Along the cliff wall, were you to follow it away from the cove a ways, you would come across a little indentation in the otherwise sheer cliff face. And in this indentation is a fairly straight mulberry tree, it’s branches brushing along the sides of the indentation, as if the cliff has wrapped itself around the little berry-bearing tree to protect it.

Were you then to climb this tree, to a height of about 20 or 30 feet, and happen to climb out to the end of a branch that looks like a thick braid, then part the leaves, you may be surprised to find a tall, narrow crack in the wall of the cliff face.

The “hallway” runs about 3 feet in before it curves to the left, back toward the cove. After another 3 feet, the entranceway opens into a much larger cavern, one with a high ceiling, and ample space for several elves to lay down. Along the deepest edges of the cave it’s dark, very dark, so it’s hard to tell if there are any other openings into other cavernous rooms.

The bulk of the room has been swept and is partially covered with grass mats, nothing too fancy just yet. Along the part of the cave wall are various bundles and mats and baskets, one with some orange fur and what appears to be some sort of thread-forming spindle. Also near the entranceway is a small hole in the wall that holds the cocoons of several sleeping silkworms.

Along a different wall in the cave is a small fire-pit and a small pile of damp branches and bits of wood. It is obvious that the warm, dry area immediately around the pile of lazy ash and coals is a favorite for those that dwell, at least temporarily, in this cave.

Over the course of the night the rain seems to have abated, and at the first light of day has seemed to stop completely. It is still quite overcast outside, and the air is still moist, as though at any moment the rain could begin anew, but for the moment, the wailing weather is at peace.

(This room is for the continuation of the Hurricane Pini plot - DAY 3!)

By this third day Dancer was showing signs of being bipolar. If she wasn't excessively happy she was excessively sad. When she woke on the third day she rubbed her eyes and the first thing she saw was the little basket with orange fur in it. She moved closer and picked up the fur. Ever so softly she rubbed it against her cheek. Her eyes welled as she placed it back then turned to the cave entrance. She had enough of these tight quarters and was going to find her fuzzy friend. Without a word to anyone she slipped out and started off down the tree and made her way to the forest.

Blaze looked up from a peice of sun-dried fish he was chewing at, without doing much damage. It had dried stiff as wood. Dancer's rubbing of the fur on her cheek and distraught expression caught his interest, and her sudden departure only intensified it. Rocking to his feet, he slipped on his hat and did his best to slip out unnoticed, lowering himself carefully over the ledge and dropping to the sand below. Following her footprints in the rain-smoothed beach, he soon caught up with her close enough to be seen, if she was not too distracted to look. He kept silent, waiting for her to speak or send first. The rain pattered off his hat and shoulders, a thin stream flowing from the forward point; pulled low against the weather.

Dancer noticed Blaze and frowned. Of all the elves to notice her leaving why did it have to be Blaze? It made her growl softly to herself. No she hadn't forgotten at all what happened and the pain she felt hadn't left her mind. Sharply she turned to him and said flatly, "Go away. I don't need you to help me." It hurt her to say it and she turned back to walking so she didn't have to face him. She had her doubts it would phase Blaze at all. Then like an arrow released she darted off into the forest. He could try to keep up with her but once in the trees she knew it would be hard for the desert born elf to follow her.

Blaze made no attempt to catch up with her, brushing quietly through the ferns and bushes beneath the deep shade of the tree canopy. The rainwater dripping and flowing from every surface would normally have caused him the highest displeasure, but he merely pulled his tunic a little tighter and carried on, walking after the general direction she had taken. It would take the cat-elf long enough to get out of sending range. **And neither did I need your help. That did not stop you from trying. Neither will it stop me. Besides, unless you can tell me those same words in a send, I do not beleive you.** The ppatter of drips held more emotion than his words; he was simply stating a fact.

Dancer almost fell when Blaze sent. She was able to catch herself though with a gasp. She didn't want that again. Blaze's send was heard but quickly pushed out. She tried hard to block him from her mind but knew she wasn't strong enough to keep up a shield for long if at all. She moved to the ground again. The rain fell in fat drops off the leaves and even if it wasn't really raining anymore she still got good and wet from vegetation. Now she tromped on. She wanted to send to Blaze and tell him to never touch her mind again. She wanted to give him all the pain he sent through her and tell him to never bother with her again but knew her mind wouldn't let that pass as more then a thought. She felt betrayed by him somehow. A trust misplaced. Her heart at the moment hurt more then her body did on that night. So she settled for ignoring him and saying nothing.

