Moonbrook Forest, one of the most unusual forests in the area mostly because it's always dark, no rays of the sun pass through the forest, only the light of the moon which guides those whom enter the forest. Another reason why it's so special is because of the creatures dwelling in the area. Most are not hostile and very calm.
Many Elves love to pass through the forest often, to pick special plants and herbs, protect creatures or train them and to drink out of the silver waters that run through the whole forest.
Legend says that the silver and clear waters were created by Corellon Larethian himself with the help of Sehanine Moonbow, goddess of the Moon. She cast a spell over the whole forest, making so only pure moonlight passes through and not a single ray of sunlight may pierce the darkness of the forest.
Humans as well as other races believe that if they drink the silver waters, they may gain a small extension to their lifespan like the Elves have been granted from long ago.

Unfortunately for those whom reside within Moonbrook forest, a clan of Orcs and Half-Orcs are in need of food rations, water and materials to ensure their survival. Ten orcs enter the forest, partially blind because of the little bit of light that pierces the thick brush and canopies, but there is enough moonlight to light their way into the darkened forest.
An Orc with cropped, short black hair sniffs the air and surveys his surroundings carefully, "Mmmm... Smell's like Elf... Elf be close by. Go! Search for Elf and their homes! We take their food and precious gold! All of it ours!!" The barbaric giant charged into the forest, his crudely forged axe drawn to chop the annoying bushes that hindered his movement. The other nine orcs followed the leader like the little lemmings they are!
What the Orcs do not know-- like many who come and go-- is that there are clans of Elves dwelling within the deepest parts of the woodlands, hidden from the world within their tree-top homes. They currently are not aware of threats entering their homeland...

Dravel stalked through the brush with his companions, bent on the utter bliss and satisfaction of a good meal with elven blood-wine and riches beyond his dreams. The Glory! He scratched his bald head as he followed at the end of the line. He suddenly had a notion: what if the elves knew they were coming? What if he were to get killed? He stopped a moment, pondering in a mix of fear and wonder. A bunny scurried in front of him, causing him to lose his thought, and he ran off after it, clumsily trying to sneak up on it as he unknowingly became lost in the great forest... He never caught the bunny.

Never again will I run in front of an Orc! Amra cursed her bunny self as she ran into a set of bushes and shifted back. She walked out, slightly breathless, hoisting her great sword onto her right shoulder. Amra was clad in leather, with winged boots coming to her mid-calf. Her ears were tattooed with "Traitor" on them in Elven, and this was the only place where she was accepted. "Why have you come to forsake our forest, Orc?" Her big, brown eyes showed sadness, but also anger. How could they come with destruction in their hearts? Elves would provide them with food, preferably not them themselves... She shook her head, her brown hair moving from side to side. "Do you think your brethren will miss you? Do you think they will come running to your rescue when I make you scream?"

Jixern approached the lake of legend with a dark thought. The vegetation on ground around him began to decay, as his tattered black robes hung loose. He had no worry of anyone interrupting him, his minions were in the darkness behind him and scouting around the Lake. He looked at the clear water with a loathing, as his teeth grinned against each other. Jixern set down his staff and put his hand over the water to check if it had any magical properties that would disturb the his pollution process.

EDIT:
Grom lead his 8 orcs deeper into the forest, stomping toward the sacred river they have heard much about, "Fill your skins with pure water! We gain youth tonight!"
Those whom are closest to the river will surely be able to hear the Orcs drawing near...
((For Allen's Character))
The Necromancer would feel a faint arcane vibration throughout the river... A magical barrier protected the crystal clear waters from ill weather and pollution, but because this barrier has rarely been reinforced, it's fairly weak. Even so...This barrier was created by a great force wielding powerful magic.
Should the Necromancer wish to affect the river, he would need some time to dispel the magical force guarding it.

A cloaked figure sat crouching, next to the lake. This was where the lone drow monk spent most of his time, since he stopped traveling with his now deceased comrades. The tranquility helped comfort his tortured soul. He raised his head as he noticed the stench of rot begin to emit from across the water. He rose smoothly seeing what appeared be a mage. He hailed the man. "What business do you have here?"

Not very far from the encounter, two humanoids-- a female Half-Elf and a male Eladrin were conversing with each other as they strolled around, "You can't possibly sing ten songs in a row without your throat hurting! That's clearly impossible!" said Aeri, pouting at the Eladrin Bard.
Aeri sighed as she shifted the heavy basket of berries, refraining from complaining in front of Amadeus, "Can we stop by the river? I'm a little thirsty..."

Amadeus-- as the Bard claimed to be named-- chuckled at the young Half-Elf, "Impossible, you say? Dear one, I am able to sing and play a tune for hours! All it takes is pure practice and the drive to better your song!" argued Amadeus with a smile. He patted her head a bit, admiring her spunk, "I will show you soon enough at tonight's festival!"
Agreeing to Aeri's request, Amadeus nodded and followed her toward the silver stream of legends. Feeling the urge to sing, the Bard unstrapped his lute from his back and played a cheery tune for his companion, "O' great king of beauty, lady of the moon, come hither! We call to thee, our prayers reach the heavens, suspended on golden wings!" His voice grew in crescendo, yet never lost the sweet grace he held within his vocals, "We have much to thank the heavenly king for this spring, young one!"

Jixern grabs his staff, rises, and turns around to face the stranger. He smiles "My business is my own, but if you really wish to know I guess there's no foul. I'm here to pollute this legendary oasis. Its my goal to be the first." He gave a bow while smiling at the mysterious Drow figure.

Dravel followed the bunny to the bush, then fell backwards at the sight of this young elf appearing before him. He hit the ground with a large thud. That sma'ted! He clamored to his feet as she questioned him. "Where bunny go'd?" His face lit up with anger, but mostly amusement. This elf intrigued him. A thought occured to him: "Why prety elf alones?" Dravel liked to think of himself as smart, and right now, he was beaming inside. Stupi' Grom, ne'er listenin o me... I fin' wa'ers and den eat prety elf la'y. He gave a small but stupid grin as he waited for a reply.

Amra smirked. "Well, why do you need a bunny?" Such simple creatures Orcs were. If only he knew.... "Where are the rest of your kind, Orc? Answer me or it will be your death." She pointed her great sword at the Orc, readying herself for an attack.

The dark elf's ears picked out several disconcerting sounds. He would need to try and get the mage to leave as quickly as feasible. If that didn't work, then so be it. "I would strongly advise against that. Now is not the most opportune time. We are about to be set upon by a band of orcs and I won't hesitate to use that to my advantage against you." His stance seemed casual, but beneath his cloak he was ready to cover the ground with a speed serpents envied.
