sorry it's been so long. I've been preoccupied. Here's part four. We are back to Courtney's story.

Courtney slammed the door behind Drake as he walked out. After he left, Courtney ran off like a bullet up the stairs to her room. She burst through her door and started rummaging through her top drawer. Finally she found what she was looking for.
It was the wooden skull the Duncan have made and given her when she had to leave the island.
Tears welled up in Courtney's eyes, "Duncan, you couldn't have forgotten me." she said weakly, "I know you couldn't have."
Courtney laid down on her bed, the wooden skull carefully cradled in her hands, and gently cried herself to sleep.
*******************************
Early the next morning, she was awakened by the sound of music being played on the guitar. At first, she thought she left the T.V. on last night, but then she realized that it was coming from outside.
She rubbed her eyes, stretched her arms, and walked over to open her bed room window.
Outside, she saw the most stunning thing: It was Drake, playing his guitar outside on her front lawn. When Courtney and Drake eyes met, Drake started singing with his beautiful, hypnotizing voice:

Baby, can't you see
I miserable without you with me
The morning sun
Would not have come
If it couldn't touch your face

Baby, please don't cry
I'll be your man, I'll really try
I want to be true
To only you
Your presence makes any place a magical place

Then, as he continued playing his guitar, he spoke, "Courtney! I was a fool to break up with you. I love you and I want to be with you forever. Take me back?"
Courtney froze. She brought her head back into her room to think it over. On the one hand, she knew there was a good reason that she should refuse. She just couldn't think of it. On the other hand, what Drake was doing was really sincere and romantic. She felt there was a big knot in her stomach. There was something telling her not to do it. She thought about it for a while, then she looked out the window and saw him, his hair shining in the early morning sun, his smile, dashing and handsome, his eyes that were two clear pools of light blue, glistening in the dawn.
Courtney didn't know what she wanted to answer, but she suddenly found herself sticking her head out the window with a big smile on her face and shouting to him, "OF COURSE I'LL TAKE YOU BACK!!!"
Drake ended his song and shouted back,"Thanks babe! Wanna go out tonight?"
"Sure." she said back.
"Great! I'll pick you up at seven!"
"Okay, see you then." she pulled her head back in and closed her window. She was so confused. She had so many mixed feelings. On one hand, she was happy that she had a boy friend again, but she couldn't help but feel that something wasn't right. Drake had never sang outside her window before. Why did he try so hard to get her back? After about a minute of thought, she shook off the feeling and tried to enjoy the thought of getting back to the way things used to be.

But things would never be the way they used to be.
