Hello.
I come from a heavy windows background, and although I've been using Linux for about a year now, I still find myself switching to windows every now and then when it comes to converting video and audio into different formats. In particular, I'm looking for a program to convert .FLV into .MP3, .FLV to .AVI, and MP3/.FLV to OGG. If you guys could point me to a few programs that can do this, I'd be much obliged.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I know of three good ones you can use, I'll divide them up in categories
Video
GUI
AvideMux (Handles most formats)

CLI
FFmpeg (Handles most formats, to convert to OGG Theora use "ffmpeg2theora")

Audio
GUI

Audacity

CLI
Perl Audio Converter

vendion Gear

I used Transcode to pull the music out of a few Nirvana music videos to another file <_< I can't remember how I used it for that, though....

I've had a rough time finding a frontend (Other than DVD::Rip) for Transcode, so..... You're probably going to have to be comfortable ot use CLI to use transcode at the moment.
