I come from a Communist family. My grandfather used to work for the Chinese Communist Government. He battled with the Japanese in WWII in Indonesia. My parents once told me about my grandfather. My grandfather escraped to Indonesia cause he knew what would happen before the Cultural Revolution. However , he loved his party alot. It was such a tragedy that the party was about political struggles. They forgot about the people' needs, and unity of the nation. Chairman Mao was only after power. The slogan " Serving the people!" was meant nothing. Now my grandpa is no long alived. I wish to see the good changes in the China government, I hope to restore the slogan. When I say " Serving the people" , I mean it. I always worry about my fellow comrades. We are not screwed up. We just need some adjustments to make Communism better. I just want to carry one what Karl Marx had shown the world. Can we be selfless and strong enough to love the world? I know we missed and lost once but it is our choice to show the world our love to the people. Being communist is not about gaining power but helping people in the time of hardship.

I agree. There is too much focus on "old" Communism. Too much focus on old ideals like the state and too much focus on old thinkers. Communism needs to grow and evolve, and move away from the petty political struggles that turned it into the opposite of communism in so many countries.

What/who are "old Thinkers"?

How do you define an old thinker from a New thinker?

Kim Jong Il still writes books infact I have his "on the Juche idea" does that make Kim Jong il a new thinker or a old thinker?

So Kim Jong-Il, Chavez, Castro, Prachada (sp), Cyprus, JCP, Sam Web??

BOB ALKAVIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I see your point its just some modern Theory s dont match up with there predecessors in language or ideas.

Try to think of it as the remake of "The day the earth stood still" in comparison to the original, you know the remake is going to be unintellegent, special effects up the a** movie.

Some New thinkers... just suck.

Although I do like some Futuristic theories such as nano socialism.

I say we forget the new thinkers and go all the way back to Karl Marx. Maybe a bit of Lenin here and there, a dash of Trotsky if you must..... Maybe a bit of Bill Haywood for some variety.

I get them through either North Korea itself (get them shipped from China to Canada to the United States) Or through bookstores especailly for older stuff. I found a copy of 1960s Korean Workers party (NorthKorea) congress which you know its Pre Juche

Maybe this is our problem... we're focusing too much on the question of 'who are the thinkers' when it is WE who should be the thinkers. It's our ******** generation, our life, our times... and we need to have ideas about them. We're not living in the Industrial Revolution, we're not living in Soviet Russia, we're not living in North Korea... we're living here and now, and nobody's going to change the world for us.
