I don't read the manga that much, but I was so close to finishing the anime, actually I did, but I missed like a lot of episodes in between, so I am buying the anime by season, so far I have every episode up to season four!

I finished both!
Then add movies into that mix and then listened to all of the drama CDs (even though that has nothing to do with canon plot). XD

♥ | I finished all of the anime (including the movies). The manga I read the last one hundred chapters of or so, missing almost all of the ones that came before those (except for the Kagura and Hakudoushi death scenes. cry I recently started over at the beginning of the manga, though... Now I have read the first twenty chapters! (Woo...accomplishment. /sarcasm 4laugh ) I will catch up eventually! twisted | ♥

♥ | An Inuyasha OVA known as Black Tessaiga was aired in Japan at the Takahashi Rumiko Exhibit back in July / August of 2008, after the ending of the manga last year; however, the OVA was never released on DVD which has made it impossible to find on the Internet and unlikely to be released by VIZ any time soon.
As far as the manga goes, VIZ has been publishing the volumes on a monthly basis (slow). The last volume to be released was volume 37 back in April, compared to the complete 56 volumes that have been released in Japan, but as far as the anime goes, all of the episodes and movies have been dubbed and released on DVD and aired on television except for that OVA.
So really, the only thing that hasn't been completed in America is the manga and the ani-manga. You can read the complete fan-translated manga online, though -- so I wouldn't worry about it. And the OVA hardly counts because it hasn't even been released in Japan! burning_eyes | ♥

I watched The Black Tessigua... it wasn't that great. It made me laugh really hard but I preferred the original season.

♥ | I saw the first bit of it, but I didn't completely understand it because it didn't have subtitles (or the subtitles were in Spanish...I don't remember -- ¡No hablo español!). It wasn't bad...it had Inuyasha / Sesshoumaru interaction. heart
Anyway, Sunrise is coming out with the new Inuyasha series next month, which is a continuation of the manga, and VIZ is continuing to release the newer manga volumes monthly, I believe, but in right-to-left format from now on (and re-releasing the volumes in right-to-left starting from volume 1).
I have made progress on reading all of the manga! Though I have been reading it in sections, I have probably covered close to two-thirds of the entire series. I simply need to reread a good number of arcs and hash out some new manga material and will have the entire series finally tucked away in my mind! (Until Sunrise begins releasing the new episodes, that is...) | ♥

Well, I found a place to download the new series when it comes out. I lost the link but I've been working on finding it. When I do, I'll post the site so other people can watch and download if they'd like! heart

Oh man! I have the whole anime and manga series, but I love it so much that I would cry when it's over! It's been so long since I've seen or read more of it because I just don't want to get so caught up in it again. It would completely ruin me when my fav show ends! It's already bad enough that adult swim only shows it on sundays at 6 in the morning! Well, in Colorado anyways. razz Does anybody have a solution or even a tip for me?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean... Like, when to watch it other than at 6 AM? Because if you have it all, why don't you just watch it? Haha

P_Tama I'm not 100% sure what you mean... Like, when to watch it other than at 6 AM? Because if you have it all, why don't you just watch it? Haha No, I mean I wish it was a bit more popular in the U.S now days. It used to be more popular a few years back, but it's just grown further and further away from public television. Therefore, there would be less merchandise and other goods. I wish Rumiko would continue the series. I didn't really mean for somebody to actually give me a solution, cause I know there isn't one. What I meant was for somebody to give me a hint on what they do to not feel as bad when a show or anything else for that matter is canceled. I'm glad it's still on the air and all, but it's just not the same. That's pretty much what I was trying to get out. Sorry about the confusion. biggrin
