I'm surprised no one has created a thread for this yet. Well it's about time one got started. Who do you think will be or want to be the main villain in the next Batman movie? There are a lot of rumors flying around that it's going to be Johnny Depp as the Riddler. I would love it if this was true! The Riddler is one of my favorite Batman villains and Johnny Depp is a terrific actor for the part! However, a lot of people are speculating that he'd be too similar to the Joker. Who do you think it will be?

Considering how badly the Riddler was portrayed in That-Horrible-Batman-Movie-Whose-Name-I-Refuse-to-Remember, I'm very worried.

Well, you certainly can't get a worse ANYTHING than Jim Carrey (except maybe Tom Cruise or John Travolta) although I have trouble picturing Johnny Depp as the Riddler. I've heard someone suggest that David Tenant might make a decent Riddler and I agree-- he has just the right amount of quirkiness to pull it off. 3nodding

I just think of all the Batman villians, the Riddler is very easy to overdo.

And the Joker isn't? No, these guys know what they're doing. Whatever villain they choose, Lulu is sure it'll turn out well. But personally, she's rooting for a female villain this time around. Catwoman or Poison Ivy would be perfect! Catwoman especially. She's a fantastic villain and she causes a lot of inner-conflict with Batman that'll make for a good storyline. Particularly now that Rachel (the love intrest) is out of the picture. And Lulu's just gotta say, shacking up with Bruce Wayne was a brilliant career move for Catwoman! whee

Yes, she's a great villian. But look what Halle Berry and Michelle Pfiffer did to the role. *sigh* Gonna need a good script to redeem that.

Lulu disagrees completely! gonk Halle Berry was the only good thing about that movie! It was the writers and directors fault, not hers!

Mekanikal_Pankake Lulu disagrees completely! gonk Halle Berry was the only good thing about that movie! It was the writers and directors fault, not hers! Could be. All I can say is if they do have Catwoman again, they'd better do her up with style-- slick, sensual, but not over-the-top. And no weird, random rips/stitches/etc. in her costume that serve no purpose and just make her look silly, in my opinion. I'm hoping they'd give her a more "practical" look, something sexy yet still believable as real cat burglar attire, like this: Anyway, that being said, the turmoil Catwoman might cause in poor Brucey's head could be quite good if handled properly, yes. Particularly since he's been kinda tipped towards the "dark side" slightly in this last film. And with her around, he'd be even more tempted, heh heh. Just think of the possibilities. xd

Actually, that costume is based on what she was (dunno if still is) wearing in the comics for a while, when Selena felt the need to reinvent herself.
No random rips!!!!

I've never read any of the newer comics (meaning anything written after 1970) so I didn't know that. Huzzah for them actually giving her a more snazzy look!! blaugh

I wasn't too fond of the costume in the comics myself, though in that photo it looks much better.

Zephyr would like to see a Mad-Hatter and Scarecrow Team-up! Mad Hatter should be (once again) played by Martin Short! Or at least, she thinks that's the one that played the Mad Hatter in the Hallmark version of Alice in Wonderland. Pluss, Zephyr likes Martin Short...

Martin Short would be the perfect Mad Hatter, there's no doubting that. Personally, I'd like to see Riddler and either Mad Hatter or a ressurrected Ra's al Ghul. Anyone who's familiar with the comic book Ra's knows that he's been brought back numerous times, several of them before he ever meets Batman. If they can find a body, they can ressurect him. Or even if they can't find a body, they could always use that as an excuse to introduce Talia, Ra's al Ghul's daughter.
And as for the inevitable Joker replacement, I vote for ME! HAHAHAHAHAHAHEHEHEHEHEEHEEHEEHOHOHAHA!
