In many years Trell has passed through this place without detection. and recently he has learned that someone is tracking him. (In a conversation at a bare, he learns that a vampire has been searching for him. But his informant forgot the name of the man and for what reason he was searching for Trell.) "I need to find out how this man is and do to him before he dose to me." He thanks his informant and leaves the bar. "What would someone possibly want with me. The only reason I can think of is to kill me for a wrongs I committed toward the humans. But not all vampires can be like Atronies and ignore the primal instinct to bite into a humans neck." He said to himself as he walked by a young woman. "Speaking of necks." He turns and calls to the woman."Oh mam, can you do me the honer of helping me."As the woman turned around she was filled with a sudden chill as she saw his fangs. Frozen with fear, she watches as Trell gets closer to her neck and bites down. When she passes out, Trell releases her to the ground. Then he takes off into a dark ally so not to be seen.

After laying low for a couple days, Trell decided to leave Quenelles and find the person looking for him. "I think I'll head through to plains first. I'll go southeast and see if he's already on his way to me." [exit to the Callahorn Plains.]

After passing through a encampment on a battle field and traveling several more miles they finally reached there destination. As she looked around the city she noticed mostly soldiers. "What is my crime!" She demanded the soldiers answered. "What did i do to the Brittanian forces to be imprisoned?"But they did not answer her and she gave up on asking them any more. They arrived at a fortress. Once inside they through her into a prison cell that filled with light so that she could not use her vanpiric abilities. And there she waits in silence for someone to find her. If help ever comes.

(The fortress would be the ancient keep Quenelles Castle, full of Knights and a Baron, should be fun breaking in)
It took them several days of easy walking across the Callahorn Plains to reach Quenelles. They passed many knights, returning home now that the war was over, over at least for the time being that is. But for the most part they avoided these bands of knights, not wanting to draw attention to their strange group.
When they reached the city it was fully decorated to receive the knights that had gone to war. It hauntingly reminded Valen of days passed to see very similar banners that had once welcomed him home.
"Hmm, this is a quaint little city," Tira said. And indeed it was. The homes were humble and nice looking. Everyone was very polite and very cheery, especially with the return of their brave sons from war.
The group did receive some strange looks and a few pointed and whispered to each other upon seeing the color of Ikzer's skin. A middle aged man was sweeping dirt out of a store and when he saw the party he ran off some where. The people in this town were too far inland to fear raids from Drow and most had never even seen a Drow in their entire lives. They were worried, but mostly just surprised at seeing Ikzer.
***
Hilde's eyes were closed as she held her blade up before her. She took several deep breaths as she calmed herself, preparing for the attack she was about to launch. And then all of a sudden she launched a furious series of jabs and slashes at the straw dummy that she used for practice when her instructor was out of town or busy.
"Lady Krone! Lady Krone!"
The shouts broke her concentration and she turned to see who it was. It was her father's former squire, William.
"Good day William, how can I help you today?" she was too busy to want to help him, but she would if he needed it.
He stopped in front of her, and although he had run quite a ways he had not even broke a sweat. "Lady Krone, he's here!"
"Who is here?"
"The man who killed your father, Valen Gray, he has just entered the city."
Her eyes widened in horror, shock, and eagerness. She grabbed the small man by the shoulders and asked, "are you sure? Are you sure it is him?"
"Most definitely my lady, I would not forget that face, and he wears the same blood red armor, cloak, and sword."
She nodded, "thank you." She then grabbed up her weapons and headed inside.
"Do you truly intend to fight him today?"
She stopped and turned and stared at him with a hint of anger. "Yes, on this day Valen Gray shall die." Then she ran back into her house to prepare to avenge her father.
The squire smiled happily to himself and strolled away back into town. As he walked down a back alley way he was suddenly blinded by a beautiful light. Immediately he fell to his knees, "master, I am graced by your presence, and I have good news to tell you."
"I know, that is why I am here William," replied a cool man's voice.
"Then you know that Valen Gray is here."
"Yes, you have done well."
"And Lady Krone intends to kill him."
"Yes."
"Well... um... since all has now come to pass as you said perhaps you wouldn't mind.... giving me my reward now?"
The beautiful man in white chuckled, "now? Are you sure?"
"Yes please, my master."
"Very well," the man waved his hand before William.
William opened his mouth to thank him but he found that no voice came out. He stared up at the man in horror, he tried reaching for him but he saw that his hand was disintegrating.
"You have served your purpose William, and so now I feel it is time you returned home with me, to the Underworld. You will have no need of your body when we are there. There you will have all of the succubi you could ever want, but in return you need to die... again. But at least this time you get to die at home right?" Dais smiled as he watched his servant writhe on the ground till he was nothing but dust. William had already been killed by Valen once, when he had also killed Hilde's father. It was too big a risk to let William live, if Valen saw him he might recognize him and begin to suspect something. When William was gone Dais was enveloped in a beautiful light again as he teleported away.
(Oh, and I don't know if I need to remind you, but Vampires try and pretend they are not Vampires... they don't want to be run out of every town they come into right?)

Ikzer looked aorund, he got looks liek he always did but these weren't looks of hate or horror, most were just curiousity. "Well this is nice and new." Unless they were getting ready to strangle him when others weren't looking for being diffrent, it wouldn't have been the first time people had tried to kill him.
Rae looked around and wasn't very impressed she wondered why they liked it that much. It might be nice to settle for a family or something she supposed but not a place for a dragon. Didn't look like it would hold much treasure. "Is this where your from?"

