Along the cliff wall, were you to follow it away from the cove a ways, you would come across a little indentation in the otherwise sheer cliff face. And in this indentation is a fairly straight mulberry tree, it’s branches brushing along the sides of the indentation, as if the cliff has wrapped itself around the little berry-bearing tree to protect it.
Were you then to climb this tree, to a height of about 20 or 30 feet, and happen to climb out to the end of a branch that looks like a thick braid, then part the leaves, you may be surprised to find a tall, narrow crack in the wall of the cliff face.
The “hallway” runs about 3 feet in before it curves to the left, back toward the cove. After another 3 feet, the entranceway opens into a much larger cavern, one with a high ceiling, and ample space for several elves to lay down. Along the deepest edges of the cave it’s dark, very dark, so it’s hard to tell if there are any other openings into other cavernous rooms.
The bulk of the room has been swept and is partially covered with grass mats, nothing too fancy just yet. Along the part of the cave wall are various bundles and mats and baskets, one with some orange fur and what appears to be some sort of thread-forming spindle. Also near the entranceway is a small hole in the wall that holds the cocoons of several sleeping silkworms.
Along a different wall in the cave is a small fire-pit and a small pile of damp branches and bits of wood. It is obvious that the warm, dry area immediately around the pile of lazy ash and coals is a favorite for those that dwell, at least temporarily, in this cave.
The hurricane still rages outside with the full force it had the day before, making no signs of letting up, the rain still streaking down and the wind still tearing relentlessly at the trees and ground.
(This room is for the continuation of the Hurricane Pini plot - DAY 2!)

Blaze grew aware of his surroundings gradualy, but didn't open his eyes for a long while, trying to figure out what had woken him. The air was cool against his face, and he snuggled weakly up against Peyote's sleeping form, loathe to leave the warm cocoon of blanket they shared. His face nestled in her black hair, he growled quietly to himself and cracked open an eye. A faint light shone in through the cave, and from the sound of it, the storm was still showing no signs of letting up. The only noise seemed to be the roar of wind and sporadic thunder, and it remind him momentarily of floodwaters. That he was warm and dry, and not out in that, put him in a good mood, and he smiled slightly, despite his haggard condition.
(Edited for weather. My bad.)

Dancer had fallen asleep early the night before. Her experience with Blaze rocked her past her own understanding. She had never felt such a send before and it made her uneasy. She sat quietly at the mouth of the cave looking out. Her back to everyone as she longed for the rain to stop. She sat there wondering about many things as the rain seemed to be endless in its pouring. The softest bit of a sigh might be heard from her if others were awake. A slender arm reached out to let the rain fall against her hand then she slurped the little puddle in her palm.

Peyote murmured pleasantly in her sleep as Blaze snuggled into her. It pulled her closer toward waking, and she rolled over onto her back from her side where she had been curled up with her back to his chest. Her honey-brown eyes opened as the other desert-born nuzzled into her hair, and the light smile blossomed fully. "Morning, sunshine," she whispered softly to him, twisting a bit to brush her nose on his chin. "Feeling better?"

Savith had fallen sleep in Dewpaw curled up against his chest, prompt up against the wall. Less that he'd fallen asleep, and more that he ended up blacking out from exhaustion. Finally sleeping, the wear on him was apparent. His eyes seemed sunken; his skin too pale for all the time he spends in the sun. The tiny scratches on his frame from the tiny bits of air-born derbis outside bled for a few more moments before crusting over into tiny scabs surrounded by angry red welts. As night turned into day, more than one bruise begun to darken under his skin, one on a shoulder here, another on his side there, another on his cheek. His right ankle, freed of his boots by Llune the previous night, was a nice shade of bluish blackish purple and swollen badly. On his left arm, midway between elbow and shoulder, is a nice star-shaped scar, well-healed and turns old. And well his breathing remained even and calm as one sleeping, his eyelids never fluttered and never twitched as Savith remained unconscious in a dreamless black haze of mental and physical exhaustion.

Arching an eyebrow sleepily, Blaze gently nuzzled Peyote back, enjoying the warm, honest affection she offered. "Well I last'd th' night; tha's got ta stand for somethin'. An' thanks fer sleepin' with me. Maybe do it again sometime, when I'm not so thrashed ta peices?" His voice had lost most of it's force, nothing more than a hoarce whisper, but he still managed a friendly and teasing tone. The free arm that he'd not been using as a pillow had become draped over Peyote as she rolled, and the fireshaper began to gently work the tangles out of her hair, as content as he'd been in a long time.

