Down a small wooded path behind the mansion there is a beach as we are a few miles from the ocean.

*Cerano observed the shore, the ever eternal sea whisping to and fro. He found solace in this place; a feeling he didn't often have the priviledge to experience in too many other locations. The salty air was almost soothing in its foreign scent. He looked back to his entourage behind him huddled around the carriage; They didn't look as if they shared his perspective on the place. They were on constant duty, so Cerano wouldn't antagonize them for their steadfast responsibility*

Eve's fingers ran through the damp sand as she knelt down in her pretty white sun dress and white slippers. She sniffed in a bit as the sea breeze let her long sandy blonde hair flow freely. Slightly wavy with a frizzed like essence, her whole persona seemed to change. She seemed more attuned to nature, in looks and actions.

Resting a foot in a sand divot she stared out into the sea, hand at eyes to shade from the sun as she waited for a non existent being to come and save her from this abandoned fortress...

And yet...

As the sun glistened amongst the waves, a small dinghy came into view on the horizon, slowly meandering its way towards the shore. Upon first glance, the tiny craft seemed to be empty, but closer inspection brought other ideas into light. A small, bedraggled white cat peeked over the bow of the craft, meowing pitifully. Its fur was slightly matted from the salty spray, clearly the poor animal had been out there for some time.

The cat shifted its weight on its front paws, and, on noticing the young woman on the shore, began meowing all the louder. It paced back and forth, and finally, making a decision, leaped into the sea, paddling frantically towards the shore. A wave rolled over the little feline's head, but it popped back up again, continuing its frantic effort to reach human contact.

Fingers played along white long stemmed lilies as Eve fiddled with the bouquet until she successfully made a white lily crown. Placing it atop her head and pulling down slightly, she fitted it perfectly, now a picture perfect beauty.

Eyes veered to the waters as she heard straggled cat calls, wondering what it could be. She thought it was something, yet she saw nothing at all...until...

There it was! A cat! A white one! She gasped as she ran to the shore immediately. "COME ON!" She would yell. "YOU CAN MAKE IT!" She could cheer.
Watching the creature grow tired made Eve worry, and in a daring response she shed her white slippers and ran into the water to meet the cat the rest of the way. Water at waist height, she finally grabbed hold of the creature. "Easy, easy!" She would let out as she'd run back onto the shore, holding the white cat tightly.

Slipping her slippers on and pulling the backs of them over her heels, she would now hold it close as she paced. "Easy there..." A tender voice like honey would soothingly let out, fingers tracing pets along the cat's head.

The sun would be the source of warmth, as well as her body.

Being scooped out of the water, the cat paddled the air a few moments due to a mild delirium, but as soon as the realization hit along with the sand, the cat began purring. Nestled in the body warmth of the human female, the feline gave a minuscule sigh, resting a bit before worming its way out of the girls arms to methodically groom its fur. Eleven minutes later, the cat's fur had roughly the same texture and gloss of mink fur.

Eve watched with a protective gaze as she enjoyed the elaborate example of feline grooming. She wrung out her dress on the sand as much as she could, and would let the sun dry it on her as she would pace around, watching back to the cat with ease.

When she felt the light dampness of her dress instead of the heavy soak from before, and saw the feline had finished its cleansing, she walked to the creature and crouched down, reaching out a hand and petting lightly. "Hey there little fella..." she let out as she smiled.

Her light skin showed signs of sun damage, shoulders a light pink.
"Its not good to be here. Maybe we can leave together sometime." She let out slightly.

Little did the cat know that Eve was far in her own delirium to realize this cat was even real. She thought she was hallucinating. The most sad part of it all is that she enjoyed it, for now she had 'company' after being alone for almost a year.

"We can escape and go far and wide!" She let out in that honey sweet voice, which seemed to roll of the tongue in a smooth fashion. A hint of accent was placed on her vocals, yet it wasn't harsh, but petite, feminine.
"We should go inside. It'll get bright, and I don't wanna get to burned." After that, she opened her arms to let the creature decide to either climb into her grasp or walk with her.

The cat gave a tiny meow, rubbing against the young lady, trotting a few paces in front of her tail in the air. It was now clear that this cat was female, as she pranced around in a circle, looking back at the girl as if to say 'Which way?'

Smiling gently she stared at the cat, nodding as she began to walk forward. "Down yonder!!!" She would let out mischievously as she danced around in twirls and skips back to the castle path.

The path was a bit more shaded than the open shore was. Dirt sand mixed path with trees that lined the way, flowers blooming now.

Spring was so beautiful here. It seemed to mask the dark dismal castle for the time being, until they rounded the corner.

A few animations brushed past. A plunger, another plunger. [Galv posted the 2 year update in every thread. We are co-aligned with Gaia's event. Galv's wicked into Zomg.]
They really payed no mind. Eve seemed to have gotten attuned with all creatures here.

She pet the kitty and then continued on their way, walking normally now. She feared the castle slightly. It was so nice out, did they really have to go in?

Reaching the doorway, she opened it and pointed inside. "Well...welcome home..."
