It took the caravan about another hour to reach the city, the sun was well up into the sky, and thus the gates were wide open to allow travelers, although there were not many travelers to be seen. A few farmers were entering the city, but their wagons were half as full as they could be, and their produce didn't look very healthy either. The guards standing at attention at the front gate wore the distinctive Maroon Color of the Sylvanian Guard. They allowed most people in, but then a hunched figure wrapped in a brown cloak was walking towards the gate. One of the guards stepped forward and shoved him off to the side of the road, and yelled at him to stay out.

Angel made her way into the city with the rest of the caravan, and watched as the man was denied entrance, but didn't pay much thought to it. Looking around, she did take care to notice the path they took, and made sure not to stray too far from the rest of the caravan. After continueing on for a little while longs, she made her way back to Carson, since his was the only name she still knew, though she recognized some faces.

"Well, Carson, what is the caravan going to do next? What's it from here?" She asked, walking next to his wagon

"We are going to a warehouse on the other side of the city to deliver our goods. You can go now, oh, and before you leave," he reached into his pocket and took out a small bag and then tossed it to her. It had the jingle of metal in it. "It's not much, but I refuse to have someone work with me and not be payed."

Angel felt guilty taking the money, but she pocketed it anyways, not wanting to seem rude for refusing. "Well, if the caravan is allright, I suppose I'll just be on my way. I hope our paths cross again someday, it was truly a pleasure meeting you. Good luck on your travles." She smiled and nodded once to Carson, and went the opposite way down the street at the nearest crossroad, but found herself glancing back continuously at the caravan, and at one of her first- if unofficial- friends on her journey.

The streets were bustling with activity at the moment. Most people crowded around the stands of produce that lined the streets. Guard were stationed everywhere in these markets, keeping a watchful eye on everything.

(Ok, a city is usually separated in sections. Residential, warhouses, bars, brothels/red light district, markets, inns, and general merchandise selling areas. oh and governmental/military areas. You are the first person to RP in any of the cities, besides myself, so I feel like that should be explained....)

(thanks for explaining that, I'll be sure to keep it in mind)

Angel spent the rest of the day wandering around Waldenhoff, making her way past the street vendors and the little kids running around chasing small animals and one another. By the time the sun began to set, she thought she had a pretty good mental layout of the city, from its bars and brothels to it's castle and governmental area that her entrance had been denied. When the streets began to clear of general traffic, and smaller children, and all of the more shadowy figures began to make their way into the streets and shadows, she made her way over to the bar area again, planning on attempting to learn more about these rumors.

There was one such tavern that had the sounds of music coming from it. Above it swayed a sign that said "Brasshorn Tavern." The candle and torch light came could be seen through the windows, and outside a woman of the night was speaking with a man in a black cloak. All along the streets of Waldenhoff lamplighters were busy at work but the presence of guards was noticeably greatly diminished.

Angel walked down the street with a calm demeanor, watching the lamp lighters hurry on their way, and could hear noise coming from a tavern up ahead. Brushing her hair over her shoulder, she continued on her way to the boisterous place, and thought that this might be just the place. Stopping in front of it, she read the sign; 'Brasshorn Tavern', and remembered it from her ventures earlier that day, though it wasn't as upbeat then.

Walking past the man and woman in front, she felt eerily like she was being watched, and instinctively a hand went to one of the daggers in her belt, but upon entering the rambunctious place all feelings of being watched where dismissed. She was surprised that such a happy place could exist in such troubled times. She watched as a drunk tavern maiden spilled drinks all over the people she was supposed to be serving, and they all laughed hysterically about it.

Navigating through the crowded area, past drunks and people on their way to becoming drunk, was no easy task. She kept bumping into people, over people, and into tables and chairs Getting aggravated, she finally made her way to the bartender, who was a young, rather clean shaved male. He spoke to her as she sat.

“Why, 'ello young lay'day” Angel noted how he spoke with a queer accent, but made no comment of it. “And what can I get for you today?”

“I'm not here for drink...” Was her quiet response as she pushed a few gold pieces over the threshold. The bartender looked around to see if anyone was paying too close attention to what they where doing, reached forward and pocketed the money.

“Well, den what ehzactly are you lookin' fohr?” He asked, again in that strange accent. Angel glanced around, just as he did and leaned in a bit to talk more personally.

“Well, I've heard some rumors...about vampires in the area?” The man raised an eyebrow, and seemed amused. Angel's eyes narrowed, wondering what his expression could mean.

“Well, infohrmahtion like thad'll cohst yah a bit mohre.” He said, a smile breaking across his face, and Angel noticed he had a few missing teeth. She bit the inside of her lip and looked around before sliding more gold across the counter. The bartender took it this time without hesitation.

“Aha, so, those rumors, eh? Well, Ih'm 'fraid dats all they are.” He paused, seeing the look in Angel's face. He put his hands up in a sign of reasoning. “Buht, if yah insist ohn talkin' 'bout it, go talk tah' that mahn over there.” He said, and nodded towards an old man in the corner that looked like a man of great faith, or so Angel thought until she saw him peeking under the tavern maidens skirt as she walked by. She nodded at the bartender, still upset he had swindled her out of gold, but made her way over to the man specified.

