Take out aggression, hate and completely kill as many times you can the anime annoying character of Fumu.
What an annoying p***k. Totally ruined the show. I don't care if Sakurai had a major idea for her, she was executed horribly and should have been kicked out. Kirby doesn't need a "mother".

Oh come on now, she was not that bad. However, she seemed more annoying in the dub for some strange reason. It must have been the voice.
I found her to be ok. Sure she was annoying at some points but who isn't. Even Meta Knight can get on my nerves sometimes. No one is perfect.

Its all opinion though. Is it really right to make a hate character thread? I mean making a thread about liking a character is one thing but to just go out and bash a character is kinda rude. Especially if there are fans of the character here.
I am a bit of a fan of Fumu myself. Only a bit though. She can get pretty annoying at times but I have grown fond of her. However, if I had to listen to her English voice, then I would want her voice box ripped out.
Also, how can you hate so much one of the only people in the entire village that has some sense? I find the EXTREME naivety or stupidity to be more annoying then someone actually knowing what is going on. Unless of course, said person is bragging about how smart they are. Fumu does not do that though.
Fumu worked well in the anime in my opinion. However, that does not mean I want to see her in any Kirby game. She would not work well then.... Game and anime are separate! Think of them as two totally different worlds and just don't try to compare them too much.

I'm actually more angered that Rick, Coo and Kine are in the anime, and they are already set up AS Kirby's friends, yet get bit parts for Fumu to be ms. "state-the-obvious" for everything. She just has a character arc-type I REALLY hate, and for what else there was to offer, I don't see why so much time was devoted to her, she was totally useless in the last few episodes, and that was when real things started to happen.
To be fair, yea, this isn't the nicest of threads, but someone can change the title of it if they want, then discuss whatever.
As far as games and anime being separate, duh, I know that. But as a fan of Kirby ever since I started playing games, I wanted the anime to be, you know, MORE LIKE THE GAMES. It's like how, back in the late 80s, the fans of Ninja Turtles called the villains in the second TMNT movie, Tokar and Razaar, Beboop and Rocksteady, because they wanted the films to express MORE of what was in the cartoons and comics.
It's true that not many animes based on videogames are totally true to the games, but as far as things go, Kirby is the most UNLIKE the games of the videogame-based animes I know. At least all of the others have at least one arc or something extremely similar lasting for a long period of time related to the games.
Not even the monsters that appeared in most episodes had anything to do with the games, and that was a bit shameful.
And overall, I just see Fumu like Sonic X's Chris Thorndyke: "Wasn't in the games, and a pointless character to add. Does the main hero need to make some bond with this useless character?"

I hate Chris Thorndyke. He's like a sonic fanboy who wished to be in the series, and then got his wish granted. rolleyes (Lucky b*****d.)

....huh? Who the hell is Kirbystar26? O_o.... Person I was talking to was about a year younger than me, if that's who you're referring too. Then again, he also thinks Mithos Yggdrasil of Tales of Symphonia is one of the best and most developed villains ever, so I was just a bit enraged at his disposition in general. ....he also likes that weird plant-thing from Sonic X, "It gave Tails more character!"

