'Knock if you value your life.'
The room lay untouched, other then by the gathering dust on the mantle and uncovered wooden surfaces.
High windows were set in the far wall, covered by thick drapes, lush green in hue. Golden runes were embroidered along the hems to give them a decorative touch. They were currently pulled back, allowing the pale moonlight to flood the ornate bedchamber with its serene glow. This room had a theme, cherry wood with the colors gold, emerald, and ebony. Hues that were perfect contrast when put together.
On either side of the windows stood two bookcases, made up of cherry wood and filled with countless unnamed leather backed volumes. It was obvious that the resident here would delight in extending knowledge. Oh wait....on closer inspection, the volumes would appear to be plays and scripts, something a woman of the arts would enjoy burying her nose in. Upon the bookshelves stood miniscule statues depicting some such plays...or just for looks. Along with the figures, candles littered the tops of the bookshelves.
Upon the walls, throughout the room, tapestries were hung. Some namely from the Roman era. Some with scenes of French art. All priceless to a collector. Near the entry, just to the right of it in fact, a wall mirror hung from secure fastenings. A mirror that a vain person would wish to see in their chamber so they could while away many hours gazing at their reflecting. A mirror that the not so attractive would wish to break on sight for it being a reminder of just what they were not blessed with.
Beside the mirror stood a cherry wood armoire. Decorative runes carved into the handle and doors, then polished to a shine. Below the doors, two drawers were set in with the same carvings as above. Upon opening, one would find a plethora of gowns and high styled garb not worn by the average lady. Shoes were placed into the drawers below. Beside the armoire a dresser with yet another mirror was placed. Jewelry, makeup, and perfume littered its surface along with frame pictures. In its drawers, shirts, pants, and undergarments could be found.
On the right side of the room stood her bed; a four poster, canopied king with drapes obscuring the comfortable matress from view. These curtains were a silken version of the ones hanging from the curtain rods on the windows. Same colors and hues, and the bedding matched as well.
A fireplace was built in across from the bed on the left hand wall, its mantle cluttered with candles. A door was just to its right, leading into the private bathroom. (will explain that room later in rp if necessary. Room set up is tedious.)
