It starts off slow and really dirge-like, and it's like that for maybe 3 minutes. Some of the lyrics are really powerful and when you learn that it's about the death of Dave's mother*, it just tugs on your heart, man.
Then for a minute or so it just flirts with turning into a positive tone until it does for the last two minutes or so.
It's a wonderful song.
*They say it's about Brandon's mother too, but these lyrics are saying that it's all over, and he's said in interviews that his mom is dealing with the cancer in a strong manner, so I'm kinda confused there.
