Hello. I realize we all feel tired and lonely at times, or just like the fire of God has just been diminished... so we feel like there's not much hope. I've felt like that a lot lately, and I'm wondering if there's anything I should be doing, or not doing. I'm still very young in my faith, and I'd like to know if there's anything I can be doing now....

One thing I have discovered with this is that we should never give up hope, no matter what is going on. If you look at the Psalms you find a lot of prayers that you can look at to help you with this. I also suggest that you keep in regular fellowship with believers, how ever you can. They can lift you up in ways that may not be possible otherwise. Reading the bible, praying and spending time with God are very important too. You really need to be doing all of these things to keep a healthy relationship with God, if you leave out some its like just eating food, but not water, or the other way around.

*nods* I'm always telling others the same. It's hard. I'm not very old as a Christian, and it's really hard to make sure I get the fellowship I need.

Anytime someone says 'hope is running out'; that is not from God. In God we Hope all things.

We know that God is in control of everything. God is bigger than anything that might be troubling us, even the whole world.

I wasn't going to share any of my witnesses here because I don't find the ridged right conservatives very open to anything.

However I will share this with you: God is very near and He listens to our prayers. Big and small. Prayer is a very powerful thing. Perhaps the most powerful thing a Christian can do.

I know sometimes it seems like we're just casting our prayers out into a vast, cold and uncaring universe; but we are not. He is right here. He is listening to you and to me. Why? I don't know. What am I to Him that He should listen to me? And yet He does.

God's love is so big, God is so big that He knows you in a way that no other can, and He knows me similarly--and every single human being who has ever or will ever live. He knows, intimately, uniquely. And each one of us has a unique 'note' to sing in His choir. No one else can sing exactly your note, or my note, or anyone elses note.

God loves us all, not just the fat cat on wall street, not just the farmer in his field, not just the middle class family of four with the house and white picket fence and 2.5 dogs, but also the frightened single mother and the homeless vet on the overpass with nothing but the clothes on his back. God loves everyone, wholly, completely, and unreservedly.

God wants everyone to turn to him. God doesn't want to have to pour out His wrath on anyone. Truth is that He will have to one day, but that is not in His way of thinking, the ideal situation. The ideal situation would be for everyone to turn to Him.

And yet He loves us so much that, even though He could make the choice for us, He does not. He loves us enough to permit us to reject Him. That is real power. Power that is confident, not controlling. Power that is secure, not insecure. Power that is all encompassing, that does not need to prove itself.

No one knows when the end times will be. The Bible itself warns us against spectulating on the time, it only tells us to be ready at all times. Do not despair, that comes not from God. Hope, Love, Peace that passes understanding, those come from God. *hugs* Have faith in our God. He is big enough for anything.
