another perplexing enigma) I suffer botus odf depression from not feeling like I belonged anywhere.

And here I was, on top of a tall building in the less known parts of NYC, feeling depressed.

"Why me..." I sighed.