The fireshaper bristled slightly as the door was slammed in his face, and he thought of breaking it down, untill the fruitlesnes of the act dawned opon him. Instead, he let her have her silence for a while, making no move to try to send again. The cold cut into him, and he shivered slightly.

After a few moments, or perhaps they were hours, Blaze broke the silence again. The rain and the quiet had torn his facade of aloofness down. **I am so very sorry I hurt you. I was afraid of hurting you, and I only hurt you worse. It hurts me now, too. It hurts like dying.** His send almost carried tears to it; his own mind completley open to hers at the lowest level. He held no hope there, only a quiet, dark pool of sadness.

Savith had woken earlier, but didn't move as he saw Dancer then Blaze leave the cave. He frowned at it until the fact that there was silence pulled him up into the air. He drifted out after them, eyes on the sky. It was thus that caused him to missed Dancer's near fall. The sky seemed clear, the wind mercily still after the torrent. He took in a deep breath, feeling the freedom of a still day allowing him to just drift higher into the sky where a hint of a breeze could pull at him gently.

**don't roam too far,** he sent down to the two below him with a hint of concern underlying the relief of being out int he air again.

Dancer heard Savith first. His send was noted but if it took minutes, hours or days she would not come back until she had seen Fire Bright again. Her tiger was her strength and she felt almost like part of her was missing without him. Then came Blaze's send. It stopped her in her tracks. Dropping to her knees she sobbed. Her face in her hands as she did so. *You let me fall Blaze. I held out my hand to you and you dropped me. It hurts on the ground.* The image of their talk the night of the party flashed through the send. When she warned him not to drop Savith and that was why he held back. The pain of his actions came along with. Then his own words as he barked at Autumn about her lack of skill. He had no faith in her. The seed of fear had been planted the night he raked her mind and his comment watered it to help it grow. Still she knew his words were true. Her heart wanted to forgive him her head screamed don't do it. Still she left her mind open now. To hear anything more he might want or need to say as she cried.

(This is now moved to the woods thanks.)

Peyote yells finally and sits up. "Oh," she exclaims loudly, as she realizes the sound of the rain has stopped. She pushes herself to her feet and scuttles tot he entrance, to cheer brightly. "THe rain's stopped!!" She turns back to the cave and cups her hands about her mouth, "Everyone! The rain is stopped!" mrgreen

Autumns joy

If sleep had found Autumn it was lost in one unsending yell. The wolf rider sat straight up and looked around with a mental growl that showed clearly on her face. The well toned form tense and ready for action but quickly calmed when she saw it was only the one called Pey. Autumn made a grumpy little face then looked outside. It had stopped raining and she was next out the cave. Wanting to sort out the things that were said to her the night before. As she moved past Pey Autumn smiled bit then tugged playfully on Pey's hair. The smile on Autumns face getting a little wider. Autumn couldn't greet her how she would have liked so a touch or something would have to do between them.

Peyote smiled at Autumn as she drew near, and turned with her as she moved to go out of the cave. "What a wonderful morning," she began, tone light and airy, only for a squeak to erupt as a lock was tugged when she wasn't expecting it. "Ai! What in the-? Zwootdung, what's wrong with you," she asked tersely, a frown coming to her features quickly as her hands drew up to stroke the offended bit of hair back into place. "Haven't said word one and you pull my hair? What a mean little sandflea you are!"

Autumns joy

All the fuss stopped Autumn at the door and she turned to look at Pey. If she could only laugh she would have. Still Autumns face showed good humor as she drew near the dark elfess. The way Autumn stared at her Pey might get the feeling of being a rabbit that is stared at by a fox. The emerald green eyes watching every little movement Pey made or didn't make. Then Autumn lifted a hand to her throat and tapped it. With a shrug of her shoulders she opened her mouth a bit. All that came out were a few gurgly noises but nothing more. Then she lightly tapped Peys forehead as she shook her own head. The hand moved to her own mouth as she shook her head again. Then waited to see what the send deaf beauty might say.
