Overview: The desert is a harsh place to live, but a few brave people do live out here. They try and grow whatever crops they can, and then transport them to the larger cities. There are a few small settlements in this region, but they lack anything worth mentioning.

Latona took a drink from her small flask and looked around. She had been walking all morning and had found no clues so far. Latona regretted not spending much time with Isis, and leaving almost as soon as she got there. She will forgive me... Latona thought, chuckling. Latona started on her journey again squinted in the distance. Luckily, the heat did not bother her; her gown helped protect from the sun, and besides she was used to it.

Latona rode on through the desert as fast as the horse would go. She didn't stop to rest, even when the city came into view.

She passed my many merchants and other travelers who were all heading into the city, unknowing of what was coming. She approached the city walls, the gates were open, and the guards on duty were leaning nonchalantly up against the walls. Nothing ever happened here.
