Rant, rave and review movies old and new.
*Warning: If you don't want to read my angry rant, move away from the topic now!*
First rant: Twilight movie...
Not coming to my city... damn shitheads at the cineplex don't think that the movie has enough 'popularity'. In fact, most of the students in my vis com course, everyone at work, customers I deal with, and friends are talking about it! They want to PRE-ORDER tickets! I work in a BOOKSTORE where we sell the series and it flies off the shelves like Harry Potter! THERE IS TOO MUCH GODDAMN POPULARITY! WE'RE SELLING MOVIE PROMOTING PARAPHENALIA: KEYCHAINS, BOOKMARKS, JEWELRY, BUTTONS, SOUNDTRACKS, ETC. Well, TOO BAD NOW!
Damn... I WANT MY SMEXY VAMPIRE FIX, AND IF IT DOESN'T COME WITH BILL AS A VAMPIRE (wrapped in a shiny orange bow and sitting in front of my Christmas tree), THEN I WANT ROB PATTINSON AS ONE!
Makes me want to gather a mob of Twilight fans and storm down to the cineplex one night and demand to the manager that they're making a MASSIVE mistake!
The only other time I've felt like I've been stabbed in the heart is with the Harry Potter 6 release... which was SUPPOSED to be Nov. 21. Hmm... funny as that's the day the Twilight movie gets released. Oh, but not where I'm from! NO WAY IN HELL! Lethbridge and Calgary get it... (no I'm not travelling to see it... It'll make me more angry. I work the night of the release, and getting into final projects at that time too).
They just took my candy away... first no Potter this year (exception to Beedle the Bard) now no sexy vampires...
I will continue to check the cineplex website for information as to 'if' the film is being released at all.
November 21st is now labeled as a dark day in Reeny history (also the day I must panic to register for second semester classes).
I apologize if this is inappropriate or bothers any of you... I just needed to get it off my chest (for the second time today). Feel free to comment...
On a much happier note, I saw Madagascar 2 yesterday. It wasn't as good as the first, but definately worth seeing.
Zack and Miri Make A Porno is also good. Same goes for Sex Drive.
When these movies come to dvd I shall happily purchase them. Just like I purchased the Twilight soundtrack... damn cineplex jackasses!

Update to rant:
Cineplex's website now says that Twilight WILL show in my city. GOOD! So, I decided to send a little... message wanting clarification on the topic. Hopefully, I soon recieve a reply. Stupid corporate and local shitheads...
And now it hits me... I'm turning into my mother! Actually, compared to most people's feelings, it's not that bad.

There are probably millions of people who would disagree with you about it being 'crap'. I just need a vampire fix (only on page 85).
Plus then I can say that Cedric Diggory died, only to be reincarnated as a vampire named Edward Cullen. If he dies again then I can find another movie Robert Pattinson is in and say he got reincarnated again... and so on...
Speaking of vampires... I just bought Chibi Vampire 11... and Emma season 2, which you'll enjoy much more.

My friend's sister went to go see it at the opening and she didn't like it. She also confirmed a lot of the stuff I expected.

I liked it quite a bit, though I only got to page 85 of the book. I really want to finish it though.
Mr. Pattinson was my real motivation for going... seeing a ken doll as a shiny, young awkward Johnny Depp like character, as a vampire!
He's signed on for two more (so I've heard).
