Raetherstria's eyes widened as they got closer,"What a large city! I can see how she said everything was here....but how could nothing be here as well?"
Ikzer seemed to stir a little bit. "Why am I bouncing all around...ugggg my head."
Rae seemed happy to hear him awake she ran up to Valen and smiled down at Ikzer,"Welcome back to the living!"
Nvira chuckled then sighed,"I shall keep to myself more big cities give me a even bigger headache...well if I had a head that is...but you know what I mean too many thoughts and all that going on. I will make sure to stay alert for bad thoughts but it might be hard with so many voices..." Really it wouldn't be ahrd to do for her but she didn't need Valen to know that. She was using the silence to dig deeper into his brain to learn more about him. She had learned a lot with his dream when he slept again she would have even more understanding and thus control. He would start thinking of only her like they all did. Even now she could tell he was possesive not wanting her to talk to others too much and not talking to him for long periods of time seemed to sadden him.

"You were knocked unconscious, so I have volunteered to carry you. Are you able to walk yet," Valen asked, not in a hurried sort of tone, but just asking. I understand, Valen thought to Nvira. He would miss her commentary for the time they were here.
Marienburg was a beautiful city. It's buildings were almost all made out of stone, the streets were paved, and vendors lined the streets displaying fine silks, paintings, statues, weapons, spices, and other exotic goods to all passersby. The city only had some sections with protective walls (mostly just the governmental and upper class districts) so they simply walked into the city without having to go through a gate. Guards were around, but they were more or less lax and not paying much attention to the travelers. The buildings were quite tall, most of them being at least 2 or 3 stories. Off on the far end of the city, near the port, was the towering spire of the Great Marienburg Lighthouse. It was a massive tower 1000 feet tall (about Eiffel tower height) all made out of beautiful marble and decorated in fine sculptures of winged angels. It had a square base that continued all the way to the top. Atop the tower was a round glass room, where a complex system of gears had a large mirror circle an enormous fire that was kept lit at all times. Below the top was a large clock on all 4 sides of the tower that displayed the time for all citizens. Every hour on the hour (except after 9 at night) the clock tower would sound to a chorus of bells stored inside of it. At night the clock tower had a large fire inside of it to light up the clock itself so it could be seen 24 hours a day.

Ikzer did reagin his legs quite quickly. "I suppose we didn't get that hurt huh...." He looked at his arm and leg that he knew had been hurt. "You healed us?" He looked at Valen.
"Actually Father McCreary did." Raethestria answered before Valen could say anything.
"Oh thank you father." Ikzer said honestly. He looked around and smiled, with so many people he could fit in a bit better it seemed. Not to mention make more money gosh these streets were filled!
Raetherstria seemed the most uncomfrotable out of all of them even though she did like the city she didn't like the people that much. She liked some but not large crowds.

"You are welcome son, but let's try and avoid fights like that again... is that alright?"
Valen let Ikzer down. The sun was quite powerful here, and it's light reflected off of the white walls of many of the buildings, making things more difficult. He had only been to Marienburg once, and he knew there was an Order house here, but he wasn't quite sure where it was anymore. "Well, I need to find some new clothes and we all could be cleaned up too... how about we split up and then meet at the tower in 2 hours?"

"Sounds good to me." Ikzer said with a smile looking around.
Rae seemed unhappy by that but she nodded,"I will manage I suppose...." She looked around thinking of being alone amoung the crowds she didn't like it.
Nvira seemed disoriented when she replyed,"Split up...but I'm a sword... I can't walk." She seemed like she was drunk with the crowds around her. Indeed she kinda was as she didn't really stop herself from reading minds of passer byers to learn things that might be useful.

We can travel in groups of course. "Alright then, I will see you all in two hours." Valen then went off towards the tavern district of the city, that was usually where Order hideouts were.
Seeing her discomfort Father McCreary walked up beside of Rae, "would you care to explore the city with me? I have always heard that the architecture here is only surpassed by that on Ellyrion."

Rae smiled,"Yes that would be nice and we do have to stop by somehwere and eat and get a nice bath as well. I can pay if you like."
Ikzer smiled at Raetherstria,"I would travel with you but I plan on just performing here so you might get bored and want to do something else. Sorry Rae. I will see you later." He waved at them and even though he was easy to spot out he got lost in a crowd so easily it was scary.
When Rae looked down she saw that Pyg had decided to stay with hating the large crowd of adults as much as she did. Pyg stayed hidden behind her hair on her shoulder. Using it to peek through and hide behind as well. Which was rather cute looking because it made her hair buldge and it was quite obvious he was there looking around and trying to not be seen.