Sayon looked up as a young woman clad in leather armor, and dark hair approached him, but he wasn't exactly looking at her armor or hair. He, of course was more interested in the body beneath the armor. A smile played his old face as the young woman sat across from him, and he got distracted from her body after glancing up at her eyes, but not for long. Sayon had been sitting in the tavern for a few hours now and had consumed his fair share of ale, so he didn't catch what the lady had said the first, and asked her to repeat it.

“I said, I was told you might have some information I'd be interested.” Angel said wearily, tired of the man staring at her chest instead of looking her in the eye. After a moment went by in which he made no inclination of responding, Angel bent over so that the view of her chest would be distorted, and her face was where her chest had been.

“Look, are you interested in talking or not. I don't have time to sit her and play games with you.” She said, scowling a little but the man didn't really seem to mind a whole lot. He just leaned back in his chair with a sigh and drained the rest of his ale, before slamming the cup back to the table.

“Yes..yes...an' what might you want?” Sayon asked grumpily, his eyes moving back to the tavern maiden that had spilled drinks everywhere earlier. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Angels eye shift side to side, watching to see if anyone was watching. Angel caught his attention again as she leaned forward, her breasts now resting against the table, so of course that's what his eye concentrated on, that is until he heard that single word escape from her lips.

“Vampires....”

The door to the tavern opened again and a Wood Elf with a fairly odd ring blade weapon, and a very large man with a great axe slung across his back entered in. The Wood Elf looked around the tavern, and after spotting a place in the corner she started that way, the large man following. As they made their way across the room they caught the attention of several tavern people, one fairly drunken man had the nerve to reach up and grab her butt as she walked by. In an instant his face was on the table and his arm wrenched painfully behind his back. The Wood Elf was leaning up against him to pin him to the table, and with a knife resting against his neck. She then talked into his ear, "you would be smart to not touch me again, or else a broken wrist will the least of your worries."

"But, I don-"

There was the popping of bones and the man let out a scream. She then let him up and she and the large man continued to proceed to the corner table. The noise of the tavern started up again, albeit with one rambunctious man being a bit more sober.

Right after Angel had said the word, she heard the door open, but paid no attention to it, instead she studied Sayons' face as he studied hers right back, wondering what the other could be thinking. However, their thoughts became interrupted when the tavern suddenly grew silent. Angel watched wearily as a Wood Elf leaned over a man, pinning him to the table.

“But, I don-” His sentence got interrupted when he screamed, and the Wood Elf stood back up and continued on through the Tavern with a really large man into the corner, not far from herself and the man she sat with. The rest of the Tavern began moving again, but Angel kept her eyes on the two new-comers for a while before Sayon distracted her with the clearing of his throat. Reluctantly, she turned her attention back to him.

“Well, young lady, you bring up a topic like that, and I have yet to even learn your name or get a drink or anything? Come now...” Sayon said in a smooth, relaxed voice, noticing Angels' tension, but he wasn't looking at Angel, his eyes now traveled to the Wood Elf nearby and the large man she was with, wondering where they could be from.

“My name is Angel, and if you don't mind me saying, but I believe you've had enough ale for one night. Angel said, a slight attitude in her voice as she eyed his droopy eyes. “Now, I know this is a touchy subject, but I need as much information as possible Mr...?”

“Sayon. You can call me Sayon.” He told her, and motioned her closer, and leaned in a little and waited for her to do the same, deciding to ignore the drunk comment. Once she was in closer, he began to speak in a low voice. “What do you need to know, young lady?”

“Is it true that vampires are rumored to be in the area?” Angel asked in a low voice, getting that creeping feeling like she was being watched again, but she just dismissed it as paranoia after seeing the scene moments before.

Sayon snorted, and chuckled at her question, and rolled his eyes.
“Rumored? Hah! Of course their here!” He said loudly and laughed a little more before realizing how loud he was being and quieting down. “I mean, I thought everyone knew that. Where have you been, living under a rock?”

A tavern girl came over and took the order of the two new arrivals. After a few moments she came out with one bowl of stew and a pot of stew. The Wood Elf payed her, she left the food at their table and then went on her way to see to the other tavern goers.

Angel rolled her eyes, but was happy they where finally getting some where with this. Before she had a chance to ask another question, Sayon leaned back in to speak again.

“Don't tell anyone, but I think vampires are running the whole town. They've been here quietly for centuries. But their getting restless now. If you ask me, their going to take over and make us all their slaves.” He said, and with a look like she should be extremely impressed or something. Instead, she leaned back, looking like she was surprised for a moment, but couldn't hold it. Instead she burst out laughing, and shook her head.

“You actually expect me to believe this? Puh-lease”

Azura wore her thin, sheer cloak as she stepped in the tavern and looked around. Her glow was bright, but not too distracting to the human eye. She smiled softly when she spotted the two she had been searching for. Azura walked forward and placed a gentle hand on the Wood Elf. "Hello my dear..."
