I remember a time...
A young woman sat on a rock out in the bay, a few feet from shore. Her back was to land, her face towards the endless world of blue. her dirty blond hair with green streaks blew around her pale face. On her slim figure she sported black capris with suspenders hanging down, black low-top converse, a green vest over a short black shirt, and green sunglasses, despite the biting winds.

A dance of enchanted night, of lucky days, and dreams...
Her slender fingers rapped the rock with dark green polished nails. On her head sat dark gray headphones/ Laughter rang in her ears. She opened her eyes. She was on a dance floor in a large manor house. Around her people laughed, danced, and smiled. The people were her friends. A man grabbed her hand and pulled her into the twirling dance, the waltz. The sweet melody soon filled her being and she danced and laughed along with them, with her friends.

I'll never forget such love, splendid...
The girl stood and made her way back to the shore, she was there in a few moments. After dusting herself off, not the least bit wet, she began walking. The man who had pulled her into the dance now sat with her outside on a balcony, holding her. He kissed heron her forehead and she felt safe, loved, wanted. A woman came out, a man in tow. She rushed over her and pulled her into a hug.

Beauty was mine, simply a precious gift I never knew I had...
She'd reached the streets, and continued walking, her hands in her pockets, her head down. She walked into a small house and into a room. It was painted a dark green. On a wall was a portrait of a young man and woman,the woman looking quiet like the one in the room. In the corner was a date, 1908. The girl in the room pulled off her glasses, revealing honey colored eyes. They were cast up at the portrait. The girl in it was beautiful, and full of color and life.

How can so much be taken, wrenched from my arms...
The girl in the room closed her eyes. That night, she lay in bed alone, her honey eyes closed. She heard whispers fill the silence, holding promises that her illness would be gone. They filled her mind, o much it was hard to think. So when she felt two tips piercing her neck, she let them. And when a wrist was put against her mouth, she drank the blood that poured from it.

I had so much to do...
A tear rolled down the woman's cheek, her hand moving over the hand of the woman's in the portrait, lingering over the ring. That night she left with the beautiful woman with long black hair. She left before she could tell her friends goodbye, her fiancee.

Crystal face in the mirror, where are my eyes, where is my soul...
The woman turned, looking into a mirror. her hand dropped from the portrait as she stared. her honey colored eyes took in the pale creature that stood there, so different, yet so alike to the woman in the portrait. Both were beautiful, but the pale creature in the mirror was an unearthly beauty, not a human beauty. Her eyes held less life, her skin, no color. She was smaller, thinner. She wiped the tear away and sighed.

Sleeping dreams bring the peace...
She fell back, landing on a bed. Climbing under the covers they began moving up and down with her even breathing.

Buried way beneath the sheets, i think shes having a melt down...
A different woman walked into the room and looked down at the bed. She was white, pale white, more so than the one under the covers. Her features were more feral, her eyes a dark red. her lips were red, her teeth, stark white. She was perfect, no blemishes, no imperfections. She had long dark red hair that fell down her back in waves, stopping at her waist. She was dressed in an old fashioned Lolita style black dress with dark red lace. On her feet were thigh-high black lace up high-heeled boots. Her nails were a dark red, and long. She sighed and sat on the bed, gently stroking the sheets.

She won't let anyone help her...
"Jade, lovely, please don't cry, the stains will be impossible to get out." She said, her Italian accent thick. The woman lay down, wrapping her slender pale arms around the lump in the sheets. "Jade lovely, please talk to me."

The look on her face, a waste of time...
The sheets moved then sat up, revealing Jade. "Rowan, leave me alone." She said. Rowan frowned. "But darling, you were in such a good mood this morning." She said. Jade sighed and slid out of the bed. "I'm not your darling." Jade said. Slipping her converse on she walked out the door.

Loosing her grace, she starts to cry, i feel her pain when i look in her eyes...
"Jade, it's in the past, you're no longer part of that world. The victorian ages are over, the 1900s are over. They're all dead, why do you hold onto that life?" Rowan asked, not understanding. Jade shook her head, sorrow and rage in her eyes. "You wouldn't understand! You never do! You've never had another life to think about!" Jade yelled, tears beginning to well in her eyes and run down her cheeks. She turned then, blond hair flying, and walked out.

I wanna be her everything...
Rowan stood in the doorway and watched Jade go. She sighed. She never completely understood Jade. Just when she thought she'd have her all figured out, she'd go and pull something like this. Jade was the only on like this, and it itched Rowan to the core. "Jade, my love, why can't you just completely accept our life, and love me. Love me like you did him." She whispered. With a flick of her wrist she was back inside the quiet of her and Jade's house.

Jade walked down the street, hands in pockets, head down. She had calmed down some, the tears had dried, bit she was still upset. She looked up, hearing them, her honey colored eyes meeting Liaon's. They then flicked to Isabella. Her fluid moments stopped for just a split moment then picked up again, to fast for a human to catch. She looked away from the two and brushed past them.

Jade sighed. Vampires, she'd never get used to them. Like she was going to go for that human. She hadn't loved since she was human, it was very unlikely that she'd love now. She looked back at him, catching his eyes again. he looked like him, like Alexander. She shuddered and looked back down at her shoes.

Jade continued walking. After a few minutes she stopped, staring at Dartmouth. Then she turned around and made her way to the beach. She set herself on the smooth rocks that set by the shore and looked out at the waters.

Jade looked up, eyeing the panther. For a few moments she was still, measuring him, then she took a silent breath. He was a shifter, most likely no harm to her.

Jade sighed and looked at him, hissing and baring her fangs. Vampires were the top of the food chain in the world. Any animal or person, from the night world or mortal that had any sense at all knew not to mess with them.

Jade looked at them, quickly retracting ehr fangs. She stood. "Uh...please, don't hurt him. My pa gave him to me...as...as a gift. I'm uh, supposed to be taking him to uh..uh fair. You know, the one in Koores. Please sir, he never leave my side. He's uh...innocent." She said, making up as she went. She saw she almost had them , but most were still doubtful. Then Rowan came up beside her. She smiled gently at the police and animal men. "Excuse me kind men, but my sister is right. We're taking him to our father in Koores to the fair. He's gentle, promise." She said, her voice like liquid velvet, smoother than Isabella's. The men were entranced. They nodded dumbly and walked back to their cars, driving off.
