User Image Things To Know

If you want to post some nonsensical and fun stuff, then you may do so in the Facility Bunker forum. That is the ONLY place general threads and spam are allowed!

((The following was written by ForsakenFiora, leader of The Perfect Fit guild on Gaia Online. I own none of this, but the terms are important to know.))

# Auto Hit: Declaring your character has hit someone or something else. This is fine while combating player-controlled NPCs. When combating a PC, you must ALWAYS give them a chance to react.
# Game Master: The person running the game, they are in charge of setting and enforcing the rules, supplying plot and direction, and make sure everyone is having fun
# God Moding: Also known as “puppeteering”, it refers to taking control of another character that is not yours without permission. It is fine to do with player-controlled NPCS, but only Game Masters are allowed to control PCs without permission.
# Het: Also Hetro, refer to a heterosexual or straight couple. Het-only role-plays only allow heterosexual couplings, and are typically not allowed in this guild. Heterosexual couplings are perfectly fine.
# Literate: Someone who is capable of using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation to type out posts averaging about or over two or three paragraphs per post in an RPG.
# NPC: Non-player character. These characters are controlled by the game master, and often times in forum role-plays they are controlled by the players to an extent.
# OOC: Out of Character, a post that is made outside of the current game. OOC posts are often marked by surrounding the text with {{}}, [[]], or (())
# Original Character: A made up character for use in a series-related Role-play; these characters did not exist in the cannon of the series.
# PC: Player character, or the characters controlled by players. In general, being a player character means they have special rules.
# PG-13: Motion Picture Association of America describes PG-13 as:

Quote:
A PG-13 rating is a sterner warning by the Rating Board to parents to determine whether their children under age 13 should view the motion picture, as some material might not be suited for them. A PG-13 motion picture may go beyond the PG rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, adult activities or other elements, but does not reach the restricted R category. The theme of the motion picture by itself will not result in a rating greater than PG-13, although depictions of activities related to a mature theme may result in a restricted rating for the motion picture. Any drug use will initially require at least a PG-13 rating. More than brief nudity will require at least a PG-13 rating, but such nudity in a PG-13 rated motion picture generally will not be sexually oriented. There may be depictions of violence in a PG-13 movie, but generally not both realistic and extreme or persistent violence. A motion picture’s single use of one of the harsher sexually-derived words, though only as an expletive, initially requires at least a PG-13 rating. More than one such expletive requires an R rating, as must even one of those words used in a sexual context. The Rating Board nevertheless may rate such a motion picture PG-13 if, based on a special vote by a two-thirds majority, the Raters feel that most American parents would believe that a PG-13 rating is appropriate because of the context or manner in which the words are used or because the use of those words in the motion picture is inconspicuous.

# Power Play: A character who always avoids getting hit, and always does a great deal of damage. Only a Game Master is allowed to power play.
# Yaoi: Reference to a male homosexual or gay couple. Yaoi-only role-plays only allow male couplings. Yaoi couplings are perfectly fine.
# Yuri: Reference to female homosexual or gay couple. Yuri-only role-plays only allow female couplings. Yuri couplings are perfectly fine.
