I say we start up an RP. Theres a few people who seems to check the forum at least once a day. May as well start some slow moving RP fun.

I think a fun scenario might be to say that Cadderly has finally ticked off too many demons for him to handle with just himself and his companions, and so he has sent out a call for help.

I want to wait a few days before starting the actual RP portion. For now, just post your character and some background. This will give people who are roll playing characters that should know eachother (ie, Drizzt and Cattie-Brie) a chance to coordinate a little.

RULES OF THIS RP

- You can either be an already established Salvatore character (as long as its plausable, so no crazy evil dark elves =P) or you can make up your own.

- Don't leave people behind. This is a SLOW MOVING RP. If you've posted twice, and there is still someone who hasn't gotten a chance to post whats going on from their perspective then hold up and wait for them. This will likely mean only 1-2 post per person everyday! I just don't want 2 people going through 2 pages of RP back and forth with eachother while the others aren't around. Leads to seperate people doing their own seperate RP's. Thats not the point.

- PLEASE stay active. Don't sign up if your not going to post once every couple days at least. Its slow moving. Everyone will wait for you. So theres no stress, just 1 post here or there is all thats asked of you.

- Don't try and play god. I've done some D&D before so I'll set the stage with the NPC's once we start, but from then on you can have NPC's do or say whatever you want. Just make it reasonable, and don't counteract what someone has already done. If the person above you has Pikel helping him kill a Gargoyle, You can't have Pikel helping you with your Skeletons (Or you could BE Pikel 3nodding ).
Note: It would be polite to not hog an NPC. If you've had Cadderly helping you for a while, send him to help someone else or something.

- Just have a good time! Things could get a little rowdy depending on who people pick and what their previous feelings were of eachother. But just try and be reasonable.

If all goes according to plan, we will have a fun little RP session that lasts a long long time. Just something you can log in to in between a class or before you go to bed, express a little creativity, and see what happens.

The RPing WILL NOT start untill I say so. Like I said, I want to give everyone a chance to set up their characters first and for me to formulate a good begining based on what characters are coming.

Even though it is dropped, I've never RP'd online before (I've played AD&D, Vampire, Exalted, and Star Wars in RL).

What does it entail? How does it work? I would be totally interested in it if I knew what I was doing smile
