___It all started when Itachi chose to side with the Uchiha clan in their coup de dat (sp?). One night the Uchiha clan attacked the village, killing over 2,000 villagers and ninja.
___Itachi regreted his desision and is trying to teach Sasuke the opposite of what the Clan is teaching. Itachi is also dieing from an unknown illness and he got the Mangekyo from killing fellow Leaf Ninja. The clan let some survivors go who didn't want to stay but they kept Naruto because of the Kyuubi. The only person he's friends with is Sasuke and Itachi.
___The survivors rebelled under Kakashi's leadership. They are still trying to take in new members and have been able to convince Wind and Mist to aid them. Gaara managed to get his head strait after talking to Kakashi and Iruka for almost a year. He's on his way to becomeing Kazekage now that his fater the 4th Kazekage is on his deathbed.
___Akatsuki are acting up and are rumored to be planning something wicked.
Those killed were:
~3rd Hokake (killed by Fugaku Uchiha), was unable to protect the village, along with the two Elders, Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane.
~Asuma, Kurinai, Izumo, and Kotetsu died trying to protect the village.
Ninja who survived and stayed:
~Tsunade stayed against her will. She is currently the head doctor at the hospital
~Naruto is currently being held in a cell. He only is allowed to come out when he's sparing with Sasuke, one of his only his friends, and Itachi, his other friend. He's not happy that he rarely gets ramen.
~Obito is actualy alive (in the guild), and disaprooves of what his clan did and is still doing. He constantly considers leaving and joining the Rebles but he doesn't know where Kakakshi is. He also feels for Naruto wanting to protect the village. He managed to sneak Naruto off several times to train with Jiraya (so Naruto DOES know the rasengan and kage bunshin-shadow clones)
~Kabuto is still under Sasori's control and is training under Tsunade.
The ninja who survived and left the village are:
~Kakashi who became the leader of the Leaf Rebels
~Iruka who's teaching in Suna's nina acadamy
~All surviving members of the Hyuuga clan is appart of the Leaf Rebels
~Team Ino-Shika-Cho and their parents are also apart of the Leaf Rebels.
~Gai is the Leaf Rebel's General and trainer. His student Lee follows his orders diligently.
~Orochimaru still an S-class Missing-nin and is still apart of Akatsuki
~The Inuzuka and Aburame clan are apart of the Leaf Rebels
~Sakura was taken in by Orochimaru after whitnessing her parents getting killed by two Uchiha members. She is apart of Akatsuki.
~Rin is also a Leaf Rebel General
~The Uchiha clan still won't let Madara come back and regain control. He' mad about it and desided to make Akatsuki.
~Anko joined the Leaf Rebels after wandering around for two years.
~Jiraiya is wandering around the courntry side, researching. He doesn't know where Tsunade is, though, since he hasnt seen her in years.
~Genma's wherabouts are unkonw, but he is still alive.
~Ebisu is with the Leaf Rebels and is still an interagator.
~Danzo was suposidly killed by Itachi for trying to harm Sasuke during the Konoha Massacre, but several members of ANBU root have been spotted everynow and then. Therefor he may still be alive.
~Konohamaru is weith the rebels, training under Ebisu, allong with his two teammates
~Ebisu joined the rebels and is a sensei to Konohamaru, Moiji, and the foureyed kid who's name escapes me.
