Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham might be out of LA for two or three months on a loan to the rebuilding team of AC Milan.(That is, if the Galaxy and the MLS allow it). Will this shocking transfer happen?

I thought it was basically a done deal? If he does get loaned out, it is shitty for MLS. How does this help the league and MLS? All it does is feed Becks ego and shows that if you are a star, you can demand what you want

It is a done deal, and no it is not shitty for MLS. He will only be gone from January until the MLS season starts. He's not gonna miss ANY of the season because of this transfer. He's doing it because he doesn't like the amount of time that he's off between seasons; he used to only having 3 1/2 weeks during the summer off, and now he has like four or five months, and he doesn't like it. It's all been oked, and i repeat, he will NOT miss any of the season, it won't affect MLS at all, except that he misses training camp, but he's still working anyway so it's not like it matters.

It isn't shitty for MLS to loan out it's top paid player? Makes it look bush league. As for him missing or not missing any of the season, we'll see. I think there is more to the story than we know.

They aren't using him, and he needs something to do so why not? and he IS NOT going to miss the season, that's the one thing everyone's worried about, and they've reassured the public over and over that he WILL NOT miss any of the season. AC Milan does want to buy him, but they've already been told flat out NO. *EDIT* looking at my "My Yahoo," David Beckham will be missing at the beginning of the season, but only for international play, not on the loan. And Bruce Arena says that this short-term loan is a really good idea. Arena eyes Beckham loan as positive for Galaxy

It makes the league look bad loaning out the top paid player, that's why not. It is what it is. I hope that it is not lip service about him being back for the start of the season.

i mean im happy that he played here in the states but i think he should go to milan because well i just think he should. in my opinion i think he should actually go to manchester united but thats just my opinion.

AC Milan keeps saying how they want to keep Becks longer. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I think it is a wait and see. Becks might feel one way now and after his stint with AC Milan, he might feel different. It is a PR game from both sides right now until he comes back or leaves for good. It will be interesting to see how many more news stories we see as this all plays out
