Biography: Akimoto Kumiko, a 14 year old student at Mahora Academy. Japanese born, her parents own a joke and magic shop, and live in the northern part of Japan. Kumiko, having begged her parents to send her to Mahora, strongly believed in the magical rumors that were directly related to the school involving magic, was transferred and enrolled at the academy, boarding in a dorm room. Kumiko often goes back to see her parents on weekends and during the holidays.

Personality: Somewhat of an eccentric personality, but mostly kept to herself. Sometimes comes of as rather friendly, despite her shy personality. Sometimes she comes off as a bit crazy, and slightly pompous. Doesn't really like to take sides, and seems to turn against everyone in most situations. She seems to talk a lot, despite being shy. She almost always has her head in a book, and spends all of the time trying to unlock the secret of magic, waiting one day to share it with the world and perhaps learn it herself. Likes manga, where she gets most of her crazy ideas from. Her grades are poor in the academic sense, but her all around intelligence is not that low.
