Communism is not a joke. And it is not something like your MP3 player. Communism is not something making you cool. Communism won't give you popularity.Communism is not a toy.
Communism is not something for you to show off. Communism won't give you social status like being an elite. Communism won't give you wealth but love. Being a communist is not about being hero. You don't have to be a hero to be a true communist .Please take Communism serious. If you can't do any thing good to the world or you don't have the desire to love the world. Please leave. Communism is serious business. I hate to see the so -called communists being here praising themselves. What they actually did? Do they actually give the world love even it was only a small help? How much you contributed? I don't want to tell you what I did cause it is my mission , my duty. It is nothing to praise about. I want to be humble cause I want to give. I don't need any of your recognitions. I know I did my parts and I am pleased.

I smell emotionalism.

Steven, can you be like Lenin or Karl Marx ? Can you do something great to the world? How much you contribute to the party? My grandpa was a hero. He put his life and time in the Chinese Communist Party.

Again emotionalism is not communist, intellectualism is. If you want emotionalism then fascism is where its at.

Ive run in severaly petty bourgeois elections, have become a town meeting rep under our Town Charter and Town Meeting Time. I have run for other seats and have failed but I continue.

Was your grandfather a Maoist or a Xiaopinist?

Also while you spew "love" all over your statement while bringing down other comrades, what have you done? What legistlation have you passed? People you've gathered? Seriously I could care less about your accomplisments which you have listed none of but to spew needless garbage about others and then claim " I know I did my parts and I am pleased" is egotistical even machavellian.

I will never give this world "love" because as Plato states emotions destroy reason. Reason is what the world needs and communist ideology will bring that to them.

Also what do we need to do? Our governments are already Nationalizing banks at a rapid scale which has the potiential to creating a centralized banking system. Bourgeois themselves are doing more then any communist party has done in over what almost 2 decades since the collapse of the Soviet Union when it comes to spreading communist ideals.

Im an artist so I try to spread messages through that, I'd like to be more active politically, but hence the arts manage to eat up all my time

How much have I given? I don't have a dime to give. I hand out flyers, I organize meetings, ect. Tomorrow night, for example, I'm going to be outside the Barack Obama ralley in Downtown Chicago (doing so independently) handing out a variety of nifty papers and printouts.

I've also started production on some animated communist Propaganda.

Also, I don't see the problem with these emotional sentiments in general. I do have a problem that the emotionalism is what is trying to drive the message here.

And I do agree there is a problem who fall into a leftist trend who don't understand what the pin they are wearing is all about..... It just makes them feel as if they are part of something unique.. And will leave once they learn exactly what they claim they are supporting.

I had a friend who carried "The Communist Manifesto" everywhere he went.

He never read it.

Nice dude! I want to def see the animated propaganda!

And yes I get her sentiments, but it would seem that she is bashing online organization which is all said in good.. the debate over armchair and activists is a very good point.. and then the ones who dont know anything and want to belong like you and her claimed. I just view it as more of a bashing of online/armchair vs activists.. and believe me ive seen some rather well... not too "socially conscious" ..activists.

Che Shirts are the worst thing Ive ever seen...c.c
and the profits dont even go to a party..c.c

My favorite ever... was when this guy tried to debate me in Marxism.. and He wanted a "very serious debate." So I asked him " what do you think of dialectical matieralist marxists over historical materialist marxists?" *SWING!*

( He started it and basically was bashing me the entire time so I got that one in and he stopped talking when he answered it.. and I said it was a trick question)

There is nothing wrong with having emotion, Soviet. If anything, Communism is borne out of love of others and fascism is born out of a cold lack of feeling for your fellow humans.

Anyways, as to the actual topic--I myself am, in my opinion, doing a lot and am very serious about Communism, despite what at least one of my comrades has said about me.

My fiance, myself, and several friends both online and in real life are working on and WILL see an anarcho-communist commune within the next 2-5 yars in Iowa. If anyone's interested in joining us, let me know.

Beyond that I have come out to my mom and joined the CPUSA, though I don't really agree with them all that much but want to spread both my ideas and make the general communist ideal stronger.

I've been speaking to friends, family, people on the internet, etc. While my fiance has always had the same ideas as I he's fairly anti-social and un-emotional and very cynical when it comes to social issues and changing how the world works but slowly he is gaining more faith and passion in the world. Several friends in real life I am slowly showing the light to, and am bringing at least one to a PWW fundraiser on the fifth, can't wait!

I'm a huge advocate of peaceful revolution, changing the world by changing minds and lives. I'm a rather socially awkward person and to be honest a bit lazy and will likely never accomplish much of this on my own but I try. Communism means a lot to me.

Did I miss something? Is it the "in" thing to be a communist nowadays? Sorry I didn't get the memo.

Lol. I've actually heard people accuse me of just trying to be cool because of that. razz

It's more a problem with anarchism though. Inside and out people just don't understand what it is. But communism doesn't really suffer from people trying to be cool as far as I've seen, just a few overzealous people who get caught up in petty things like character and culture worship and forget the actual basics of communism.

Poison the Dreamer

Emotionalism leads to Fascism. Nationalism is emotionalism and humanism is petty bourgeois mindset. People are limited no matter what economic/social structure they are put in, they cannot be w/e they want to be nor can attain there ideals (for they are un-attainable).

Emotionalism within communism brings about the personality cult which could actually be necessary in communist development depends upon what stance you take.

Fascism is the love of humanity, the love of ones country and people. Communism is none of those things, its to bring about Intellegence within a mass of idiots. That is simply what raising social consciousness is, it is not "LOVE" its intellectual based not emotional.

I dont agree with anarcho-communism in general nor would the CPUSA. CPUSA is highly Marxist-Leninist and disagree with alot of any other works besides Marx, Engles and Lenin unless of course we go to the pro stalin years.

It is only recently that they have become a party for democrates but the hardcore ones within CPUSA are definitly constantly fighting the petty bourgeois elements that plague CPUSA and the nut jobs of RCP.