It took Valen a little while to find the place because of how big the city was, bu then he spotted the familiar red dragon sign swinging above a tavern entrance and he knew that that was the place. He entered the door and then went into the back where he found the secret area that was for Order members only. He explained to the Master their what had happened on the road and was congratulated on his victory. They happily supplied him with new clothes that were very similar to what he used to have, and then he left to go to the Tower.
***
Rae and Father traveled to Temple of the Lady where they were given a bath, food, and offered clean clothes. Father took the clothes because they were monk robes just like he had. Rae was also offered modest clothes. All of the monks and nuns there seemed to be a a hurry packing and getting stuff together, so Father asked what was going on. "Have you not heard? Marienburg harbor was attacked last night, by a Brettonian Warship. It destroyed several ships and a couple buildings before fleeing back out into sea... we are preparing to flee the city to avoid capture from the guard... or the judgment of the mob. We don't know why it happened, but we expect the Emperor to declare war on Brettonia in a couple days."

Rae was a bit amused by humans wars. She didn't want to say anything as to bring attention to herself though so she kept her mouth shut on not understand why they were attacking thier own people. Was it a territory breach? Most dragons had a fight of wits to get things through with but some fought if it was a mate or gold. Maybe it was gold? This place seemed to be quite nice she was sure that could be it. But why not the main leaders against eachother then in such a ruin the people here tactic? She whispered to Father McCreary,"Why not just have the leaders fight eachother then rule here? Isn't that how it works?"
Ikzer had quite a bit of luck getting money and he fundraised quite a bit to put aside to his own needs and wants. They had a large selection of woman and jsut because he liked Rae didn't mean that stopped her from being a dragon which made his opinion diffrent about her in some ways. How could that ever work out a dark elf and a dragon? It couldn't stop him from not liking her but it did make it to where he could do what he wanted without feeling too bad.

"No, I am afraid not. Wars for us are much different I suspect than what you know." He stopped and turned to the monk, "thank you, I will be careful... good luck, and I will pray that you have a safe journey."
"As will I brother."
Father McCreary and Rae left the temple and he felt he should continue his explanation. "Human wars amongst each other are often times ultimately pointless. For the most part Humans, Elves, and Dwarves are all goodly, so when they fight each other there is no righteousness and glory to be had, so wars just become sorrowful and drawn out conflicts and when they are done the only thing that changed is how drastically their respective populations have reduced."

Rae frowned,"Well why would they do that?" She sighed,"I suppose dragons stay to themselves more then people do. Although we have meeting for mating and breeding and raising until we get of a certian age then we are kicked from the breeding grounds until we mature more and gain more treasure to go back. I will be able to go in another year or so." Rae smiled proudly at her coming of age. "So humans fight to reduce thier population?" Raetherstria sighed,"Well I dont see why there are so many other dangers to worry about then just fighting themselves there are the overly bad people, dark elves, monsters and all that...."

"No, humans do not fight to reduce their populations... that is just the result. Usually it is over land, or gold, or even love from time to time."

Raetherstria could understand that,"Why do they kill though I mean yeah some get really hurt or carried away but... well I suppose diffrent species do it diffrently. I mean wolves tend to kill one another when becomeing alpha. We should go though I am sure Valen and Ikzer is waiting for us. We have to find out about this riddle some more."
Ikzer really was the last one to get to the place they agreed to meet with two woman in each arm. Kissing him on the cheeks and he laughed happily. He didn't notice Rae's glare it seemed as he was buzzed and so were the girls. "I could live here." He said with a laugh as he retreated to a room.

Valen was waiting for them patiently, and was not surprised to see Ikzer with a couple girls with him. They all got a table at a tavern to talk about their next step in their journey. Valen started, "so, we can stay here perhaps, but I think we should go to Ellyrion, it only makes sense as it is the western most place in the world."
"I don't think I will be able to join you I am afraid," Father McCreary said.
Valen looked to him a bit surprised, "why?"
"I found out today that Brettonia attacked Marienburg last night and war will likely be declared. I need to go warn my brothers back in Ostermark before they are hurt."