"Yes.... this is my home of Quenelles. I was once a Knight of Brettonia you see," Valen said.
Tira could tell that Valen wasn't exactly bouncing with joy at being home, so she kept her exuberance to a minimal. "Sooooo.... where are we going to go here?"
Valen honestly didn't know, he just... wanted to see his home again. "I am not sure, perhaps just walk around and see things."
(Oh, one more description, this is like the classic, medieval, king arthur, village/city)

Trell, being here before he met up with the others, Knew of a place they could stay. "I have a place here were we can stay for a wile. That would give us time to rest, gather materials and goods for ourselves, and for me and Atronies to find some info on Vanessa, if any exists."
Atronies looked around for a black smith. When he spotted one he started toward it. "I'll be right back i need to get this sword reshaped and augmented." He pulled a peace of paper and two odd colored stones out of his pockets. One stone was a silver-blue color and the other was red. ((Atronies has dropped out of the group temporarily he'll be back in about two posts.))
Trell looked around for a bit after Atronies left and then looked at Valen. "So do you remember where you lived wile growing up here?"

Rae just gave a nod even though she didn't understand why he wasn't happy to be back home she knew when to stay quiet sometimes this seemed to be a time where she didn't need to comment much.
"Do they not get drows down here?" That was his assumption by the looks he got.

Valen smiled at Ikzer's question. "No, it is very likely that you are the first Drow to ever visit this city. And yes, I remember where I lived..." He pointed off in one direction, "my house when I was a child was over there, but I am sure it is gone now. And when I grew up I lived in the castle most of the time." Valen looked around and then said, "I am going to go look around for a bit." He then started walking through the town, just looking at it.
Tira looked at everyone else and said, "well... he didn't say 'not' to come," and she followed after him, but kept some space.

"Well then I'll go look for some info on Vanessa. I'll go to the Pub, I'll find you guys again soon." Trell told the others as he tuned down the next street.
As he arrived at the Pub he was greeted with a warm welcome back from the bartender. "I have a Question to ask you Mac."
"Shoot"
Before asking Trell looked around to see if anyone was paying attention. "What info, if any, came through here about a female vamp archer that recently arrived."
"About two or three days ago a soldier came in for a drink. He talked about a spy he caught at jade pass, said she was a vamp and she had a bow and some funny looking arrows. They brought her in for questioning."
"Anything else?"
"Nope, why you ask?"
"It's best you don"t know. And remember if any one asks..."
"You were never here."
"Exactly. thanks for the info Mac." Trell shook his hand and went on his way. ~~ Atronies, still at the black smith, was just finishing up melting down the gold sword and and the ore he had with him, and just started having the smith build his daggers. The silver-blue ore he had, has properties that magically sharpens the blades and whiten the gold up a bit. The red ore just altered the color to make it look blood stained. "Thanks for doing this, I'll give you what ever's left over and 50 gold peaces for your trouble." Atronies told the smith, who was more then happy because he would receive enough gold to make him at least 1200 gold peaces.
((If you want to see what they'll look like, I'll be done drawing tomorrow and will put then on my character Profile.))

Raetherstria nodded at Tira and stayed close to her mostly because she liked the elf.
Ikzer smiled,"Oh should be intresting then." It was a nice little town adn he could handle a place that didn't know drows for he didn't consider himself one at all.

They wandered for a bit until they stumbled upon the town cemetery. There Valen just stopped and stared. Then he walked into it and looked at the grave stones, a few of the names he even recognized, most of his friends he saw had lived to old age and that did comfort him some. But he was looking for one grave in particular. It took him awhile to find it. The stone was very old and covered in both dust and vines for it was long since forgotten. On it read: "Here lies the Baroness Daphne Catalonia Killed in cold blood by a traitor"
Valen forced back the tears that were swelling in his eyes. What made all this worse was how her grave was forgotten, no one knew her name now, just him. It was like it had never happened for the rest of the world, only his horrific memories of that night remained. Then out of nowhere a spear came flying at Valen, he had been so distracted with his thoughts that he barely had time to roll of out of the way, and when he did roll a night on horseback came riding at full speed and slashed at him, but once again Valen was able to dodge. The knight on horseback continued on and then turned around while Valen came to his feet and brought forth his sword. The knight had grabbed the spear as she rode by and now held it at the ready. Her armor bore the likeness of a wolf. She raised her visor and called out, "Valen Gray! You killed my father, Victor Von Krone. I challenge you to single combat to avenge his death. Prepare to defend yourself!"

As Trell came around to corner he was a little bit confused. As he walked up on the others he spoke. "Looks like I missed some fun, Whats going on?" He began to pull his knife and prepared to fight if the call rang.
Meanwhile Atronies was about a block away marveling over his new daggers as he herd the commotion. When he arrived Trell stopped him from joining Valen's fight. "Whats happening here? Who is she? And why aren't you guys helping?"
"I don't know yet, just settle down and wait for a bit." Trell said as he pushed Atronies back.

Rae was ready to defend herself from this person until she only challenge Valen. She paused a moment and looked at Valen as if asking if he wanted her to eat the chick. Of course Raetherstria as a dragon had only killed those on the battle field and a few stupid knights that had stumbled onto her lair if anyone challenged her to some stupid duel she would just eat them when they were talking.
Ikzer was just as confused he was going to look at the tomb stone Valen had been looking at before he found that getting to close was unsafe because of a random spear flying through the air.