Probably comes from me growing up and everyone pissing on my opinions, which are apparently very extreme. Like, there is probably one thing or more that I have an opinion of that would totally make a person want to rip my guts out. Not sure if that's what it means to HAVE an opinion, but really....
-Pokemon is a boat load of s**t and should go die off already
-Twilight Princess is the worst game ever made, shut the hell up about it already because it was ******** boring and lame
-Wind Waker is the best game Miyamoto made, and pissing on two minor things like graphics and sailing is like pissing on Citizen Kane because it was told only in flashbacks and Kane isn't alive at the end.
-Kirby is the best videogame character ever conceived, ******** off Mario, you suck balls
-Batman Begins isn't just over-rated, it's ******** boring and I never saw any appeal to that movie. The Burton films were better
-The third Pirates movie is the best because it actually has a s**t load of action and just treats the dramatics as comedy, which it should, since both Will and Elizabeth as characters together totally suck, Davy Jones is a better villain too, but Barbossa is cool
-Tales of Symphonia and Final Fantasy VII are the two most over-rated RPGs ever and should be burned, I own ToS too, and I say this. Mithos is a ******** horrible villain who is completely flawed and does NOTHING to help himself, Sephiroth is a ******** HALLUCINATION, and Cloud is an emo crybaby
-Kingdom Hearts II is better than the first, get over it. The Battle system made ******** SENSE now
-Naruto sucks. End of story. Don't even try to defend it, that just proves you'll read anything completely stupid and think it's good (Like Twilight!)
-I hate the Twilight Zone. It's creepy, it bugs me, and it gives me nightmares. That show ******** Geno
-Fumu is a useless character, just like Chris Thorndyke, and they add nothing to the overall plot other than to make pointless dramatic dialogue, which, actually sucks a**, I don't give a s**t to hear any of that crap
-Ironman did not live up to expectations, it was too bogged down by that annoying dramatic dialogue, I WATCH A MOVIE TO ESCAPE REALITY GOD DAMN IT
-We don't need realistic graphics for everything, so people who want everything to be brown, shut the hell up and look at a toilet, you're basically getting the same color for all your whining
-We don't need to "bring back" the classics, you need to ACCEPT how they have become today. Sonic Adventure 2 I find WAAAY more fun than any of the Megadrive games, sorry, but I do
-Lyrics in music mean nothing for the most part, if you can replace the lyrics with instrumentals and still get the melody perfectly of the song, it's the same thing, so it doesn't matter what ******** language you listen to music in
-Rap sucks, it's not music, it's random people just saying words to a repetitive five-minute beat
-Most of today's "gamers" are either ending High School or are in or past college, and companies for whatever reason decide they should appease this demographic. WHY? They probably won't be buying your games in about five years, you're setting yourself up for failure
-Poetry should be like an expressionist painting, it doesn't need to HAVE meaning, it just needs to capture the emotion of the time when written.

Maybe the anime would not have worked out so well if it was just like the game. Also, the changes in the anime made it new and interesting I guess. I fully enjoy both the anime and the games. It is odd for me to enjoy an anime that is so wrong in every way to the game....but the way the anime was done made up for that. I could go on and on about how it made a great anime but I am sure you have heard it all. As far as being close to the game...your right. It failed. However, that does not make it bad. (I know it doesn't make sense but....I can't explain it too well.)
True, some things did not sit well with me. I did not like seeing Dedede being as evil as he was in the anime. It was disappointing that Rick, Coo, and Kine didn't get much air time. I got sad when I never got to see a Simirror. I got even more upset that Meta Knight's mask never came off once! I can live with him not having his wings but I at least wanted to see the mask come off.
Nothing is perfect. We can't have everything we want.
Maybe I liked it so much because it felt so different from all the other animes I watched. It was silly yet still a bit serious. It always made me laugh and didn't have too much drama. (Especially lack of love drama. I love romantic relationships but if it is not done right then it can get annoying. Yes there was the Kine and Fumu episode but that was really funny to me. If I hear anyone try to suggest Meta Knight and Fumu though...I swear to god......)
Fumu is a great character but I would not go so far as to say she was the best character of the anime. That spot is for Kirby and Kirby only!
Chris was annoying due to his uselessness most of the time. I guess he was better in the last series but I hated the whole plot line so much that I couldn't really pay attention to Chris or anyone anymore. I just stopped watching it.

I only have a rebuttal to one of your statements, since, for the most part, you answered in a much more opinionated fashion than most, which I did enjoy.

But thing of his songs as that the majority are adding lyrics to pre-existing melodies. Anyone can do that (pray tell it might be crap). I've done that for quite a few videogame songs myself. He's also doing it for the act of parody, so if you were to take the lyrics out and just read them, it'd still be somewhat funny. The fact that he put them to a familiar tune is what entices the humor. But that also goes to say that not all humorous songs need lyrics to them. It is, just for the most part, that the overall tone of the song given by the instruments, not the voice or words, set the mood and emotion. For 98% of the time, this is the case. Mr. Yankovic (or how ever you spell it), is part of the 2% exception.
