This is a question that I feel led to post now. It seems like something obvious to answer... but at the same time, it's hard for me to put into words right now. I'll be compiling verses for this subject, and I might need a little help.

First of all, God is a righteous God. He cannot have sin around him at all. God does love everybody but it is their sin He hates. The Bible states in Romans 3:10 "There is none righteous, no not one", and also in Romans 3:23 it state "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". There was only perfect man which was the man Christ Jesus. He was man and yet God at the same time. Don't ask me to explain it because my mind is finite and can't explain it. It is something that I take by faith. Because we sin, we deserve death, which is not just a physical death because everyone does die physically but it also implies a spiritual death which is to spend all eternity in hell. (Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.) If sin didn't separate us from God, then, why did He throw Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden? They sinned by eating of the fruit that they were told not to eat of thus making them sinners. God had to have someone make a way for us to go to heaven and that was sending His Son to live a sinless life and die on the cross for us. Unfortunately, not all are going to heaven because they have rejected what Jesus did on the cross. There is no other way to get into heaven. "Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sins" (this is in Hebrews)

well, we talked about this at camp... let me see what I can remember...

As you probably know, God intended for the world to be "sin-free". He wants us to try not to sin, and everytime we sin, it's just completely ignoring everything he says to us. Like a person would, God gets upset when we disobey him, and that seperates us. I'm pretty sure that's it! sweatdrop
