Valen and the other Blood Knights proudly marched into their home. There were many more Knights gathered there as well. More than Valen had ever seen before. Some were sharing tales, and reuniting with friends. The path of a Blood Knight is a lonely one, and you could go decades before seeing a friend again. Valen had few friends here.... It was partially his own fault for staying on the road so often, but he also blamed his "indoctrination" into the Vampiric Order. He walked through the great halls and courtyards of the keep. Many Knights were also sparring, and purchasing and upgrading their weapons and armor for the coming battle. Valen thought that that was a good idea, and went to the castle forgeries. An enchanter was working on a fine crafted sword, and looked up from his work as Valen approached. "What can I do you?"
"I would like to enchant my armor."
"Well, I can do that. What would you like?"
I would like for you to enchant my chain mail with Magic Protection."
"Alright then."
Valen removed his chain mail armor, and handed it over.
When the Enchanter was done he handed him the gold, bowed and thanked him, and left.

Valen knew that he would need more than what he already had, so the next day he returned to the Enchanter and had him upgrade his armor.

Rori touched the ground lightly and bounded off quickly, tucking her wings close to her body. Kraith looked around as they entered their home, "Home alas, It's quite nice in here." He saw all of the people just like him, vampires. He and Rori strode forward and waited near a wall. A couple feet in front of his was an enchanter and a vampire. Tt seemed to Kraith that the vampire had just gotten his armor enchanted. Kraith dismounted Rori and told her to keep closely. He walked up to him gracefully, he nodded at the enchanter and started to talk to the vampire in front of him, "Hey, I'm Kraith. This is Rori," Rori gave a slight yelp as if to say 'Hello', "We were wondering if you knew what was going on."
(and yes I'm talking to Valen)

He looked down at Rori and smiled in amusement, and then looked up at Kraith again, "greetings, I am Valen Gray. Oh, so I guess you have not heard? The armies of Angmar have risen again, and marching to invade the living world, and specifically to hunt down and kill every Vampire." He said this nonchalantly, almost like he enjoyed the idea of such a challenge.
(Um, ok, Angmar is basically Khemri in Warhammer, but in this Angmar is the native home of the first Vampires. The Vampires were discovered, hunted down and driven out, yadda yadda, you get the picture, now they want to finish the job. Also, I have come to realize that one of my rules is being a real pain in the butt, you may now upgrade your items (enchanting wise) as many times a day as you want.)

"Sounds like a challenge is what they want." Kraith sighed and looked at the ground. Kraith picked his head up and spoke, "Do we know when they will attack?" Kraith looked around him and back at Rori. She was listening intently to their conversation.
(Ok..I think I've got it.)

"The scryers in the tower have been monitoring their progress, they say that they are making good speed. I do not know when they will reach Mordiheim, but we will be leaving for the Kensrowe Pass in the next couple days. We will also be met by Imperial troops, and hopefully soldiers from Keslev if they arrive in time.... the sea is dangerous to cross this time of year."

"Well, if they don't arrive on time and they arrive halfway in the battle we could crush their forces quickly with the reinforcements," Kraith paused and restarted, "We might loose to many of our people that way.." Kraith sighed as Rori stretched out her wings. A bird flew in from the window and Kraith spotted it weaving in and out of the crowd of vampires. "About time for some practice!" Kraith said before pulling out his bow. He traced the birds movements and noticed a pattern in the flight. He took in a deep breath to steady his aiming for a dead shot. He pulled the arrow back and released. The arrow zoomed straight past someones head and pierced the bird. Kraith picked the arrow up and threw the bird back on the ground. "Are you any good at archery?" Kraith questioned Valen.

Valen smiled in amusement, "no, I have great respect for the bow, and was quite proficient at it in my youth... but I prefer the blade now. Speaking of which, I need to upgrade it some more with the enchanter here... do you need to also?"

"I probably will need to before this fight starts." Kraith put his bow away and took out his sword and spun it around in his hand quickly. He turned to the enchanter and asked, "Can you do a level two lightning enchantment?"

"Yes, I can, will this be starting from scratch, or upgrading an existing enchantment?"
Valen asked for both of his existing enchantments to be maxed out. But since he could not afford that much he settled for Lvl 4 Life Drain.

"I already have a level one enchantment on my sword." Kraith gave it a little flick and a spark jumped toward him. He was used to these small sparks. "How much would it cost to get it maxed out?"

"All I have is 1000," Kraith sighed and gave his sword to him. "Make it a level four for 900." Kraith handed him the sword and waited for him to do his 'magic'. "I wish I could go on some missions to get some more money." Kraith looked around, but then realized he wouldn't be able to find anyone that had money to spare.

The enchanter was done rather quickly and handed Kraith his sword back. Valen then said, "I am sure once this is all over there will be much gold to be had. For now your weapon is powerful enough... although I am not sure how effective a bow will be against skeletons.... we could go check though, training yard?"
(and, you got the price right, but in the future I would like to state the transactions since I am like the ...dungeon master or whatever :/)
