Moonfall City

Moonfall is a sprawling metropolice, at best that is still an understatment. With city after city within city, the majority that are born in Moonfall, die in Moonfall, without ever seeing outside its walls. Though with dozens districts bigger then most cities, to appease the urban goers - small farmland like areas to house those that wish the quiet - forests and nature that sprawls between the areas, so green and thick one could get lost in the beautiful foilage for weeks - are just a few of the things to be seen in Moonfall, so what would they be missing leaving?
There are only four ways into Moonfall: The North Gate (North), the South Gate (South), the Sunrise Gate (East), and the Sunset Gate (West). Walls, constructed by magic, sorround the entire city of Moonfall, it is said on a fast steed it would take the better part of a week to just cross from the south gate to the north gate. Though the smart would not walk it, when you can pass though a portal to another part of the town for a small fee.
In every district there is the Hall of Portals, which is a courtyard full empty stone archways, with a district name engraved in the keystone at the top. For a small fee one of the designated Travel Mages, will open the portal in the archway leading to the area you wish to go.
Becomming a Travel Mage, is considered to be one of the most prestegious jobs you can obtain. To quality you must have attended the Moonstone Accademy of Magic, and pass certain tests, none of which are easy. The safety and peace of Moonfall depends on the loyalty of the Travel Mages. If one was to be picked and commit an act of treason, he could bring a large army right to the gates of the Moonfall Palace. Needless to say only the best, brightest, and trustworthy are ever allowed the position.
At the very heart of Moonfall City, is the Moonfall Palace. Home to the royal family. It is set in the middle of a sprawling forest on a small mountain. Waterfalls spray thoughout the enormous palace which is build into and on the mountain in many tiers. It is considered to be the biggest pride and joy of Moonfall City, aside from the wall itself, and the spells that protect the city.
