Welcome, fellow citizens of the Old GD.
It may have come to your attention as it has to mine that this Guild of ours is somewhat barren of late. We have a total of 53 users at the time of this message, but, while additional members are always welcome, what we need is not more people, but for our current members to come together at once.
Many people have joined us, looked around, posted, maybe made a new topic, then left because there was nobody to talk to. However, if all of those people came back on the same day, the Guild could spark into something great. People would want to come back here, and bring their friends. The first step is always the hardest, but I believe it is something we can achieve.
So, I intend to send a message to our less active members telling them to come back and maybe even bring their friends on one particular day. I believe that this will give us the push we need to start moving under our own steam.
When a date is decided, it shall be posted here.
Remember to invite your friends, and tell them to do the same. You can support our guild by making a banner or using one of our own.

Dear User, If you are receiving this message, then you are hopefully a member of a little guild I own, known as the Old GD. I've noticed that the place never really took off, despite our reasonable amount of members. The problem is, we only get a couple of join requests each day, those people usually make a post of two, get bored and never return. If all of our less active members came back on the same day, however, we could give the place the spark it needs to really get started. So, if you popped in, looked around and decided to go somewhere a little more populated, why not give us a second chance? I've proposed Tuesday, October 28th, for no particular reason (but incidentally the birthday of Bill Gates), as the date, so make a note to come along if you want. I'll be there with a few regulars to get things started. Plus, we need more staff, so, as an incentive, the user with the most posts by the end of the day could win a position as a mod (preferably posts which contribute to discussions, so don't bother spamming thoughtless crap just to win : P). I really suggest you visit the guild every time you're on Gaia for a few minutes or so - it'd really help us to get started. And don't forget to invite your friends! Thanks! - Dark Pieman
Unfortunately, due to the retarded ******** that is the GaiaOnline staff, the only means of sending a message to every member of the guid is to copy and paste each name from the memberlist (there's no "send to all guild members" option) and send a message to every member individually (I can't send a single message to multiple users unless they're on my friend list), waiting a minute for flood control in between each.

I've invited all the people I want to. The problem is getting our existing members to come back here all at once.
I'm not sure if sending a message to all guild members is an option. I asked the Q&A and they said no.
Looks like I'll have to do it manually. sweatdrop

Feel free to take a few from my list if necessary, my top friend hasn't signed up yet, but she doesn't know where to go, you could send her an invite. Just a thought. ninja

So if we can get just a few active users (at least four) that'll even help tremendously. When there's active users to reply to threads, that gives new users more hope to hang around. The new users enjoy the experience and become an active user. Then that keeps happening. Meanwhile, people who were already here before people started posting notice that people are posting during a casual visit and they become active. Then we have us a meaningful guild. I've been trying to be active, but there are never any posts. I prompt anyone who reads this to please at least check once a day for new posts, or start threads, or something. If everyone did that, this would be a lot more fun.
