So I decided I need to get a bigger/heavier food dish. Caine has this terrible habbit of getting all upset and trying to dig out his litter boxes, and also of knocking around their food dishes, spilling the food everywhere. Poor Charles has to eat off the ground, lol.

Anyone else have a similar problem? No matter if I let him out to play or anything he still just tips over his food dish as much as possible. Think he's just trying to play with it?

I did with my last pair, but I got one of those bird feeders, that you can get at any petshop, the attach to the side of the cage.

My moms ferret Mickey digs the food out of his bowl and eats off the floor of his cage. And every morning he takes a 'bath' in his small water dish, tries to swim around in it even though he can't fit in it, so he gets water all over the cage and on the food he digs out so every day I have to clean up a mushy mess of ferret food. He is so messy.

I've come to live by the food crocks that latch onto the cage. My girls have a long one than comfortably allows both of them to be at the bowl at the same time (even though Nora tends to sit just in a way that doesn't allow Harle to get up there when she is X'D).

But if you're really wanting to keep the bowl free from the cage, you could maybe try this kind of bowl:

My ferrets do the same thing. They dig out the food and litter, and try to rip the litter boxes from the back of the cage. It's really annoying :/