Creek had slept where he was leaning against the wall the previous night, and woke early, as he was used to doing. But as he was used to, he had expected to wake to the sounds of his tribe either packing to move on, preparing for a hunt or even just children running around. He didn't expect to wake in a cave filled with elves he didn't know. He almost jumped when he opened his eyes, confused and startled to see so many strangers, but memories from the previous night and days came flooding back. "oh" he muttered to himself, not quite sure what to do. He could hear the storm outside, but decided to check it out anyway, shocked to see one of the elfesses already there. He stepped closer to her sending as he did so as not to starle her *May I?* he asked gently.

Peyote giggles at Blaze's question, winking mischievously as she whispers back, "Any time. Any place." Her eyes trail after Creek as he makes his way toward the cave opening. She rolls again, this time to her tummy, giving Blaze full access to her hair as she does so. Propping her chin on her hands, she calls out a bright greeting to the plainsrunner, ending up talking right at the smae time he sends to Dancer, "Shade and Sweet Water!" Greeting given, she turns back to Blaze smiling. "And... you're welcome. You were very warm and made an excellent pillow!"

The send no matter how light still made Dancer flinch just the slightest. She turned her blue eyes to the new elf and smiled a bit with a silent nod. If he looked he might see her troubles but Dancer had a good many years learning how to smile through pain. She cast the slightest of glances over to the others seeing some were starting to stir. Then she looked back to the rain again. It seemed to fit her mood.

Blaze blinked the sleepines out of his eyes as Peyote raised her voice, the sound ringing in his ears. He watched the catelf and plainsrunner for a moment, and decided that he'd best let Dancer alone for the time being. Turning back to Peyote's hair, he picked a bit of a leaf from a tangle, and flicked it out onto the stone floor. "I won't forget that." He ran his fingers lazily down her back, finding the worst of the tangles. "An' you... You made an excellent-" He paused, trying to think of a word. "You kept me warm." Having had enough excitement for the morning, he rolled over onto his stomach next to her, his arm draped over her shoulders, and drifted back to sleep without much warning.

Creek sat down next to Dancer, but far enough away to give her space if she so desired it. He was new to the group only arriving last night. He couldn't even think of a name to go with the elfess before him. He sat in silence, not really minding. He was always a quiet one, although he was used to his sister making up for it. He crossed his legs and placed his hands in his lap, eyes staring outside, through the opening of the cave. He thought something may be wrong, that was why hecame to sit with the elfess, but he knew it wasn't his place to question.

Dewpaw blinked and rubbed her eyes, not quite sure when she had fallen asleep the previous night. She glanced around, seeing the new elf sit by Dancer and the rest curled up around the cave. She giggled wehn she caught sight of Peyote adn Blaze, although they were mostly hidden from her view. Dew started to move trying to push away from what she was leaning against when she realized that Savith's arms were still around her and she was curled against his chest. It was also then that she notived all of his bruises and scrapes, becoming oddly mesmerized with the star-shaped scar. She knew scars were wounds from the past, not the previous night. She became afraid of moving, not wanting to put pressure on any bruise or cause him any sort of pain. *Savith?* she sent, lightly touching his mind adn letting him know it was only her. She didn't press further, but decided to wait, to see if his mind was awake.

At Dewpaw's light mental brush, there's only the faint flicker of a mind unconscious in reply.
You've reached the Mind Mailbox of: "Savith, Head Chosen. I'm not here right now. Please, leave a message, and if My Lord thinks it's okay, I'll get back to you as soon as She Wills." To record your message, wait for the tone. To request another transfer, send to someone else.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.

Peyote giggled at Blaze, watching him roll to his tummy at her side. She laid near him as he slumped back into sleep. Smiling, she wiggled herself carefully out from under his arm with all the skill of a fur-mate used to untangling oneself without disturbing the pile. Once free of the warm nest of Blaze's arms, she tucks the blankets in about him a bit more, then dressed and moves off to try to find something to make for breakfast. If only she had some stable cereals, breakfast would be UBER yummy.

Dancer sat in silence for a very long time. Her gaze never veering from the rain. Then her mind came back to the here and now. Turning her gaze again to the new elf she smiled softly and said, "They call me Dancer. Sorry if I seem preoccupied but I'm worried for my friend out in the storm." With that came a heavy sigh. "I hope I see him again when this is all over." The words almost a whisper then. As if it might jinx him to say it to loud.
