Overview: Capital of the High Elves, and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The great harbor of this city is protected by massive stone walls that continue onto the shore to surround the whole city. In the center of the city rises a great spire, from which Elves are trained in the ways of magic, and to the north of the spire lies the Elven Royal Palace, where the ruling family lives.

"Good idea," Valen said. He himself was getting hungry as well after his fight with Karas. The Blood Dragons was mostly made up of Human Vampires and as a result there was no secret safe house run by them in Ellyrion. But Valen had heard of Elvish Vampire covens and there was a good chance he could find one that would take them in, and more importantly let them leave too. "I think I might be able to find us a place," and so Valen led them to an area of the city where the buildings were all very high and close together. It had a sort of cramped feel to it unlike most of the city that was very open, but it kept them in the shade and if Valen was right that is where they would find Vampires.

Valen smirked when he noticed the heart beats here were less noisy; they were close. He walked up to a man running a merchant's stand and said, "nice day to enjoy the shade." Being as it was a sunny and beautiful day it was clear what Valen was talking about.

"Indeed," the man replied, "very nice day for the shade."

"My friends and I were wondering if you knew of tavern or some other place where we could stay, preferably a place that is more accepting of everyone and that doesn't have many bar fights."

"I do, the White Flower. No one asks your business so long as you don't as theirs."

"Thank you," Valen returned to Rae and Ikzer. "Well, I think I found a place where I will be able to be refreshed as well. But I would understand your discomfort going there."

Valen was shocked by this revelation, you can become a person? How? He was interested in the idea of speaking with Nvira in person, but if it came at the risk of losing her as a sword that scared him a bit. He liked their private conversations, they made him feel like they had something special. Also, the power that she granted him was a considerable benefit in his battles as well.

They walked to the White Flower. It was a nice looking building, with an elegant exterior, but when they entered the building Valen was stunned by how much more lavish it was. The furniture, paintings, decorations, rugs, walls, and everything you could see was of the finest quality: expertly carved from stone or wood, or gilded in gold and silver, or made in the finest fabrics. Valen had never been in a place so decadently decorated. He was certain it would put some palaces in Estalia to shame.

The main room was a lavish lounge with large comfortable looking chairs that could several people, albeit closely together. The carpets were very thick and plush, and fine pillows were everywhere. Of course this wasn't too weird as soon as Valen saw the women there, for this was a harem.

Valen was quite surprised, usually elf women were much more proper than this. They were all scantily clad and lounged together and around men that were staying here as well. Valen asked the owner whether or not this was a tavern, and she replied that it was, but they also had a harem, and women to keep you company if you so liked. The owner clearly was flirting with Valen, but he just ignored her, "um, I had no idea, if you like we can go somewhere else. I will just stay here for what I need and then join up with you."

Valen felt very nervous again, just like that night when he had killed Daphne. Thoughts of her made him worry about now. But he went up the stairs to his room. As he continued to think it didn't seem right. He knew that Nvira liked him, to some degree at least, and he liked her. But it was all very confusing for him, his feelings. Feelings had he never really felt before.

(Um, not sure if that made any sense, but what I am trying to express is that Valen is having second thoughts about this. Like... even though Daphne is dead he is still in love with her, and feels loyal to her. Not just how she looks, but her. Also he is in conflict with his Brettonian beliefs. He is a virgin (never saw the need to give into Vampire whores as he sees many of them) and Nvira has come in at a strange time. While she is trying to corrupt him into a monster he was on the path to redemption for his sins/crimes and was sort of becoming an honorable knight again instead of a ruthless killer... so basic it is a bunch of conflicting interests... if that makes sense)

Valen saw Rae take a man into her room, but he didn't notice her for he was too distracted with his own thoughts. When he got into his room he replied, no... I don't think that would be right. If you wish I will help you to become human.... but I don't think I want to do anything... other than be with you I mean. Valen was clearly still unsure about this.

Valen sat down and unsheathed Nvira, assuming that would be something necessary to do. He then thought of Nvira's true form (I think he saw it in a dream once right?) and wished for her to be that.

Valen was now very uncomfortable with that idea, "no; thank you for the offer, but I can't... I couldn't bring myself to do that.... besides, one of the reasons I came here was because I knew a Vampire tavern would have blood." Valen picked up a fine crafted bottle of blood and downed it all at once, even though there were glasses. The glasses were likely for Vampires who fed on a daily basis and so wouldn't need as much as him.

Valen was now the one interested, "I have been curious about your past, but haven't found an opportunity to ask."
