Biography: Born and raised in Tokyo, the life of Mayuko was one of strict training and discipline. Born the daughter of a Priestess, and a Half-Demon, Mayuko, or Mayu-chan, as she was called by those close to her, was trained first in the duties of a Miko, and then, in the duties of an Onmyōdō, or Eastern Mage.

Despite her differences while growing, her demonic heritage has never really reared its head, except in the most minute of ways, allowing her natural powers a distinct advantage. During her mid-teens the girl was almost ravaged during a demon attack, but instead, sealed the demon inside herself. The results of this are still quite unknown, as the demon has not since surfaced in the entirety of her twenty nine years.

Raised with full knowledge of the magical world, though no practical experience in it, she eventually drifted from the strict teachings of her mother and father, to a career she'd dreamed of for most of her youth - voice acting. Going under the name of Chizuru Kandori, she has several creditable roles, though none of them in any well known anime. Very few people -- including her students -- know of this particular aspect of her life. This side career propelled her through college toward her real dream - teaching.

Only recently did she take on the role of teacher at Mahora Academy, a sudden career change that is believed to have been preempted by the visit of Konoemon to her mother's temple. Since that fateful day, she has come onto staff on behalf of the temple as the teacher of Biological Sciences, one of the few studies she excelled at during her own time in school, that she feels teaches people about the natural world as much as it does about the technical science aspect of life. She specializes in anatomy, something that leaves her at the brunt of many jokes, especially because of her bust size.

Personality: Mayuko has a very dominating personality, brought on from years both as a teacher, and her first job, as a voice actress. Her personality is very passionate, and this shows in all she does. She's rarely cold, but has a presence about her that seems to demands attention from all those around her. This serves her well as a school teacher, and gives her the ability to easily pull the attention of her students toward her.

Weapon: Shikigami, a spirit bound to a small doll which she is capable of controlling. Aside from this, she uses a wakizashi for close combat fighting, when her shikigami fails her.

Appearance: Mayuko stands at a scant 5'4", her black hair and brown eyes typical for one of Asian descent. She is a bit busty, but otherwise slight of build. Her clothing is always very elegant, mostly silk. Typically seen in silken pants and loose button up blouses, she's usually covered with just enough jewelry to be fashionable, but not so much she stands out terribly in a crowd. She's never without her pearl earrings, and usually during her relaxation time one may find her in blue jeans, pearls, a loose shirt, and heels. A woman in fair condition thanks to years of chasing after first smaller children, then older ones as she went from teaching a lower grade to a higher one, she is quite physically fit, barely matching her almost thirty years of age in physique, and appearance. Her favored outfit when not preparing for class is a pair of black silk pants, black heels, and a milky white sleeveless top trimmed in black, sometimes covered with an open mandarin collar shirt decorated with an ornate styled dragon, silver on the deep crimson.
